  • In this video, you can learn how to make takoyaki in Japanese and also see what I did at the meetup event with students. I had two meetup events with students in the US (San Francisco and Los Angeles) in November. We had so much fun making takoyaki, and playing Japanese games! I'm sorry I forgot to film the game part. It will be included in the LA meetup video! Hope you enjoy :)

Not to be an annoying pedant, but did you mean "batter" (runny, liquid mix for baking, like pancakes for example) when the subtitles said "butter"?

3:58 the word "ese" we use it in Mexico (Cholo culture and Chicano culture in L.A) to greet someone, example: Que hay ese? Que onda, ese? 😂. In English is like: what's up? What up; dude, homie, buddy? But the meaning in japanese.......damn! 😂😂

Oh! You are a teacher. I'm going to be so much more critical with my constructionism from now on.
Turn 1: in American English Beat ( your word for Mora) is not a set time scale, it needs further clarification to say what you are trying to say. It would need the Scale to be stated. It is a Music Study word, not a common language word. To say Mora in our language we would not have a single word like "Beat", just say "length of time" and give the parameters.
I had no idea you were a teacher of Japanese Language. I will help you teach to common people (non-degree bearing). I thought you were just a random chica. Finding you are a teacher I feel obligated to help you with your common English as College Level english for learning foreign languages is EXTREMELY difficult as many hundreds of millions of us did not study English as a major. Did you know Romanized English is not involved in our language on the commoner level? It is not taught unless you specifically choose English as a college career path. We don't use those symbols nor do we in general know what any of them mean. Using it to teach makes us need to learn a supplemental language in order to translate the Asian Language teacher.
