what i love about the pregnancy test option is that the test actually shows 2 lines if the sim is pregnant and one line if they aren’t. That way you can actually experience it yourself if you pause and look at the test before your sim reacts
Sadly, when you woo-hoo with someone and are not pregnant, you can’t use them to get your sim pregnant in mc command right away, you have to wait like 8 hours before it’s possible. But if you do wait an amount of time, you can do it, plus, if you wait enough time, you can also change the dad and make it the partner you wanted.
My sim was pregnant with triplets. Her hubby was dead when her son was born and she got pregnant at the age of 22 years old with triplets and her younger sister gave birth at age 17 years old. When her son was born Eliana went into labour and gave birth to Alika, Ellie and Ellie at age 21 years old. She was pregnant
It's exactly like in real life... dilation takes a long time. So the idea is, you DONT go to the hospital as soon as you're in labour. You're usually told to go as soon as your waters break. When I installed this mod, I went to the hospital as soon as she was in labour and then realised I'd made a mistake and was going to be there hours!

I agree with the ability to spped up delivery for the sake of realism. Some births can be days from first contraction to delivery, some can be a couple of hours there's some factors that let you predict whether birth will be fast or slow (e.g. first labour is usually* the slowest and subsequent babies usually arrive faster) but there's also a lot of unpredictability. *usually but not always
Don’t forget next time to get the yoga ball!! It’s in build buy mode you have to search for it and their partner can give them a massage on the ball and you can do exercises on the ball.
As a birth doula the ability to do breathing exercises and sway with the partner makes my heart very happy. Now if they can include alternative birth positions with the next update... 😍
I have seen a sim who was a great-grandmother get pregnant again and that was because she was pregnant so much that she didn't age and when she was about mid adult she was already a great-grandmother, eventually she died when her great-great-granddaughter was also pregnant so she just didn't become a great-great-great-grandmother. Almost 6 generations
my step-cousin just had his first kid last year. the same year, my step-cousin's great-grandmother turned 100 so they visited the great-grandparents and took a photo with 5 generations of their family. it was very cool
the other day i was playing and my sims mother came to visit (she was an elder with only 2 days to live) and i was very shocked to see she was pregnant, really don't know how that happened lol (i checked and my settings were normal) i just ended the pregnancy using mcc and 2 days later she died lol very weird and random

if you shift click on the birth machine, you can select for the sim to be fully dilated, that way you can speed the process up!

Sims will often try out different positions if you opt for a home birth.
