just turned 25 today, growing up playing with my older brothers in ac2 and silent line was def the most fun times of my life and the fact that this was dropped on my birthday gave me tears of joy, nostalgia and memories of my childhood... hats off to you @fromsoftware

Will never understand peoples obsession with graphics. It looks great, and has a clear style. That’s enough. Great graphics are nice but will never be necessary for a game like this.

My goodness this looks jaw-dropping, badass and technically beautiful. The sense of gigantic scale, the snappy animations, the multi-transforming missile firing mechas. Outstanding work FromSoftware!!!!

Honestly this was such a joy to watch. From Playing Armored Core 2 as a kid and seeing this brings me so much joy. Also hearing callsign RAVEN again really just hit the ace for me. Can't wait for this game to come out! Haven't been excited for a game in such a long time!

From the looks of it it's gonna be a blend of 4 and 5's gameplay, with 3 and 4's aesthetics. "enhanced human" makes it seem we might actually be piloting NEXTs again, but from the footage they appear to be weightier. I'm hyped for this new AC game, all of the previous titles have been mad fun.

I'm sure people will criticize this gameplay based on how bad the graphics are or how uninviting the game looks. But those are the same people who release very polished gameplay trailers, which are just faked. This, on the other hand, this is actual screen recorded gameplay footage, not pre-rendered, not staged.

It's not so much fighting, basically you ride a tank in humanoid form. You can change every part of your mech but it is restrained on how many weights your mecha leg can lift. The heavier the mecha (or in this case called "AC" the more sluggish its moves but capable to bring heavier and bigger weapons, the smaller your mech the faster and stealthier your mech gonna be"
The movements seems great! Also like a hybrid of 4 and 5? Like, fast and slick but not too weightless. Heavy and full of velocity yet not sluggish. This is the AC I’m waiting for!

Note that scanning makes an appearance here, and mission length is likely going to be longer like 5's to facilitate the new Repair Kit system and attempts to update level design to the current FromSoft standards. Multiplayer is confirmed PvP only. ER's Colosseum update mirrored AC4's PvP modes, so we're likely getting something like that but with better maps.
This looks AMAZING. The movement looks fast and precise but not weightless or without intent. The weapons look extremely fun to use and the gameplay looks exciting and thrilling. As a fan of the series, I'm happy to see the new age of Armored Core finally come into the light. FromSoft never ceases to amaze me these days.
FromSoftware just keeps raising the bar, and they deserve all of the praise and credit they receive, especially in helping rejuvenate the single player experience! Their attention to detail is nearly unmatched! 🤝

@@CCD2938 Honestly, the mechs have always looked great, but AC has struggled in the past with environments looking a little too drab. This release should continue the visual improvements made in the most recent AC titles because they now have lessons to take from the Soulsborne series.
This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting from this game it feels like a wonderful evolution of the "for answers" gameplay the bosses are epic and deadly the mechs are chunky but fast and the world looks dystopian as hell lol thank you fromsoft for not forgetting about the AC franchise. Now for August to get here.

Maybe those solar flare-like energies enveloping the planet shown in the reveal trailer will be the new energy source that they will fight over with, as stated in some articles.
Remember, Armored Core was the first project Miyazaki ever worked on, before Demon Souls even existed. Excited to see where they take this, and if any elements of the Souls franchise end up in this, especially after the mainstream success of Elden Ring.

This honestly looks like the perfect amalgamation of AC 3, 4, and 5 with some extra new mechanics added in. Now that we can trust the gameplay willl be more than just solid, we only need a few screenshots of the garage/shop to trust the customization.
Never played one of these before, not really a mech guy either, but from soft hasnt done me wrong so far. So simply knowing its a game from them gets me hyped
And you know the game is going to have meticulous build crafting. Lol, cant wait to see ol Patches and the Moonlight melee weapon. Wonder where Patches will be if he returns. The sword is given and probably awesome in the right build.
Mechs are back on the menu boys GODDAMN those enemy mechs look insane I'm assuming some of those will be bosses obviously but like those attacks look incredible... And of course the moves the player uses seem to be insanely varied which confirms a large arsenal which of course the enemies will have to be designed to keep up with... Just from analysing basic details from this trailer we can tell this will be an absolute banger of a mech game

I'm so hyped. I'm a "new" fan, as new as it gets for a 10 year dormant series, having started in Gen 4 rather than the PS2 era. I'm seeing bits of each of the AC games I've loved. Movement from the 4th gen that got me in, but aesthetic and even some weapons from.Gen 5. I'm so excited.

Don't blame ye,the franchise was huge and way BEFORE Demon Souls popularity and it is after Demon Souls,FS took that train while leaving this franchise on stasis for nearly a decade. So to see it getting a direct sequel out of nowhere is certainly a surprise
They made quite a lot of mistakes with the last Batch of installments and wasn't profiting to keep the franchise going it's going to be interesting if they learnt from it or not.
So far I'm getting ACV movement, AC4A design and Soulsbourne enemy/boss variety AND level design(I missed AC4A arms forts fights). Looks like we back Ravens!
The designs in the trailer don't really look memorable, but I'm hoping the game has some great looking parts to choose from and of course each corporation having it's own unique style.
If from software after all the goodwill and quality games they have produced cant make mech games popular , no one can. That being said Im happy as long as it does well enough to make regular armored core games a thing! So hyped

Zone of enders was amazing. It was more high speed then armor core at the time. But you look a lil faster in this one.
This gameplay is gnarly, loving the mecha designs too.

It's a hybrid of Gen3-4 game mechanics, especially the mech design is heavily Gen 1-3 and some Gen 4. Multiplayer could be Gen 5.

Capcom is the only company I'd say is on par with them in terms of horror and dark fantasy art. Their visual design is unmatched.

Its nothing to do with success of Elden Ring they had been roughly start at same time to developing.

Mechs are back on the menu boys GODDAMN those enemy mechs look insane I'm assuming some of those will be bosses obviously but like those attacks look incredible... And of course the moves the player uses seem to be insanely varied which confirms a large arsenal which of course the enemies will have to be designed to keep up with...
Just from analysing basic details from this trailer we can tell this will be an absolute banger of a mech game

Easily my most anticipated game this year, im mainly a fighting game player so sf6 and gran blue vs rising has me hyped but this is 100% the game I’m gonna be playing like crazy on the side

I'm so hyped. I'm a "new" fan, as new as it gets for a 10 year dormant series, having started in Gen 4 rather than the PS2 era. I'm seeing bits of each of the AC games I've loved. Movement from the 4th gen that got me in, but aesthetic and even some weapons from.Gen 5. I'm so excited.

Totally recommend playing 1, 3, or 4 answer before this comes out to get a taste of the series. All of the above are pretty easy to emulate.

@@RAEN74 Previous series offered both Story Mode, Arena (it's like you fight series of AI to climb up the ladder), and then online multiplayer PvP. Let's see if FromSoftware will offer a new format.

It was always the best thing to do,multitask while readying yer mounted cannin on shoulder to shoot while hovering around till you hit the ground,and look like the melee has been looking crispy in this trailer,looking forward to test alot of new thing in the new game

Don't blame ye,the franchise was huge and way BEFORE Demon Souls popularity and it is after Demon Souls,FS took that train while leaving this franchise on stasis for nearly a decade.
So to see it getting a direct sequel out of nowhere is certainly a surprise
They made quite a lot of mistakes with the last Batch of installments and wasn't profiting to keep the franchise going it's going to be interesting if they learnt from it or not.
Definitely start with the PlayStation classics!

The designs in the trailer don't really look memorable, but I'm hoping the game has some great looking parts to choose from and of course each corporation having it's own unique style.
