In September i done the London Heathrow qantas direct to Perth then the 5 hour flight to Brisbane, never felt so ill and tired in my life, it was a hard trip to make but so worth it for sucha beautiful country
That sounds epic after coming down to Perth on the 17 hour flight and then onwards for another flight to Brisbane! I would of certainly been drained too 🫨. Great to hear you enjoyed your time here in Australia and thank you so much for watching too!
We booked tickets direct from Perth to Gold Coast, Feb 25. (Jetstar). We just got info that our travel had changed. Now we are flying Perth to Cains with a stopover and then Cains to Gold Coast. If I had know this I would have booked Perth to Brisbane then bus down to Gold Coast. I wish now I had booked with Qantas
Ah thats terrible! It's always disappointing when airlines make substantial changes like this 😟. Perth to Brisbane on Qantas and then a bus to GC would indeed have been better...
Ah, yeah unfortunately the Qantas 737s aren't all uniformly the same in their cabins 🙁. I have also been on the ones with the TVs on the roof and agree it's not a good experience at all!
Agree! I was lucky to have TV's on this particular 737 flight to Perth. Wide bodies would be fantastic instead of the 737s - There are about 4 or 5 Qantas flights each day between BNE and PER all on the smaller 737s. Having A330s would be a much better experience.
They don't use widebodies as they don't have to. There is no competition in our aviation market on major routes. VA is just a LCC for economy, so QF have no need to compete any harder. More money can be made with the widebodies elsewhere.
The 737 should be outlawed from flying more than 3 hours. The 737 800 in particular is horrible, as it is usually configured with 12 business seats at the front with one washroom and then the remaining 160 passengers fighting over the other two washrooms at the back, with the single aisle usually blocked by the drinks cart.
I agree, some people even go as far as to go with the option to reserve the middle seat in economy so they can have a gap between themselves and the next passenger in the 3-3 configuration in Economy. The toilet issue indeed can't be solved as well as the drinks cart blocking access in the single aisle. The A330 or 787 would be much better for this route!

Good lord, QF 737s does look in a desperate need for an upgrade! But their service have always been great.
100% agree 😅

At least that had in flight entertainment! Mine was a 737 and the entertainment was on the roof hanging down and you couldn’t hear anything 😂😂😂😂😂

Jetstar flies Perth to Cairns. I'm sure that's further than Brisbane.
It's very close! However Perth to Brisbane is slightly further by about 150KM 🙂.
Why qantas doesn't use a wide body between Perth and Brisbane is beyond me. Plane shortage maybe. At least this one had tvs

@@thewindowseat77did Qantas stop using the a330 to Brisbane? I’ve been on it multiple times PER-bNE

Ew the dinner looked disgusting.
It certainly doesn't look appealing 😂! Nonetheless the taste was fine.
