    Ace what up!
    Because of your videos I'm in Ecaudor right now. Did a month long surf trip up the coast. Starting in Guayaquil, then to Playas, Puerto Engabao, Montanita, Olón, Ayampe, and Puerto Cayo. I'm back in Ayampe as I'm writing this. I love Ecaudor and scored some amazing surf.
    You have to talk about what just happened in Montanita and Manta. I'm sure you can give an in depth view about the situation. I also don't let a couple gangsters influence my view of Ecaudor. Much love!

      I’m really happy to read this comment, more than anything because you’re here and you’re having a blast!
      Let me see if I get a chance to talk about those topics, would hate for anyone to think I’m fearmongering when I’m just trying to be informative but I do find that to be an important topic. And as you said, do what you gotta do and don’t let the gangster influence get to you. You know what you’re doing and as long as what you’re doing is good stuff, bad people won’t be a problem.

      Always glad to help. What I will say is just a clarification for the nachos which is that we also ordered 2 shakes and some fries (which we had cancelled but apparently they didn’t hear us) so that’s why the price was a bit steep for those but I did pay $20 and my cousin put in another $5ish so I still feel like the nachos were kinda expensive. All the other prices are as is.

      Cuenca is great, I’ve only gotten to spend a short amount of time there but each time I’ve gone it’s been really nice. I might be playing a football game there in these upcoming months.
      As for Quito, I hope my video didn’t give the impression that Quito was bad or anything, on the contrary it is an amazing city and I wish I had more time to spend there to see if it could be my favorite.
      The good thing is that since it’s all in the same country, you can always pay it a visit or consider relocating at a later date.

    I spent five days there. I did double decker bus tour which was great. The plaza it stops at was great. Weather except at night was lovely. I found a sweet and coffee on first day and i became a fan. I paid five bucks for pants in the artisan market and that was great
    But i dont love quito. Compare to cuenca, cuenca i did love. Even without the sweet and coffee

      Glad to hear (read) that you had an amazing time! I didn’t get to go on the bus but I did see it. Sweet and coffee is great! Different cities have their own coffee shops like over here we have Bloom and Dulce y Cremoso, there’s other ones too but those are the standout ones. Glad you got a great deal on those pants!
      Cuenca is great. When I was there I thought it was so clean and organized. Can’t wait to go back one day!

      That’s really interesting. So, is it literal in the sense that cars go out by color or is that just the name of it there?

      I’m trying to decide between the Philippines and Ecuador! So you have been to both countries? Is the quality of life better in Ecuador than the Philippines? Is the food healthier and fresher in Ecuador? I like that in the Philippines the people speak English, and there’s so many different islands to cheaply travel too. I’m also looking at Paraguay but it looks a little boring! Maybe that’s ok. 😁

    Hi there, nice video. I am staying in Quito for five days and in between one day going on a trip to Cotopaxi. Are there many stray dogs/animals around in the main (touristic) areas in Quito? I am asking because wanting to know if it is necessary to get the rabies vaccine before that. I would appreciate your response. Thank you.

    • @GMAceM
      @GMAceM  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hello there, thanks for your question. I’m not currently in Quito but I can tell you what I saw in the time I was there. The touristic places I went to (Pululahua, Centro Histórico, Parque La Carolina) I didn’t really see an abundance of dogs that was concerning or anything of the sort. There was this one park (Parque Itchimbia) I went to the first day I was in Quito that had a few more visible stray dogs and it wasn’t like the number on the streets was absolute 0, but at least I didn’t feel like the dog problem was terrible at the time I was there. If you happen to plan on visiting the countryside or off beaten paths or maybe decide to walk around alleys, then you might spot more stray dogs/cats.
      I hope this analysis helps and thanks for watching!

    Haven't been to Ecuador yet, but you and Don have me almost convinced. I really love Medellin, Col. and have been several times, but you mentioiined interacting with the people. I speak Spanish but I can't understand why people go to South America and get angry when they can't communicate in so many places. It's really ridiculous. The best thing about travelling is the people you meet. I am always getting invited into peoples homes in Colombia, Mexico in many countries. It's simply being amigable, friendly and open, if I'm curious why something is done a particular way (that may simply be different than what I many be used to), I'll ask about it. People love to explain things about their culture and their countries. and always appreciate the interest. I can't tell you how many peoples entrie families, tios, abuelos, y mas. Why I'm moving to south america.

    Cinnabons are pretty great
    Taxi from airport to city my research indicates that is at least 25. I hadn't heard anyone doing it for 20, but it must be possible. It just seems unlikely a newcomer would pay less than 25

    • @GMAceM
      @GMAceM  9 месяцев назад

      Cinnabons are awesome! Too bad I can only have them whenever I’m in specific cities lol 🥲
      The taxi from the airport situation is a tough one. $25 seemed like a lot until I realized how far the airport is from the middle of the city and then factored in the fact that it is the capital city of Ecuador so things are a bit more expensive. I’d say as long as it doesn’t hit $30 then it’s all good.

    Una pena que el crimen esté subiendo, pero es normal por la inmigración y este ambiente enrarecido pospandemia.
    La verdad es que Quito, al ser una ciudad tan grande y con zonas tan diferentes, el modo de vida puede llegar a ser completamente opuesto, por ejemplo en el sector de La Carolina no te hace falta carro porque tienes de todo a 20-30 minutos caminando, si solo planeas tener ese tipo de vida más moderna y variada es ideal. En el norte es más barato, puedes encontrar zonas bonitas y seguras pero necesitarás carro para todo y la gente no va a ser tan "moderna". Ya en el sur es todo más saturado, tráfico imposible, menos cuidado y moderno, más peligroso y sin tanta influencia extranjera.
    Ace, sin ánimo de ofenderte, solo como una crítica constructiva ya que yo no me atrevo a hacer lo que tú haces y sabiendo que es osado hablar, pero algo que en mi opinión puede mejorar mucho la calidad de los videos, es que tengas en cuenta el énfasis y tono que le dices las cosas, porque a la hora de hablar le das un tono similar a todo y se hace cansado de escuchar (sorry).
    hehe

    • @GMAceM
      @GMAceM  Год назад

      Buenas noches Sebas! Muchísimas gracias por tu comentario. Considero que las críticas, siempre y cuando sean constructivas, son fundamentales para poder crecer en este ámbito. No soy un youtuber grande ni nada así entonces sigo aprendiendo y esto me ayuda a mejorar.
      Referente a Quito, sigo insistiendo que es una ciudad genial, seguramente si caía allí primero y vivía mis 10+ años allí sería mi ciudad favorita, pero como no logré conocerla lo suficiente y he hecho mi vida en la costa y además aún tengo punto de referencia mi vida de estados unidos la verdad que sería tremenda competencia a que cualquier ciudad sea “mi favorita”. Sin embargo, quiero regresar a Quito 🥹
      Y por cierto, me podrías explicar bien a qué te refieres con el énfasis y tono? No sé si es que en este video se me fue muy monótona o algo así, en caso que si puede ser porque estuve sentado en esa posición 2+ horas y aunque me paraba porque las luces se apagaban igual se sentía muy incomodo. Lo bueno es que es bastante entendible creo porque mi comunidad siempre dice que hablo muy claro el inglés.

      You are absolutely right but just to clarify, the nachos themselves weren’t $20, they might’ve been around $15ish. The bill came up to more than $20 but that’s because of the 2 shakes and some fries (that we had cancelled but got served anyways) but my cousin paid for the rest of the bill. I just wanted to make an emphasis that in that outing I spent $20 but the actual total might’ve been around $25ish, my cousin took the receipt for that one though so not sure.
