As a Colombian person I can say that Ecuador is currently living the past turbulent years of the 80's and 90's in Colombia. It is inevitable that Ecuador will or has become a Narco State when the government has turned a blind eye to Narcotrafic and is directly benefiting from it all. America were focused in Colombia and Mexico but they forgot Ecuador and are now and Always catching up to a situation that evades them should I say ( for ever) . And as I say: behind an empire of wealth there's always a great crime.

USA shouldn't have to fix other countries problems. Problem is you're a catholic country. But actually your country isn't Christian. Not say USA is perfect. Because we are becoming less Christian and more pagan, Godless. Doesn't help when we are invaded by non Christians from around the world.

Colombia is safer than those times in 80s and 90s however you stll have to be careful, there is crime still ramped in part of Colombia like Meddellin. What is happening in Ecuador is that there are Narco cartels trying to run havoc in Ecuador and a few Politicians are benfefiting from this. In the videos you know who are the Narco cartels gangs, There has to be a sting operation. Whats has happened similar to what happened in Colombia that something very tragic will happen that will lead to an all out war where there is no other solution that to hunt those Narco gangs with what thet they did in Colombia. What happened to Villavicenicio is just the start.

There is a lot of truth in what you say, but it is not true that America forgot Ecuador. Ecuador's previous president forced the United States to leave and closed our military base there.

Latin America has a organized crime problem that’s a real threat to modern democracy. Almost every government in latin America are in business with these drug organizations. Bring in extreme poverty and a weak economy and you get this. There needs to be a multinational response to this phenomenon.

Yeah. True. If only America would legalize all drugs, this problem will totally disappear. But that ain't happening, because the politicians and heads of acronym named agencies can't profit from the trade anymore.

El Salvador was about gangs terrorizing the country. These are cartels we are talking about in Ecuador. Big big difference. But i agree with you. Someone like Bukele needs to happen but it won’t be close to anything as successful as El Salvador…

Ecuador has many desirable attributes, it needs some reforms like most other places. Less neo Marxist identity politics, less corruption, a general public that cooperates to take control of the country, demanding better from government, sowing safety/prosperity/development into the future.
