I remember this episode but didn't get to finish watching it😢 I was 12 lol here I am at 49 yrs old & finally getting to watch the entire episode 😅37 yrs later
I remember this show on mine iPhone 4 in 2010 😢❤❤❤ when I was 8
@@Chris19885 LOL mine was back in the 86 😆
Ultra Magnus was never in the show until the movie and season 3
This is not the episode
This only aired in Japan, this is a fan made edit and dub. This was supposed to introduce Ultra Magnus before the movie.
If you grew up in the 80's you had the best child hood
Yep, example, i loved get smart so much that i loved every moment they decided to put on reruns, and i came home from school hoping to see a rerun and they had "teenage mutant ninja turtles" and i was like WTF is a ninja turtle put getsmart back on, and the rest is history. TMNT is such an iconic 80s childhood memory, and one of a handful iconic cartoon characters used to create a anti drug movie. MIchaelangelo was the most famous turtle so they used him, bugs bunny etc
Agreed 👍🏻
Proudvto be a child of the 80s
Yes we did
Facts
This takes me back in time. Enjoying cartoons. I’m 49 and still watching them
I am 50 years old and I watched Transformers from the beginning back when they first debut back in the 80s. I had just about very Transformers collection plus watched every episode including the movie and this is the first time I ever watched this Scramble City episode in all of my life. I'm saving this to my save list so I can watch it again especially since I saved all the Transformers episode already and I have Transformers the movie on DVD and VHS (I still have my old VCR lol) so I can watch this episode before I watch the movie and complete the whole story line. Thanks for sharing this.
Yep same here
@@garyreeve6793 same
Same.
Same Ive never seen this before????
So what happened to your toy collection? Still got them?
Whoever dubbed this in English did a great job sounding like the original voice actors.
And the tie fighter dubs
Agreed! Except for Ultra Magnus, lol!
Even Starscream sounded like it was done by Chris Latta.
Except optimus pri.e
@@DavidRodriguez-ty8nqUltra Magnus sounds like Henry Rollins.
there will never be anything like the 80 's ! everything on TV or the movies was awesome and original !
...mate, I hate to burst your bubble, but the 80s you're talking about doesn't exist except in your nostalgia and imagination, because no, no it really was not.
@@Spike-Prime Kind of was though mate. Pizza eating mutant turtles fighting a brain in a robot's stomach? A guy with a talking car as a partner? Time travelling cyborgs?
Kinda......kinda was bud.
@gavinpowell4607 most of those things are still around, and for TMNTs and Transformers, the 80s isn't even close to those franchise's best eras. Especially not the Animated cartoons.
And if we're talking just animation, my generation had Avatar The Last Airbender, Batman The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, the list goes on.
But like any era, there's always tonnes of garbage to go with it. Ya just forget about that stuff and remember what you liked, usually through Rose tinted nostalgia glasses.
@@Spike-Primeyeah but the 80s trash was much more entertaining than the 90s 00s trash. The 90s and 00s trash is just trash. Was there for all of it.

This is incredible! The added footage explains Trypticon's re-origin in 5 Faces of Darkness and finally brings Scrambled City into the G1 continuity!!
Thank you for salvaging and improving this lone but cool story!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@AwesomeRandomVidz Matrix, the ending with Cliffjumper had me in tears, as it comes full circle to setup the Movie.
Thank you so much for your outstanding efforts!
The only flaw is that the video title doesn't mention the added Continuity Completion. I could have passed this over as I've seen Scramble City before.
This was the episode Season 2 should have have ended with and should have been made official. The episode "B.O.T." was not very good.
@@laurentecrivain6944 Actually, I consider this to be between S2 (1986) and the Movie (2005).
Having this ep in S2 1986 would be too early.
this is how I spent many of my childhood hours...getting ridiculously over-excited about watching this, or M.A.S.K., Visionaries or any of the other myriad crazy cartoons of the 80s. Take me the f*** back!!!!
Jace And The Wheeled Warriors , M.A.S.K , Ring Raiders , Starcom , Bionic 6 , Bravestar , GI.Joe , Turtles , and the list go on best cartoons ever 🎉🎉🎉
This was the best episode.. They had all the combiners and Metroplex and Triptacon..
Megatron didn't want to admit Starscream was right at the end lol.
Thank you for bringing back the 7 year old in me again. This is how the finale should have been.
The heroes of 84 and 85s last big victory. Well done, guys well done.
As a Transformers geek who has played with them since 1982 this is the first time I saw this one. I wish they would make more G1 inspired series and movies.
Amen to that
Absolutely
So, since Transformers didn't come out until 1984 how was it you were able to play with them since 1982? I was born in 1972 and I was 12 when they first came out is how I know this little factoid. And no, the Japan only series started in 1985 and I know that little fact because my neighbors growing up were Japanese.
@@babylon5reimaginedseries You know that Transformers existed years and years before the actual show right? All those bots from Season 1 are an combination of Diaclone, Jet Robo, Beetras, Joustra, Microchange, and more famously Astro Magnum (Shockwave) sold in Radio Shacks in 1983. Transformers toys were in fact sold in America prior to 1984 under different boxes such as Diakron and Kronoform. Its not impossible for this commenter to have played with transformers Pre Rub and G1. Its totally probable because I still have some of my Euro GIGI figures I got when my dad was in Italy (Original pre transformers Twin Twist and Topspin) . There is a reason why you have a black reissue Encore G1 Ironhide. Check it out.
@@jeffeastwood1051 Yes, and I'm sure if I wanted to draw a comparison, I could take us back before Barbie dolls existed in the 1950's and further if you will. And that's not what the OP said. They said they played with Transformers- not pre-Transformers or Transformers before they were Transformers or Micro Toys line or what have you.
I have to say this was definitely the best voiceover done for Scramble City. Voices weren't perfect but they for sure came close to the actors they were emulating. The video edits were smooth and the original music used was an excellent idea. Awesome job!
Most of the sound effects and voices of the Movies where based off of this TV show, the transformation sounds and sound waves voice is the same.
@@HOLLASOUNDS yyy
Whoever spliced those old clip together towards the end did a REALLY good job. That provided proper closure to the Scramble City episode, plus was a perfect tie-in to the movie
It’s actually extremely jarring and does not fit whatsoever
A great line for Megatron - "One day, Starscream, you'll say one word too many, and I'll personally tear you apart!"

So much better than B.O.T.
It sets the stage for The Movie.
@@TaliaIGhul it does
This is way better than B.O.T
But it's still set 20 years before the Movie if Spike, Carly & Sparkplug's ages are anything to go by.
I do love how TIE fighter noises and Star Trek door effects were used in the OG cartoon
This was a good production. Way better than all of Hasbro’s current!
So much BETTER okay @matthewmattson7584.
Definitely a classic! I remember my grandma taking me to a screening of Transformers The Movie back in 86. I still watch episodes these days just to get that old nostalgic feeling 🙂
Whoever did Starscream's voice has him spot on!
Every voice was spot on
it's Chris Latta, he's the same guy that did the voice for Cobra Commander and Wheeljack

For years I’ve wanted a bridge episode between the 2nd season and movie to explain all the gaps. This was actually quite satisfying. Very well done. Thank you for this.
THis was not made by him, it was made by members of TFCog.
Not a bad bridge at all. My only question Ii s why isn't all four Combiner Groups not named the Constructicons not featured in the Transformers Movie instead of being in the series before and after the Transformers Movie?
@@johnflowers2736 TF:TM was in production before the series first aired. Chances are the other combiners were created after the final draft of the movie was completed.
@@day7jamison Oh-Ok-That's Info I had no idea about-Thanks 👍

I’m a diehard Transformers fan that was amazing. Congratulations to everybody involved ties up the story nicely.
All of this voice dubbing is really well done and spot on!
Gotta admit, I love how they completed this by splicing together footage so it linked with the movie. Nice work to the creators.
This has been around for awhile now and it’s an amazing production transforming it from its original Japanese to English! The voices are pretty good too! Great job and it explains a lot between season two and the movie in 86!
Gotta say, this passes as the real thing in my eyes and ears, very well done making this
Nice work! This is how the 2nd season of the G1 TF should have ended, a nice little prequel for coming events in the '86 movie!
It's good to see Ultra Magnus, Metroplex, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Ratbat and Trypticon present for the first time in this fandub video. You saw Trypticon destroyed by Metroplex during their first confrontation, but it was rebuilt 20 years later to fight his common adversary once again in season 3.
I love Optimus Prime & Ultra Magnus.
I had no idea as a kid, but the show really did turn into a constant ad for new toys, one after the other LOL
But hey, the fan voice overs were cool. Great work!
How ?
This was INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you so much for sharing this gem!!! The voice acting was AMAZING!! Starscream and Megatron really shine here, excellent work!! Absolutely going in my Transformers Favorites!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The Season 2 finale we should have gotten.
Righty'O mate!
Yeah don't know why we never got this
They was promoting the movie heavily by then
@@chrisedwards3214 it was a contract dispute with the animation company IIRC. Even to this day they don't want to include it in the Canon that was shown in the USA.
I mean as a kid, what we got was still awesome in the 80’s because it was transformers. Really, they didn’t have to do this back then because of children just wanting transformers and they didn’t try to analysis why it was a certain way. Best audience is always children for cartoons and to sell toys!
Could have thrown in Omega Supreme too. Gotta love how he can whip any combiner, but tends to be mysteriously absent most times they show up.
This was amazing. I used to watch the vhs tapes and the movie until they wore out. This explained so many missing gaps and pieces. Thank you for this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love that I can finally watch this, who knew Steeljaw could fly?!
Or Ravage.

Ultra Magnus made his first appearance, who is the new commander of the Autobots.
The voice over on this was EXCELLENT! I can tell that a lot of time and effort was spent trying to get the characters to sound as much like their original voice actors as possible. This is far and away better than the usual dubs that are out there.
Same Soundwave sounds boss who did this?
That was awesome why Michael Bay couldn't stick to the source material
Cause Michael Bay has a giant ego and thinks he is bigger then everything. I can’t stand his movies. Like some how making the biggest explosion means he has skill. He took a movie franchise that could of been amazing and turned it to complete garbage so bad that even Bumble Bee and this new movie are going to suffer from it. I am afraid with out a 100% reboot the franchise will never work.
Since rise of the beast is coming and they will use the Bumble Bee timeline they can go ahead scrap all the other stuff start fresh and give us what we need the actual time line.
Michael Bay sucks.
I wish they did a open world Transformers game based on all the gen 1 characters!
To this day I still don’t have a decent answer to that question. Why couldn’t they just start over and use the original source material. Its obvious with the Bumblebee movie that someone must have at least considered it but still got it wrong.
This is awesome!! The nostalgia of the 80s🔥🔥🔥💯💯👊🏽👊🏽
Excellent job on the voiceover. Netflix can't get theirs this good.
Duuuude!!!! You freaking nailed it!!!! I really like what you did! Awesome voice overs too!!
Nice work on the voice acting. Megatron and Starscream are some of the best I have heard.
Wow, thanks!
This is done way to well! Holy crap thank you so much for this!
Glad you like it! Thanks!
This storyline should have been a three-part miniseries. For the movie, I think Prowl should have been at Autobot City, alongside Ultra Magnus, as head of security forces there. Also, let him survive to help rebuild Autobot City.
I honestly felt like I was watching a new episode of the show! And I specifically watched it on a weekday afternoon just like in my (after)school days!
That was insidiously genius, Dead End latching onto Superion's leg and incapacitating him...thanks to SOMEONE'S foul-up! (Oh, Fireflight...)
Special shout-out to Chris Jones for his ultra-deep Bruticus voice!
Thank you so much for this, ARV!
This was the most awesome Transformers commercial I've seen!
Not bad, man. I'm impressed. I'm building a Transformers story of my own, still in development at the moment.
the music is so well placed
Massive respect to the fan voiceovers, great job considering what you had to work with! Well done, brought back big nostalgia vibes 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
The second half is really cool, since it bridges the gap between Scramble City and the movie, with like why Metroplex and Trypticon aren't there but in the following season.
Wow. Seriously? I really enjoyed the voice acting in this. Well done! I think Frank Welker would definitely be proud!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What is this? Ive never seen this episode before.
@@domayn7 It was a Japanese exclusive originally. It takes place between season 2 finale and before TF the movie. it kinda contradicts season 3 with Trypticon already being built and if you notice, Metroplex looks like his toy rather than how he appears in season 3.
Damn, finally I can really enjoy the episode
Enjoy mate!
I love megatons voice so much, looking at this they really took kids seriously back then. It wasn't movie grade but serious no wonder they built a billion dollar property with this stuff
Liked! Wow, that was great! Well done guys.
Thanks for uploading this! I always wanted to watch this as a kid watching the director’s commentary on the 20th anniversary dvd of the original movie, but I never could watch it and especially not in English back then
Welcome!
😂😂😂😅😅😊
You couldn't watch it in English ever because this is a fan edit. This didn't exist
As I child I saw this episode and was so amazed. Metroplex first credit and his fight with trypticon. Later on with internet show-up, I was desperately seeking for this episode and finally here it is. Imagine my vibe now.
The voice acting was remarkable, especially considering how distinctive the original voices were.
Holy shit. This was amazing and though everyone was so good, Soundwave was spot on! Someone needs to call Hasbro.
Now THIS is the fandub episode before Transformers: The Movie & it's the best PERIOD!!!!!
This is fantastic! Very nicely done. Some comments:
1. Ravage flying at 2:09 cracked me up for some reason. Jump, kitty!
2. At 11:03, I'm hearing Fireflight say, "I love you, Prime!" :) We get it, buddy.
3. Onslaught's accent at 11:32, "Combaticons, mairge...into Beiruticuss!" Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
4. At 13:04, the snarky narrator, "With the Autobots' usual regard towards all life...or not..."
5. Metroplex's wasp waist at 13:45. :)
6. Trypticon's very quiet purring at 14:44. :)
7. Bravo to putting the ad exactly at the commercial break!
8. UM's nonchalant "Mmm-hmm" at 20:14.
Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
I don't remember ever seeing this episode on TV. This must be the finale right before the movie. I've always wondered why Metroplex was dormant and Triptacon was absent. Now I know.
This is a fan creation and edit. That's why you never saw it on television. That being said, it was f***ing awesome! 👌
This was a japanese release only originally. The ending was modified by the people who dubbed this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers:_Scramble_City
Great job!
This has got to be the bridge between season 2 and the 1986 Movie.
The 1986 Transformers movie is my favorite movie ever.
Other than that, cool:).
It is the space bridge between the final season 2 episode B.O.T. and TF: The Movie. For reasons only known by people that make more money than me can say why Scramble City was never for the US audiences. We get to the movie and their entire 84 characters are wiped out (aside from Jazz who was supposed to have a big part in season 3, but Scatman Crothers who voiced Jazzed had passed away). We see Spike as an adult married to Carly with their son Daniel. We see Ultra Magnus, Kup, Arcee, Blurr, Hot Rod etc. and no back story for them. Again people "smarter" than me made this choice not to air it for the US.
I can't believe it took two years for me to discover this gem
this is awesome, great work, voices are like 99% spot on!
The voice acting for this was really good!
Gotta love the originals
Grew up watching these straight after school
I rushed home made my toast, cereals tea.. and sat and watched. Good times
Man, what an incredible episode, cant believe I never saw this one!
Originally done in Japanese and never released to a US audience. Hasbro were dummies and decided not to introduce these characters until the movie and season 3 was released
It's a fan made, edit and creation. They took parts of a Japanese episode and redub them and rewrote them and spliced another thing. So you've never seen this episode because it didn't exist
This is awesome. The edited storyline really connects season 2 with the movie. Great job
Nice presentation for this classic.
I grew up in 2010S I watch this show on iPhone 4 and I was in love with transformers when I was 8 in 2010 This is W now i am 21 2024 and I love transformers 2007 and rise beats 2023
I wish I could have made the narrations, I can voice similarly to Victor Caroli
This was my favourite chapter ever, and last time I saw it I was 12yo. So happy to see it again. I will show it to my 5yo son LOL, he loves Optimus and has it as a toy.

This was perfect, and is the best tie in, to movie and season 3
this was perfect.. I wish other you tubers would do what you did and make a slot like they use to do back in the day for commercials .. truly brilliant.. thank you for sharing this with us..
i personally enjoyed this montage very much from splitting up japanese anime (originals) to the transformers the movie bits. As a story line (if this would be real), it really flows well in the way that the story is told (and thus bridging the gap between season 2 till the transformers the movie).
I love how you guys did your research on this, and tell a story that would fit a void (even while there are different season 2 sources out there from... I dare not to mention the Headmasters series ;)).
I also would complent on the voice acting job. It was done consistent and balls on, and fits the story pretty well. Even with in mind the limited resources that go with it (I love that part how creative you guys can become on that note)
In other words, awesome job!
Great job! The ending setting up the movie was brilliant
thanks!
Nicely done. So authentic & good quality
That was really well done. The voice work was excellent and the characterizations varied from pretty passable to spot on. Creative use of editing to make it fit in continuity better. Amazing job.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
I wish the original voice actors were able to do this. Unfortunately, now more than half of them have passed away.
Never seen this before. I'm almost 50 and thought I'd seen all the episodes.
This is a fantastic made episode so this isn't an actual episode
This is not a real episode. This is a fan-made episode.
There's so much story telling to be told between season 2 and the movie. They could definitely do an entire season. Basically do what the Japanese tried here with Scramble City
Yea if there ever was a hand drawn cartoon series again, it should be the period between Season 2 and the movie. So many different great stories could be told, including the origins of the Matrix

11:15 Roflmao The Wilhelm scream >< I'm not keen on the Japanese writing, it's usually silly, but because this is not a plot-heavy episode, thanks to the voiceworks and completely redesigned and westernised sound, you guys made this watchable! Thank you and well done!
Well spotted, they buried it under other sounds and I missed it first time!
Honestly nothing wrecks TV for me more than sounds. When I hear that scream I'm reminded I'm watching a show/movie and my immersion is instantly broken. I go from enjoying something to thinking about sound effects like that (Snaps fingers) and it's very hard to re-immerse myself back into the show after that. Another one that triggers me is Bear Growl #2... Every single show/movie uses the same sound effects for bears and other large animals, it absolutely destroys any immersion I had at the time of hearing it.
The Combiner's swapping of limbs was really silly.
I loved the cartoon as a kid and watched it all the time and even now I have the 1986 animated movie on DVD but now as an adult I can see this episode is not only an bridge into the animated movie its also a 20 minute ad for all the new toys that came out at that time
The 1986 transformers movie was a 1 and a half hour toy commercial!
Brilliant! Almost perfect. The only thing missing is VIC CAROLI for the narration.
This brings back great memories. Thanks
This is incredible! Great work! I am curious to know which program you used or how you were able to capture the 80s synthetic effect of the voices?
