  • The second half of my 3-day trip to Fukushima took me to Ouchi-juku, which is known for its many thatched-roof houses. Perhaps because I went there first thing in the morning, there were almost no tourists, and walking along the streets, I felt as if I had really stepped back in time to the Edo period. It was like something out of a fairy tale, or a scene from the original Japanese landscape.
