Did you know that Jack once asked his fans to send him their teeth to his po box and they did? So most videos of his that include teeth are real teeth courtesy of his fanbase lol
Fun fact: while Kesha was in eating disorder treatment she did art with her fans teeth but they wouldn't let her have the fan teeth while inpatient but she used the teeth later to make art, a bra, and a crown.
I think one of the reasons why In the "artisanal" song everything looked deformed is because it's hard to see for him, it's hard for him to picture what an artisanal life would be because it's unobtainable to him and he only sees people live that lifestyle but knows nothing about how it feels or how it looks
I really liked the “It’s the flavour that you want” line in the coffee song. It clearly demonstrates how a person suffering from addiction may make excuses to avoid admitting their condition. The whole song feels like the character is fighting his own urges and his mind's attempts to make him relapse.
When you reach the age of that cookie lady, you know what you like, what you want and you deserve to enjoy your comfort zone that you created from your life experiences.
Back after watching the whole thing through! I've watched a lot of videos going through Jack's stuff in the past, but watching another one again after so long of not interacting with related content feels nice :) i miss consuming jack stauber exploration videos because it really did make me feel heard and part of a community. One last thing! I like how about half of the people MC meets in the grocery mention him being deaf (or something). First, the pecan lady, then the artisanal guy, and finally, the coffee mom. I like to think it means all those people were asking MC "why don't you get my way of life?" The towel paper guy and the oatmeal guy seem at least semi-aware of their predicament thus not hazarding the deaf comment, but the rest of them are so deep in their ways that they can't fathom a different way to live. Again, awesome video! Wishing you a fun new year :)
15:21 adding my own thought on the line here! I always interpreted it as him admitting that he cannot plan for everything, whether he's consciously admitting it or not. With your interpretation into context, this feels like oatmeal man is acknowledging that he chose the hard path, and he's coping by saying he "doesn't have the time to [plan everything out]". There an an infinite number of ways a situation can pan out. There really _isn't_ enough time to plan out all those possibilities.
Here's a small example of doing something out of left field. All my life I've been scared of playing Shoot 'em Up games because they're difficult. Then I found Angel at Dusk and I considered if I should buy it for weeks because it looked cool. Then I randomly went 'screw it' and bought it and I'm absolutely hooked. Am I good at it? No. Am I having the time of my life playing it? Hell yes! Even small things like trying a genre of games you never played can really change up your week.
edit for those wondering what the old title and thumbnail was. Thumbnail was a picture of the milk carton from the song about milk. And the title was "How An Expired Milk Carton Broke Me" Why was it changed? I feel like it didn't properly set expectations for what the video was about. Simple as that
😂🙌 This comment is just so priceless because you seem so genuine about what you wrote and I can completely understand why, but I can't find a specific reason at all as to why that would be 🤣 Dude my head hurts, don't make me laugh like that
I was watching this with headphones on and before I knew it, my grandma woke me up while I was still watching this video. His voice is actually somewhat soothing 😂
Sorta unrelated to the topic, but when you mentioned how Jack's work has gotten you through moments in life, it made me question how I have been consuming content recently. About whether I really let it move me or not. It reminded me how important it is to just sit and digest how a piece of content can affect my mentality, especially at certain moments in life. Perhaps use it to my advantage
ALL MY HOMIES HATE TURNER AND THEIR BS COPYRIGHT also unrelated but it’s so true with the expired milk there’s so many times my dad and me have forgotten to get or throw out expired milk 😓
probably "man, i sure hope i don't die of starvation today." that's how we got most of the weird mold/bacterial culture-based dishes out there today. it starts with starving people with no other choice but to see if something that looks and smells gross is actually edible.
@theorist sorry I had to 🥲 great video though, I'm pretty clueless to figuring out what these songs mean, and these videos help give more meaning to the songs
The oatmeal scene is so relatable. I spent the last few weeks planning and making goals for 2025 and working until I got burnt out. Now I can't do anything because I'm so sick I can't get out of bed. I never give myself time to rest or take a break, and now I'm paying the price. Balance is key.

Jack stauber is my favorite artist
2:56 “never fails to disappoint” I understand this was a mistake but my god it cracked me up.
Love the amount of passion you’ve got for this video bro breath of fresh air
i 100% thought this was gonna be a "bad milk" video game review and got kinda exited lol
edit: the title and thumbnail got changed rip

I cannot get the songs out of my head.
The runtime combined with the title has me believe this is a media piece on par with Dante’s inferno
I was watching this with headphones on and before I knew it, my grandma woke me up while I was still watching this video. His voice is actually somewhat soothing 😂
I love Jack shop opera is prob my favorite thing he's put out
Have never heard of this guy, but now I'm going down the rabbit hole after I finish this video

5:54 Random side question: who gets milk first? Usually cold and frozen are the last thing I pick up
Awesome video, Keep going!
"Never fails to disappoint" made me cackle
great video, I'm a big fan
omg thank you! hope the video doesn't dissapoint!
EXCELLENT YOUR EVERY DAY THEORIST WORK.
This reminds me of a more adult version of The Phantom Tollbooth...
YES SHOP OPERA REP FEOM YOUR EVERYDAY THEOURIST OHHHBHH

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I like the music choice can you put tinestamps for each song?
He character had a Dantes inferno type adventure
The Guy in the beginning also mumbled "Can I afford this?" to the free sample. Just shows how much he overthinks about basic stuff
i was just checking your channel yessirr
YESSIR
my question is what was the first guy to milk a cow thinking?
probably "man, i sure hope i don't die of starvation today."

I’m at the 12 minute mark. And damn I’m not gonna sleep now.
Amazing
God this makes me want to move to America to experience AS
love your content but hate myself for letting the youtube algorithm choose what i watch rather then actual quality content right here ToT

Chocolate milk is my favorite.

"Never fails to disapoint"? ... I would disagree 😂 sorry
My friend pointed this out and i got sad 😞
