Zuko vs Azula... A redeemed prince against a mad princess. Where before he was ridiculed whilst she held superior skill, now she is the lost and misguided pitied by him who found his path. Her control deteriorated into rashness, whilst his rashness turned into temperance and control. This fight was set up and executed nigh-on perfectly, with this remix capturing that same essence. And so shall we cherish witnessing them both to the end of our days.
I love when we watch this duel, nobody cheers or chuckles, we just sit there both in awe and with a heavy heart. The nature of the duel is tragic. Siblings fighting to the death. Sure Zuko and Azula may never have gotten along, but they both are still blood, they still grew up together, they’re still family. I have siblings and to think that I would ever had to fight one of them to the death would just shatter my heart and soul. You can even tell Zuko didn’t want to kill his sister, but if it came to that, he would have to accept that.
Yep. As someone who can relate the the horrible sibling relationship, I would give anything to have it fixed. But I also have accepted the path they took and if I had to, be the river of fire they can't cross to get to those I now consider family.
This is undoubtedly one of the most emotional scenes in the series. I have always felt the music in here was underrated. It is so beautiful the way the simplicity of it really complements the tragedy it accompanies.
The fact, that I instantly see the fight before my eyes, can feel the emotions, simply being in that fight by just hearing your work of art, really speaks for itself.
Bro, literally when I heard the first 20 seconds I liked the video, because you included the intro that no other version on youtube has… Also the whole music hits really well. What a great work.
I love this piece because it's so chillingly badass but has a hidden meaning, this is the right between someone who was a gifted prodigy from the beginning and someone who was always seen as a disgraceful failure. This is intense, powerful, emotional and this battle displayed growth of one and the downfall of the other. It's so haunting because this fight wasn't to declare a winner, but to show the difference between both of the royal siblings. *Also that first fanart picture was gorgeous, I like how we see the blue dragon for Azula and the red/orange one for Zuko, it reminded me of the episode where Zuko has the fever and the blue and red dragon talked to him in his sister and Iroh's voices. But I love how it also displayed his tutelage from Iroh, his mastery of fire from Ran and Sha and his newfound power as a master himself.*
In the episode, Aang's fight with Ozai has all the sound effects of the explosions and elements, laughter, dialogue. In this fight, there's none of that. Just the music
"Ogres are like onions, they have layers." "Oh, so you talkin' 'bout like Avatar The Last Airbender!?" "Yes, Donkey. Now let's get back so I can banish you all from my kingdom."
Zuko:"There's something off about her..... I can't explain it but she's slipping. " Azula:"it's just you and me, brother.... the show down that was always meant to be. "AGNI KAI" Zuko: You're on.

Azula and Zuko both fought for their own honor. Azula wanted to live up to the expectations she was getting. She thought that was honorable and that's what she believed until the end. Despite it being the hard truth, her mother thought she was evil. Her honor was with Firelord Ozai to the bitter end. Like Azula, Zuko too had his honor with Ozai. Probably more dependent than Azula since he never received much expectation and he wanted to prove him wrong. Ursa, the mother of the two, said she admires how Zuko never gives up. Zuko practically lives up to that. When he's lost everything, he never stopped. He fell into the depth of despair and confusion but he always stood up and tried to find his grounds. While screaming for restoring his honor, he always somehow knew things were wrong. Unlike Azula, he finds honor is not something you are born with nor is it something someone can provide you with. He helps to restore the balance of the world and in the comics, he even had to restrain himself from becoming a tyrant, which was all set by Azula. It's almost ironic that when he tried so hard to restore his honor, it was far from being restored. Yet, when he let goes of the goal, he restores his honor. I love the depth of the entire series. Imagine looking at this story from the point of view of a normal citizen 100+ years after the war ended. This would be the stuff of legend and folklore. They would tell bedtime Storys of the legendary prince Zuko who took down the mad princess azula and helped save the world. Azula would be portrayed as almost a wicked witch type character. Zuko is focused and technique oriented with a mission, keep Azula busy. Azula is spiraling into a mental breakdown faster than the Titanic sank. She's all offense and no defense. She's distracted. If you're distracted and unfocused, you make mistakes.
Azula though cruel and well deserved her punishment, yet her story is one of the saddest, because she has to make things right with no one but memories of her mother inside her brain to guid her and to believe in her, from her final appearance in comics it's clear though somewhat vaguely she tried to help Zuko becoming better firelord, she did it for her brother and she vanished leaving no trace asking for no acceptances baring honorably the mark of dishonor on her name for her brother's sake, the very same thing Ursa did for Zuko

За душу бере) споминаю Азулу , и хочется заплакать. Мне иё жаль( Не смогла разобраться со своим внутренним миром ( В конце все иё добило(.
born to be lucky vs lucky to be born
Nice
This is some real Dark Souls boss music...
❤❤❤❤❤
wow! great cover! what VST did you use for the percussion? it sounds great
I'd have to check. I mainly used the Daikos from East West Storm Drum series. I'll get back to you on the exact name
I can't find the original on his Soundcloud anymore (maybe it is named differently?) anyway thanks for uploading!
I'm not sure what you mean. This is my original (I'm JJ), and I actually haven't put any of my orchestral covers on my SoundCloud. However, I guess I could, if people wanted it.
@@OhBoyYeah Oh! well first thing, this is a great piece of work! I thought that the reason you put your Souncloud in the description was because it came from there haha. I wanted to leave a comment and like/repost it :)
@@HansWurst1569 Okay, no worries. Perhaps I'll make another SoundCloud link for my covers. I just want to use my SoundCloud for my originals. We'll see.
@@OhBoyYeah x(
@@ensisg3775 I've got a soundcloud page up and running for all my covers. No need to look so dead XD
Am I allowed to use this music for one of my videos please, or no? Or who do I have to contact to ask?
Yes for sure. Use it. Just give me and the show's composers credit.
Just a 16 year old boy fighting his own family for sake of the world.. just sad.
Good at being bad vs Bad at being good
Sun burning.Vs.Sonburned
Dude, this is crazy. Is it ok if I go ahead and sample this?
Sure. As long as you give me credit, as the sample origin.
Always man💯
I am trying to find a song that would fit this tone. Everyone in the comments says this portrays a beautiful tragedy. It's soft and flows but bring a real impact at the same time and holds tension. Does anyone know where I could find a list of songs that would be of similarity to this "formula" ill say?
What do you need the music for? I compose original music, if you're interested. (Some of my originals sound similar to this)
@@OhBoyYeah I am a young game programmer (literally about to graduate college). And I've got that dream game that I some day want to make right? Well I recently decided that I would want to try and just make the main menu for it with music. With the intention of seeing what people think the game would be about just based off of the style of the main menu and it's music.
I'd love to hear your originals, but I'm not really into the whole idea of collaborating yet because this is YEARS in the making.
@@matthewragas9030 Oh cool. Well here's my SoundCloud link; m.soundcloud.com/joshuamolyneux
Good luck with this project, and if you would like me to do some music for you, then we can talk some other time in a more professional way.
