@@coffeewithapril from the video it seemed like he was unaware of the ability to change the rpms from the three default presets. Grinder allows you to have three different preset settings that you can switch between.
@@JT-zy2ft that's interesting. That said, we haven't experienced much value in terms of taste quality in changing RPM in general. Do you have another experience with that?
@@coffeewithapril I like coffee beans with a good sweetness. Their espresso and pour-over beans both have excellent flavor complexity and sweetness. As a coffee novice, paired with April Brewer, it has become my favorite coffee time of the day.
Great video and amazing setup! We do offer the choice of either the Mazzer 33M or SSP Multi-Purpose burrs when purchasing the Orbit. The Space Gray version has an additional option for the SSP Lab Sweet V3 burrs 🙂
@@coffeewithapril i’ve been primarily using Cafec filters. Mostly Abaca and T90’s. Some Hario white tabbed as well. I’m finding it difficult to find your filters in the USA. 😔
Hi Patrick, what is the composition of your water in the roastery? I‘m useing Lotus Water Drops and want to replicate your water when brewing your coffee. Thank you and nice video!
From what I remember, he mentioned in his home brewing video from his own place that he picks up those 5L jugs of distilled water and dissolves one sachet of TWW in them. If that‘s roughly what they use at the april roastery, I don‘t know.
Great video! Would love to see these homebrewers doing a 1st time brew (similar to the Miriam video). Getting their perspectives on what settings/ratios etc they’re using (and how they’re making those decisions and adjusting) would be super helpful!
Love the setup, also have an orbit grinder and really enjoy it.
Thank you for watching. Do you have any recommendations on how to use the Orbit?

Awesome video. Very geeky setup and outfit too!
Thank you for watching as always. What was the main takeaway from this video, apart from the geeky outfit?
@@coffeewithapril The importance of April Filter to me can really help with dialing-in the coffee in a very consistent and predictable manner :)

That sounds great.
Very interesting to hear about the filters. I never knew they were produced that way. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you for watching. There is always a lot to learn. What paper filters are you using today?

@@coffeewithapril thank you. Unfortunately, they have been out of stock for the past several weeks. You can’t buy them in a bundle or separately. 😔
I was actually considering purchasing directly from your website as that is the only place I can find filters in stock.

We use a BWT RO system in the roastery which means very clean water with added magnesium. So the closest you can get is adding just magnesium.
I never ever stalled my April Brewer. Then again, I strictly use the April Filter which fits perfectly with the German made polycarbonate April Brewer
Same here.
