Drill Press Auto Lifting Table / DIY

When using a drill press, we always have to adjust the height of the table. This is because the length of the bit is different and the height of the member is different.
It has a very old form of crude handle that doesn't match the development of other tools.
Strangely enough, the drill press doesn't seem to generate power.
Fortunately, Bosch has developed a product called PBD 40, which allows it to move with a circular handle.
The height is adjusted in a very crude form using worm gear and rack, and because of the nature of the product, it's often placed in an environment where iron is easily processed and contaminated, so it's understandable that it's the simplest structure. But considering the price range, even products over $1,000 had small handles in the form of small balls of iron, not handles, which hurt my hands every time I worked.
I don't understand this no matter how many excuses the drill maker makes.
So I took out the weak metal bundle and changed it to an easy-to-fix handle.
So, I made it so that it can be lifted automatically using a 12V deceleration motor.
The height of the drill press is a structure in which when the handle is turned, the worm gear moves up and down on the rack. The worm gear was removed and the shaft of the deceleration motor was directly connected to the handle of the shaft.
And I made a motor box and attached it to the turning part by hand.
The combination of worm gear and rack is a structure that can move enough for small rotational force of worm gear, and the gear ratio of the deceleration motor is very low, so it is not difficult to move at all.
Because it is a 12 volt motor, it used a 12 volt adapter, and the switch used a momentary switch.
Only while the switch is being pressed, the motor must rotate and move the table.
With a simple installation, the table moves up and down very smoothly by pressing the switch.
It's so comfortable to use. I wonder why the company won't improve this simple part.
Motor and adapter switches cost less than $20.
If I develop a product, I would like to make a product that can do both lifting, fixing lifting, and controlling speed.
It's really simple to implement, so I hope you guys make it.
