Neat detail for yall rewatching the series In the first agni kai with zuko and admiral Zhao, Iroh constantly tells zuko "remember your basics" and "go for his roots!" So zuko fights more basic than Zhao, but in the defining moment, sweeps his leg, which ultimately wins him the fight. In the final agni kai against azula, zuko does fight very aggressive yes, but when azula puts him on the defensive, he does exactly what iroh taught him, and actually beats azula with the same leg sweep.
@liamatte Yo, I'mma need to re-watch the final agni kai because I missed that little detail. Matter of fact I remember that now. OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THAT DETAIL! Dx
"Going for the roots" is not representative of Zuko, but rather just a practical tactic against the particular bending style he's facing. The real life martial arts that became the base of earthbending and firebending draws kinetic energy from footings. Therefore, doing leg sweeps and breaking their footworks will dismantle their bendings. Iroh wouldn't tell Zuko to "go for the roots" if he was fighting an airbender or a waterbender. Airbending is based on the Bagua which delivers light strikes and has emphasis on walking around the opponent, making it near impossible to target their footings. Waterbending which are based on Taichi does not launch strikes as their primary tactics, and therefore does not rely heavily on footings.
Which is also true to real life martial arts - I do not remember if it was Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee (could have been neither of them), but one expert once said that in an actual fight they would not be using all the complicated techniques that they use in movie productions. They would more or less use just the most basic forms of their art.
@@Luke_Danger This is very true; when adrenaline and stress runs high, your most concrete, basic techniques are where your mind falls back to, which is why it's highly emphasized in martial arts that you train yourself to have a solid grasp of foundational techniques. 1:14 it's not a dance! It's an ancient art of firebending!
*mouth starts foaming*
You guys did a great job on "The Last Stand of EFAP" video!
2:59 “Boom! Chocolate, chocolate, boom! 🍫 , 🍫 , 💥!”
🤣
I thought that too.
I never even noticed 😂
Super Goose And now you can’t un-notice. Sorry, lol. XD
I cannot unheard this
Bully: Fight me!
Me: in Agni Kai!
Bully: no bro we’re cool
My inner chakras are unlocked.
I like this one, it gets more and more aggressive till the end and that bass is very important and you did a very good job with it.
That scene with the fire masters and them doing the dragon dance was so damn fantastic
Me after seeing zuko vs. Zhao: nothing can beat that sound track
Me after listening to this: how can you think anything is better than this
Timeless classic, so glad you remix these kinds of tracks
Thanks *SO MUCH* for this Samuel Kim! Really! As a long time fan of the series from the first time it had aired on television I'm happy to see this getting so much attention! Long live The Avatar: The Last Airbender! For *HONOUR!!!*
"So, this is how the great Commander Zhao acts in defeat? Disgraceful. Even in exile, my nephew is more honorable than you!"
YESSIRRRRR😤😤🤙🏾🤙🏾 This gave me Zuko vs Commander Zhao vibes ASAP!!!
Yeah me too💪👍👺👹
Hands down, one of my favorite episodes.
That asobi asobase picture tho
Never clicked so fast fr
This is an epic masterpiece
Goosebumps, just goosebumps! If Netflix is really going to make Avatar live action series, they need to hire this guy!
They are actually gonna make a live action series soon. You're dream came true xd but without this guy haha
Best avatar fight in my opinion, gorgeous choreography, story, reversal of roles with asula being hotheaded now and zuko being calm. Zuko using all the techniques he learned from waterbenders, earthbenders and of course ang the air bender against azula. Zuko is the greatest redemption arc character ever in my opinion.
This is the most dramatic bowl of noodles I’ve had.
XD
"I must find the Avatar, to regain my honour"
Simple dialogue, yet so deep, we thought he had to capture, so did he. But it was about being friends and rethinking his destiny...
Incredibly gorgeous interpretation of this theme! Agni Kai is one of my absolute favorite songs from this series and you captured its raw power perfectly.
The fire in this is enough to wipeout the Air Nomads
Too soon buddy.....112 years too soon...😂
I heard this live at the avatar concert in Berlin last Wednesday and I got literal chills! 😊
Zuko has the best character development in the entire series.
Me doing my chores happily cuz this playing in the background...
Also me- Does nothing right and breaks everything and also puts the entire house on FIRE.
" *Why am i soo bad at being good!😭* "
What I would give to hear this live, this is an absolute masterpiece
Agreed I would actually spend a lot of money just to be at a live concert with people playing this🥰🥰🥰🥰
The OG Agni Kai music is my freaking ringtone. I LOVE THIS
Crazy how every event in your life has led to you reading this comment.
Life in itself is crazy
destiny is a funny thing ya know

Ok, I'm having existential crisis now
@@idontwannabeanonymous4725 the First step to become a philosopher about life
The dislikes are from people from the fire nation that lost an Agni Kai
So Zhao and Azula definitely disliked this vid
@@gtrfan137kereere6 for sure
BRO I thought it was a piece of hair on my screen🤣
I love how you use really strong, triumphant French horn lines to illustrate power within your music. When they’re used as counter-melodies, they’re amazing and they compliment the piece very well. Fantastic work! Keep it up!
2 AM, I see this in my feed, listen to it, and I’m crying just bopping to this absolute masterpiece. The switch back and forth from Agni kai to the main theme is like HEARING Zuko’s inner turmoil of good vs evil ❤️❤️🔥
Brooo after your last one I was like “man I hope he does Agni Kai next”. Haha. Amazing as always
as a kid I always understood and loved Zuko, didnt really get why until I got older, but because of it this score always has me ready to move forward in my life. its a source of comfort at this point.
HELL YEAH!!!
This goes in my playlist now!
Thank yoooooo!❤️❤️❤️
To my ears, this is better than the original. I hope they continue The Last Airbender. Great job!
I can not tell you how much it warms my heart to see Avatar The Last Airbender content being revived. It really does take me back to the good old days.
I really love how you incorporate the main theme of a series into your songs like this one with the main avatar theme or with your marvel character songs that have the avengers theme mixed in.
This is like the most nostalgic and most epic series ever 👌
When the two smart kids get different answers: AGNI KAI
DAMN THAT LEVEL OF EPICNESS IS UNMATCHED
1:15 gives me chills every time
This is one of my favorite Avatar soundtracks thanks!
Also can you do nate's theme from uncharted?
Well put together, when the avatar sting started you put the dragon dance in the background, instant chills
"Even in exile, my nephew has more honour than you."
You are an absolute legend!!!!! Thank you for this
Not even a single soul:
Me listening to this: ChuchachuchAchuchachuchichuchachuchachucha
YOU MADE IT! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This is soo nostalgic for me I feel like crying and screaming
just in time for the show to pop up on Netflix
I've never seen Avatar, but this makes me want to watch it. Great work sam! 😁
Dew it.
Wait, I need a more appropriate quote. Hmmmm.... Oh, I know!
"Do it!"
I finally watched it for the first time earlier this year... Easily became one of my favorites of all time
That’s rough buddy. Just kidding, watch it, you won’t regret it. :)
I watched it, and no, I do not regret watching it. This show is now one of my favorites, definitely on the level of clone wars
Iroh and zuko are the best characters
Shit still banging in 2024 🤘
everyon's talking about the GREAT music.
nobody gonna mention the goddamned 10/10 image & animation?
i SWEAR i can see the fire-breath 'moving'
