I love stuff like this. The stock Interceptor is the sound I would want from my bike. That being said, as much as I love Royal Enfield, the modified Triumph exhaust was better. I guess it was much more expensive, though, so if you take that into account, the path forward would be looking for a better aftermarket Interceptor exhaust. Maybe. I don't know. Why the hell are you hurting my brain, Warro?!!!

The Triumph have the baffles out sounds pretty loud.
The new Speedtwin sounds awesome stock better than the T100 Bonneville which uses peashooters. Also stick Speedtwin 900 sounds better than Stock Interceptor.
    I might get one a Speedtwin 900.

I reckon the stock interceptor sounds the best out of that lot.
Those interceptors sound great with the right pipes.
Also think the older triumph triple 885s sound better than the newer twins.
Had a Legend TT 99 mod with Triumph accessory straight thrus. Magnificent triple bark.

yeah its an 865 scrambler with a highly expensive exhaust. i traded this not long after that and bought a new 900 street scrambler. triumph dealer sold this bike in less than a day for $11500 - that was $2500 more than he gave me ...lol only had 6000 klm on clock too

Both sound amazing! I had a '13 Bonneville T100 with British Customs Sleepers exhaust, volume & tone were perfect. I de-cat'd my RE Classic 350 and installed the open air cover (stock filter), also perfect / absolutely love it.

The non-stock on the Interceptor is gnarly, Warro. Are they street legal? I'm in Victoria.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  2 месяца назад +2

i'd say probably not legal anywhere but that one on the triumph belted the crap out of it. maybe not so in the clip in fact i couldn't hear anything and the roof rattled...lol
but for the $160 outlay on the enfield i think it's pretty good as that triumph unit would cost a good $1000 plus
but in reality either unit would give you a friggin good head-ache...lol

No Way. Straight pipes like that are often stamped for competition or off-road use only.
Many people use them anyway including me🤣

The enfield pipes are to heavy as for putting eBay pipes on it when enfield make a really great pipe to put on instead of the stock pipe costs a bit more bucks I think about 500 bucks or you have s&s pipes I have the enfield pression pipes on my continental-gt 650 sounds great on the bike

The stock Interceptor exhaust is very heavy, though it still sounds nice. That Scrambler looked great - and with an old-school choke! Youngsters today wouldn't know what they are, or how to operate them! 🤣

Park my W650 next to a RE twin and the Kawasaki, although a 2001 bike, looks much nicer and more authentic.
