+Bryana Aguilar same but without the crying part
Freak dies😭😭😭
Oops...
My disabled best friend read this to me when he was dying of cancer when we were kids. Inspired me to always maintain a brute strength so I can help people. Miss you Todd.
This trailer doesn't represent the mood of the movie very well. This trailer sorta gives it a whimsical feeling, but it's actually quite dramatic and more grim.
Heh heh "grim"
Jake Marshall lol
I'm great ain't i
exactly.
L
We read the book and I imagined Freak as a tiny cute adorable kawaii af character. Like omfg
LOL
I imagined him similar to freak in this, except without the glasses, and blonde hair. Its max who I pictured differently...
LMAO same
@@shinraaa6044 same lol
@@emmaryartistry2874 same. Why does everyone have the same pictures of the characters as I do?
This movie is greatly underappreciated. Watching the movie made me cry like a bitch
Your Boy Guzma Tru that

I read this book and watched the movie when I was in 7th in my English class back in 2009. Changed my life. Now I’m the teacher… reading it to my students… hope it changes their lives too
Read this in 6th grade back in 2011. Am now about to become and English teacher myself. Can’t wait to show my students this book
@@harrymate6863 yey us :) so nice
Why dose Kevin remind me of Harry Potter?
Maxx lol
Why does Harry Potter remind me of Kevin?
Ollie Jackson And he is the same kid who got smooshed by a chair in Home Alone.
ssaaame
I read the vook un school
Saw this movie just once, like 15 years ago, never forgot it, i still think about it! Awesome movie!
Same here..Had to search “old movie kid dies chocking at school huge friend living in the basement” cuz I didn’t remember what the title was😂😅
this book is FREAKing awesome
Lool
This book is the more MAXimum amount of FREAKing awesome
The Mighty is underrated. Just like the book!
+Star-LordDavid-101 Very underrated. But boy did they overrate Sharon Stone and ignore the two fantastic boys in this movie.... >_>
It also deserves a sequel because the book got a sequel.
RadicalSonicOtaku factss
WHAT DO YOU MEAN??? I LOVE FREAK THE MIGHTY, and its the most popular book in school
The movie sucks
I finished the book today.
Yeah my teacher almost cried
Mine too lol
Like most people are saying, I am reading this in my 7th grade reading class. I am on the next to last chapter, far ahead of my class. It has good pacing, a hair raising climax, and a sad end. The Kevin in this movie is pretty much how I pictured him. But I pictured Max having more hair, and not looking so fat. I got my ideas from the 2001 cover.
When my class finishes the book we'll see this movie. Hope it doesn't soil a great book.

yea and why tf does max look like hes in his 30s
I read in in my 5th grade class
My god I saw this movie when it came out as a little kid. It has stayed on my mind for 15 years and I'd never been able to find the title until today. Looks like today was the happy google search that finally led me back to this film. I remember it so well it's an incredible film, the ending is so powerful, it moved me so much as a kid. Oh the 90's...
God this movie made me cry as a child AND I'M ALL GROWN UP AND IMMA CRY AGAIN WATCHING THIS NOW
Magnificent film ~ perfect ~ 10/10
This trailer doesn't do it justice.
+Leonard Dixon same
I studied this as a project for school. Me and another kid. We loved it. 7th grade. Crazy how so many other people did as well. This was back in 1999. Crazy how it kept going with other kids currently.
a underrated gem of a movie
This movie is so amazing that I am angered by the fact that it's not very famous or popular,it's very difficult to find in stores and it's not a Blu-ray
this book and movie made me cry, and now i’m finding out that wallace (from the scott pilgrim movie) is freak/kevin. i love him even more now
I read the hole book it was so sad at the end, my class and I are going to watch the movie can't wait
Were gonna watch the movie next week once we finish the book
The end was so sad, I got so depressed
"he punched through the glass"
Hole, breathes in, takes breath screams
Some idiot shouted out the ending when we started it
this was one of my moms favorite movies. She had watched it, until the tape wouldn't work anymore. a very under-appreciated movie!
I am embarrassed to admit but I had tears watching this movie, it is absolutely beautiful, must watch movie.
(6th grade) and I RECOMMEND THE BOOK SO MUCH. it's an amazing story (even though I cried at the end) read this book if your looking for a good one
Santina Guarino does Kevin die
Ava Lacey that's for you to find out... don't wanna spoil the ending, do you?
This is a movie that needs a remake
6 years later, I'm thinking the same thing
Why remake a classic? 🙄
BETTER THAN DIARY OF A WIMPY KID
Maria Yanez In your dreams.
Maria Yanez then anythinh
Maria Yanez no
Maria Yanez nah diary of the wimpy kid is the best
Yup
I remember watching the movie and reading the book. When I watched the part where Kevin died, I literally cried because all Kevin wanted was to be normal. It sucks so much that good people die young :(
At first when we were reading it in English I thought it sucked, but then I started to love it and ended up crying so much at the end
Seeing all these comments 5 years ago make me feel old, we watched this in 2010 my 6th grade year while reading the book and my teacher would do this thing where she stops where someone stops reading as incentive to finish the book😂
This movie needs a remake for the sheer fact that it was way too underrated when it came out. Or it just needs some spiffing up and a second release. It deserves some acknowledgement. Such sweet boys.
Freak is adorable 😂😂
Man, I just rewatched this film, I read the book years ago in elementary school and watched the movie at that time, I loved it then but now.... Can we all just stop and acknowledge how great an actor Elden Henson is? Like most people today only know him as Foggy from Daredevil but man, his acting in this movie was so good. Especially the scene after Kevin passes away, the visceral pain he shows there.... It's soooooo good! Love this movie, more people need to see it in my opinion.
Yes, I'm surprised Henson was never nominated for an award for that performance. Masterful.
they couldn't have picked better actors to play these roles
Read the book in 2016 and now that I finished I'm watching the movie
I've been looking for this film, for years. I watched it with my dad way back. I remember the big kid chasing after the Ambulance; he was friends with another kid in a wheelchair, and building the airplane while drinking coffee at the end. :)
My daughter Loves this movie, "LOVES" the book even more! She read it in school, "years ago", she's now 28 yr's old! I Love the movie also!! 👌🏼GOOD Movie!!!!👍🏼
This is a beautiful film and if you haven’t seen it, I recommend that you do.
the book was better
shana chan I disagree. I actually prefer the movie.
assasin 5 totally agree
assasin 5 Is it because Kevin is blonde like in the book? No wonder Kieran kept his natural hair color, he did not want to be confused with his more famous older brother.
The books always better
I like the video game
I read the book twice in 5th grade and 7th grade. Watched the movie in 5th grade and 7th grade. Found a VHS copy of the movie a few years later. Still watch it every now and then, and I enjoy it every time I do.
My teacher read the book to us, it was super good. We got to watch the movie, we loved it alot
They assigned this to be our summer reading book last year and I didn't read it. But I watched this movie and I got an A on the test for the book
+Billythewizzard The book is actually better.
+Sandra Noneofyourbusiness all that matters is I got and A
Oh. Silly me. I assumed an enjoyable reading experience was important.
Glad you got an A and didn't have to actually read.
um thanks I guess
freak the mighty is the greatest book there is
so many life lessons that we'll never learn anywhere else
Still my number one favourite movie after all this time.. :')
One of the best movies I've ever seen. I'm here after Kieran Culkin won the Golden Globe for Succession and I remembered this wonderful movie he did
Our school is reading the book
Same!
So is ours and half the class almost cried at the ending
Dont tell me what happened Were on chapter 16
Same, some 8th graders spoiled the book for me during woodshop when they saw me reading it :/
:\
I totally remember this movie! :) Back when I was in high school I read the book in my Literature Class and then we watched the movie. Oh man, this totally brings back memories! I haven't seen the movie in a long time!
I read this book back when i was in elementary i loved it then found out they had a movie I love that even more and I cried at the end
One of the most emotional movies I have ever seen.
the book is so much better
Omg right??
Thats true
It's not .
You are so cool
My class is reading this. 7th grade. And so far the book is amazing. We had to learn that Kevin have Morqio Syndrome to more understand what he's going through in the book!
Me2.

The book is one of my favorites. A total classic in my opinion.
I just finished this book in language arts. Watching the movie soon!
I tried so hard not to cry during the book's ending
Phenomenal film. The book is even better. My pet cockatiel died yesterday and I'm looking for anything for closure.
Im so sorry. This movie is also a big comfort for me.
My family found a cockatiel outside and we had him for 9 years. They are so kind and lovely.
We watched the movie in class 5 (I was probably 11 at the time) and it was really shocking, but also very teaching to see this as a young kid.
This is the most 90s movie ever
We just finished the book at school and I watch the trailers to the movie along with the book and my literary class likes the book and kinda dislikes the book
I've read ahead of the class and the book was great
Time to watch the movie before everyone else
potassium osmium hey guess what
He dies 😉
Someone had uploaded the whole movie on RUclips and I just stumbled across it by accident and watched it...One of those accidents that I am glad happened because I loved it....Reminds me of the movie”Simon Birch” 👍👍👍

the book is way better than the movie
Never saw the movie, can ya tell me what changes they made
Wir haben den Film gesehen und waren sehr inspiriert.
Wir haben auch sehr gelacht und sehr geweint.
Ein hervorragender und wirklich GANZ besonderer Film, an dem kluge Menschen sehr viel Freude haben.

HIS FATHER IS HOODINI

The end of the book always made me tear up.
So I just read this book in language arts, and tomorrow I'm watching the movie and ahhhhh I'm so excited cause the book was amazing!

Harshvir Mehra DUDE WHAT THE HECK
In more way than one his heart was too big
My teacher just got done reading the book to us and on Thursday and Friday we are going to watch this!
This movie was a crowd pleaser back in middle school
After failing the 7th grade twice, it's pretty impressive that he became a New York lawyer. I guess his time with a disabled kid helped him appreciate blind lawyers.
Reading it rn for language art class
This movie broke me when I watched it again as an adult.
i just finished the book today in ELA, half of my class was sobbing the ending is so sad
