  • NOCO sent me a GB20 'Boostsport' portable jump starter pack for me to try out on my little bike and show you all how well it works. The only problem was, my battery has never gone flat! So I'll come clean and admit that I may have left the lights on on purpose in order to get the chance to try this little box of tricks out for realz!

That intro was pretty funny. Your posture expressed excitement and joy and then slouched in disappointment. I lost it when you pulled out the box. Not even a minute in and I had to pause it to take a break.

Thank you for this walk through and discussion of safety features for the Norco being used specifically on a motorcycle. It wasn't easy finding a jumpstart video for a motorcycle that doesn't say to clamp the black to something metal and not the actual negative terminal. Which is contrary to the Norco's instructions and was causing me to question if the Norco's instructions should be disregarded for motorcycles and were only intended for cars. This just helped calm my fears of jumping my bike with the Norco boost plus. And how. Thank you so much.

I know it was done for effect and the making of this video, but trying to start a bike when the battery is low on charge can kill the starter sprag clutch. So, if you think this situation might apply (your bike hasn't been used for a few days or even weeks without connecting a battery charger), please use a booster pack straight away.

@@terenceokeeffesmotorcyclestuff Just like mine (1994 Trophy 1200). Thankfully (and keeping EVERYTHING crossed :) ) my bike has not had this issue - which is not bad for a 26 year old bike with 63k+ miles. I don't use a battery tender, I put a charger on it every couple of weeks or a day or two before taking it out. I also use a booster pack every first start of the day especially in the colder months. Oh, and I stopped using conventional 'wet' batteries some years ago - I got an AGM battery which is now on its 4th or possibly 5th year.
To be fair on the sprag clutch issue, if you search YT for 'sprag clutch' without putting a make, you'll find quite a few different brands, including Honda and BMW :)...
