Veteran tips: -Dive down from the sky map -Follow the main quest up until you part with impa in the air balloon. -uncover every tower to unfold the map - complete 4 cities in the main quest to unlock all 4 champions. -get all the shrines and max out hearts and stamina (this is the time to find all the armor and equipment, koroks if you desire) -optional: finish all side quests. - finish the main quest and smoke Ganon. If you follow TOTK in this order you will appreciate the game so much more.
If you slowly approach horses while holding food, such as apples, they won't run away. This was a fun discovery. Also if you have save data from Breath of the Wild your horses will transfer over.
I'm in awe. This game has everything! The comfortablility and familiartity of BOTW. Not only do we get the sky islands but caves and 58 wells to explore which some go really deep! and of course, new shrines. Not to mention sitting there for hours making stuff and contructing new objects. Goodbye real world, Hello Hyrule for the next.... forever.
@@G0MER13 Elden Ring has awesome combat and graphics, but thats pretty much it. Botw has so much more. The shrines alone could be its own separate game.

One of the caves next to a stable near eldin area gives you the fierce deity mask and then starts the quest for the whole suite which gives you atk up for each piece. You also get the double helix sword if you come back with the whole suite
Say what you want about Nintendo. They are one of the few developers that will sell you a full, finished, polished game upfront and not load it up with microtransactions to pump all the money they can out of you.
ALSO! Their games typically aren't riddled with bugs that require 4 years of updates before you can get through most missions and after the 4 years of updates/bug fixes some bugs are still never patched.
Wow. Thank you for this list. I've been roaming around Hyrule trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do to get things like the camera, hitching a horse to a wagon, exploring caves/caverns. It's not discussed in the adventure log.
Found out that if you fuse the master sword with a block of ice or any ice item you can hit an enemy with the beam and freeze them, pretty cool and funny 😅
If you played botw before and have it installed on the console, if you catched horses in botw you can find them back in totk, like Zelda’s white horse from botw
Its a great game but it does have 2 flaws found in the first 2 hours of game play.First Ultra hand is great but a little tricky to rotate sails and place them upright on the rafts.And wishing they could place side mission markers options available.The game can get a little lost sometimes without general guidance.
4:08 if you burn those plants, a chamber under the stairs is revealed with a strong bow in it. It has 14 attack damage. Also, a few seconds after this, why didn't the ign guy just use ascend to get up, instead of telling people to climb lol.
Best thing to do go into the depths and go below where the colliseum is you will see a place called the floating colliseum go to the chest in the middle and look around there will be something to help open it and the chest contains majoras mask

Just ordered an oled switch,is Zelda like WOW as in endless ,or can it be completed with an end boss ? are there updates to keep playing? new to switch thanks for any help .
wdym first, this is like the whole gameplay loop, discovering nowadays ppl just don't understand the concept of "just go out and find out what to do" ?
@@roodinverse the comment above yours literally says the opposite... in this game all the amiibo armors can be found in the game without amiibos, unlike botw where they were required. The only exclusive items amiibos give you are paraglider skins, which are purely cosmetic. They also don't drop weapons anymore like in botw, only outfits. In botw your comment totally applies: there were both weapons and outfits exclusive to amiibos.
I've challenged myself to walk the railways tracks in this game as tightropes and it's become my personal goal to only tightrope walk them to beat the dungeons and such. Let me know if anyone else does this. 😎
Yea this game is just beyond great, BOTW while still a great game basically becomes obsolete with TOTK. Because virtually everything BOTW had TOTK does better
Not me just realizing that there was an intended path to follow before exploring. I just saw smoke and ran towards it. The castle also looked scary in the night so i didn't want to go there.
For tips regarding where to find certain things in certain location. Who will remember these? No point watching about these that are bunch into a videos. Such a big world game.

They did miss one. Early in the game, there's a cave to the right around the castle town that has a chest with a level 5 climbing shirt. Very handy

Protip for 2:08 : you do not need to attach fans to the glider to reach the main island. Steering by standing on the glider works perfectly

If you go behind the castle into the cave that leads to the old boating dock from BOTW you can get the Hylian Shield by igniting the fire pit.
Just found this in my first few hours of play and it was a very pleasant surprise.
Veteran tips:

A skeleton arm fused with another skeleton arm is a super easy 40 damage weapon early on
Unfortunately the fused bone arms don't last more than a few hits.

They botw horses are in the stall just go talk to the horsekeeper at the front side

They do, you’re just limited to one active quest at a time. If you go into the quest log, you can turn on the markers for side quests

If you want to get the old paraglider go on top on temple of time where you get the paraglider in botw

Attach a ruby to your shield and it will increase your body temp making getting those pants easier…I found one in a cave

First things to do…shrines and towers to gain heart containers, stamina and fast travel points.
COOK MUSHROOMS AND FISH! And other foods, you got 3 hearts brov. You can make an hour or 2 of cold resistant foods

Since a lot of the terrain is the same, it's not exactly its own game. Its fantastic, but it's more like botw 2.0.
