I wasn't expecting a full instrumental, but that didn't hurt the beautiful sound to my ears one bit!
Most new-ish reactors were surprised it was an instrumental. This video was actually made earlier this year. It was on the bonus DVD that came with the Unleash EP in September. This was the opener for them at the Aftershock Festival right before their US tour started. It was in the middle of their set list during the tour so Saiki could get a break from singing.
You could always just start at the bottom of their discography and work your way up. Or on their RUclips channel.
"There is an elegance that goes with their sound" That could be the best description of B-M:s music I ever heard and something I always wanted to say, but never could find the right words for! Thank you!

They played this in the middle of the show at every venue on their October tour except the last show in Chicago. 🤷🏻♂My favorite instrumental? It is now. From now on? Band-Maid is always producing songs that overtake my previous favorites. That's what great Awesome bands do. Peace. 337
They did a brief set of dates in Japan on Sept., And they opened with this then, but when they toured the US on Oct, They coupled this with another instrumental Onset in the middle of their set to give Saiki a break.
Also when they played support for Guns'N'Roses after their Us tour, this was the opener
This song literally was the opening salvo of their entire US Tour, when they opened their set at Aftershock with it. It....was........AWESOME!!

Elegance is a very beautiful word that I think fits many of Band-Maid's songs perfectly, and this one in particular. You hit the nail on the head for me with this one, and you speak from my soul.
Even in my native language, German, it's hard for me to put into words why I like this band and their music so much. And when translating into English, I feel that a lot of the little that is there gets also lost. 🙈

The feeling of elegance may be due to their incredible melodic sensibility. Even their instrumentals are melodic, with Kanami’s guitar taking the place of vocals in a very effective way. They all show off without going off the tracks, and without anyone dominating to such an extent that it’s unbalanced.
Oh for sure, I have always gravitated towards melodic rock/metal more so than screamo/thrash. I could just feel it.
They played this on the US tour. It is the opening track on the 'Unleash' EP. First official instrumental MV that they did promise they would do.
You guess was right! They have used this song as the opener at several FES where there are many first timers for Band-Maid. This song can instantly grab first timers attention for sure!
For their solo concerts, they have used it in the middle to give Saiki a break👍😉
This band and Nemophila and Unlucky Morpheus are like the holy trinity of new discoveries in the past 2 months for me.

After Saiki and Miku's vocal polyp surgeries, they began to give their vocal health a priority, to include Akane's back ergo adjustment needs. Thus, we are graced with instrumentals, code name - Saiki's "Pee" break. Recently, they've incorporated 2 back to back instrumentals 2/3rds into their US tour setlist, giving Saiki at chance for a nap to boot! We gladly received those moments, Po! Btw, "From Now On" is the opening track to their latest EP Unleash! Imua! 🦍
Many of us just recently saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. And the BPM’s matched the DB's! 😶🌫Thx, Spi-Ben!

Great reaction. I use "DEEPL" for translations, that seems to work better than google. There is just something have Band-Maid that keeps me coming back to them over and over. I've listened to a lot of Japanese band since discovering the amazing depth of bands over there, but I always come back to B-M for their talent, compositions, melody and just awesome songs.

Prior to discovering Band Maid several months ago, I've been exclusively listening to Kpop since 2017 (SNSD, Taeyeon) and our maids were the only ones who managed to pull me away from my Kpop goddesses, which says a lot.
And yeah, this was their opening salvo when they fronted for Guns n' Roses recently in Japan 😁
SNSD is my favorite group of all time. I been listening to KPOP since 2005 but mostly stuck to girl groups and Korean rap/r&b soloists. Built since I've started my channel 3 months ago, I ended up getting a ton of boy group requests and it's been a treat as I have realized I had a terrible deposition on boy band music this entire time, lol.

I was actually running an SNSD fanpage in FB for two years now but got into copyright problems last
September which blocked me from posting anything. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise because that's when I stumbled into Band Maid.
Never been a fan of any boy group, not my cup of tea ☺
@@jennyarriola324 Jeez, you became a SONE before their hiatus... that must've been really hard. I remember making a promise to start doing reaction videos (if) they came back. The very first reaction I did when I opened this channel in August was when they came back with Forever 1.
React to "Thrill" it is their breakout MV in 2015. They were struggling as a band and "Thrill" was to be their last release as Band Maid. Someone put the "Thrill" MV on FaceBook. It got 2 million views in 2 weeks with 45% of the views from North America and Europe. their agency changed plans and we have been enjoying Band Maid ever since. The US and Europe are their primary fanbase.
Slowly going backwards into their music video releases since I just only discovered them. I plan to react to their live performances once I've seen most (if not all) of their official M/Vs. Thank you for watching!

I'm going to take a stab at guessing why you're picking up a certain elegance in their sound. Our guitar goddess Mincho is a genius composer/arranger, and even though there's often a TON of stuff going on at the same time, you can still hear every part - and every part seems to be doing their "own thing" but the parts, even though they're different, weave together to form a perfect union, resulting in the song you hear.
It also helps that from what I can hear, unlike 70% of todays Western bands, they don't sound "over produced" that I start thinking "this is too much"

Since I've only known about the band for about 8 weeks, I have not found the time to properly follow and track their up to date statuses. I appreciate the information.
Interesting way to do it, going back from the latest. I found them a year ago with the live versions of "Play" and "Choose Me." Since I'm not a reactor I binged-listened/watched and bought everything. My only recommendation is to just go back doing both live and MVs as they come up. Plus you might want to check out the acoustics "Sayonakidori" aka "Nightingale" and "Catharsis" from their Christmas 2021 concert/gift to fans, soon as they will only be up for a limited time. I tried doing that, but with so many new bands, I decided to keep it easy on myself and just start with the freshest videos so I dont have to rely on tracking which ones I watched using a note pad. My mind kind of goes crazy when I am deep in multi-task mode lol. I think for bands like Unlucky Morpheus, Nemophila and BAND-MAID, i may do multiple reaction releases in a single day.
Right now, RUclips has a thing where if you upload more than 2 videos in a 24 hour span, you run a 50/50 chance of the other videos not notifying your subscribers even if they hit the notification bell. It's a weird glitch, but people will only see 2 video uploads unless they check out their Sub feed page entirely.

With the amount of new bands I get requested every week, getting around to live performances gets pushed back. Honestly though, I have asked my viewers about it and 95% of them told me to take my time. I thought about spending an entire week on just going through 1 bands official music videos just so that I could get to the live performances, but then I would run out of content to do much quicker for that band.
dude... since you listen to KPop, check out SB19 and their disco-pop all English song called WYAT (Where You At). They're not KPop but rather PPop (Pilipino Pop).
