A word of advice: While I realize that you have to edit this film for RUclips, it would be better if you didn’t cut up almost every line of dialogue. The film looks really incoherent the way you presented it here.

The chapter where they knock out the troll ends with this quote. “But from that moment on, Hermoine Granger became their friend. There are some things you can’t share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them.” I've re-read the series a few times over the years, and that line gets me emotional every time, especially knowing the road the three end up taking over the course of the series.
Hermione didn't actually learn from her parents. Her parents are muggles. She was so excited to learn magic, she tried to memorise as much of her textbooks as possible.

Fluffy, the three-headed dog, is Cerberus in Greek mythology. Cerberus is the guardian of the gates of Hades.
Trivia: The chess game scene was filmed several months after they filmed the entrance to the room. in the meantime, Rupert Grint (Ron) had a growth spurt, so the director had him ride the knight chess piece so that the height difference wouldn't be apparent.
Really? I didn’t realize that and wondered why they had him do that. Thanks for the info.
Professor Snape was portrayed by the Late Great Alan Rickman... there's a bit of cult following and the Snape role is a favorite among the devotees..👍💚😁...
So many wonderful actors in the cast... one-day you may begin to recognize them if you continue to react to movies...

The sorting hat was having a difficult time deciding which House Harry should be sorted into. At first it was thinking Slytherin but Harry kept saying Anything but Slytherin. So the hat put him in Gryffindor. The ball that was thrown was called a RememberAll. It was sent to the boy by his grandmother because he kept forgetting things. When the Slytherin kid thru the ball and Harry went after it, Professor McDonagal saw him outside her window and since she was a sponsor of Gryffindor nominated him to be the Seeker for the house team.

The movie followed the first book pretty closely due to the fact they were setting the scene and introducing all the characters. It was an in-depth movie that some of the later movies don’t have. You might notice that each book covers a year in Harry’s life and the books get longer as he ages and faces different obstacles and overcomes them with help from his friends. Unfortunately, you can’t put everything from the books into the movies. That’s why Harry’s last year had to be split into 2 movies.

It is beautiful scenery. The movie was filmed all over the UK. The train scenes were from Scotland. (I got to ride the train.) The scenes outside of Hogwarts were filmed at Alnwick Castle in the north of England. (I have been there too.)
Some of the Scenes of inside Hogwarts Castle were shot in Durham Cathedral, North East England

Dang ngl you missed out not watching these when they were coming out lmao but glad to see another person discovering it and reacting. This is possible the best book series on earth (imo) and some of the best films even with the large amount of information that gets left out. I’m sure the comments will answer any questions you have but be careful for spoilers!

So not a spoiler for the movies as it’s never directly mentioned. But book spoiler, I guess, for those who don’t want it. Hagrid is half giant, hence his size. his mom was a giant and his dad was human.
Also in the book Quirrel and Snape both have rooms protecting the stone (that’s actually why Hagrid says Snape is protecting the stone). Quirrel had a room with a troll but the trio find the troll already taken out. Snape has a room with a table of potions and a logic puzzle which Hermione solves. Also the chess board was McGonagall (transfiguration), the keys were Flitwick with charms,the devils snare was professor sprout the herbology teacher.

What a wonderful reaction! Your reaction nearly matched some of our reactions as we read the books and watched the movies, especially about Professor Snape. This movie successfully had you fooled into believing Snape was the bad guy. We thought the same thing as you until that plot twist at the end. We all know now that it was Snape who was trying to save Harry Potter at the quidditch game all along. Some of Ron's cooler lines from the book were given to Hermione in the movies, one of the things I wish they would not have done. More plot twists along the way!

Little behind the scenes facts: They never showed the children playing the first years what the Great Hall set looked like, so their reactions as they walk in are genuine. And the 'rock' that hit Ron in the face when he fell during the chess match wasn't meant to happen but because he didn't react to it they were able to keep it in the film.

Gonna give some info that didn't give in movie.
Professor McGonagall is head of Gryffindor. That's why she didn't punish Harry for flying. She cares abt her house team more. Same like how Snape favors Malfoy and Slytherin as he is the head of Slytherin.
Troll was supposed to be part of test in dungeon, bfr he got escaped. Also there is actually another test. Every professors actually made one and Snape's test didn't make it to movie. After the chess room, they will enconter potion riddle room, only one potion will get them to mirror room. Well Hermoine got the trick and gave it to Harry.
Golden snitch's worth 150 points. Also catch it means game is over. So eventho you catch it and the score like 170 (opponent) vs 10 (your team), then your team lose.

That`s actually not correct.
It was Professor Hooch who forbade the students to leave the ground and/or fly, not Prof. McGonagall.
Prof. McGonagall had no idea that Harry wasn`t allowed to be in the air.
So, why would she have thought of punishing him?
Gryffindor had no Seaker, which was a huge problem for Oliver Wood`s team.
Had any other student from her House performed a bold stunt as Harry, she would have acted in the same way.
McGonagall may seem sweet and understanding, but she is also competitive.
When she saw a solution for her Quidditch team`s problem, she didn`t hesitate to act upon it.
That`s also why she gave Harry the Nimbus 2000. It wasn`t because she favoured Harry, but because she wanted him to have the best chance to beat Slytherin.
I luv your attitude. When it first came out I got a VHS tape and watched it with my grandson. He watched it with the same enjoyment that you are showing. You go Man! ;-)

Don't know if anyone said it but Hagrid was trying to turn Dudley into a pig but because he already was the only thing missing was the tail which is why he said you could threaten him with a nice pair of ears to go with it. if you havent i recommend reading the first book or listen to the audiobook depending on your preference to see what they changed for the movie or didnt keep, there was soo much more i wish they had put into the movies because as the movies get better the books get like ten times better. either way looking forward to your next HP video and seeing your reactions to how everything plays out.

the movies did Ron dirty, in the books he was a goofy kid but he was actually pretty smart and had common sense. Hermione had a lot of book smarts but having grown up a muggle was ignorant anout a lot of small things concerning the magical world, things that would not have been in school books. The friendship between them in the books was awesome!
the Sorting hat takes your choice into account.
Which is why I wold be Slytherin, always!
there are kids like Hermione, who have non magical ancestors, there are "Half Bloods" (Harry is counted as one, Mc Gonagall, Dumbledore and some others) and then there are so called "pure bloods" who have both magical parents (Malfoy).
So you would think those kids have it easierr, though the books make it clear the more powerful witches and wizards are usually Half Bloods (since to be pure there are only like 28 families to choose from - for centuries - so as one can imagine a lot of "inbreding" and this things are never good)
Snape (the dark potions master) is my favorite character (not favorite teacher - just character)

Professor Snape is actually Head of Syltherin house'
Professor McGonagall is Head of Gryffindor
Professor Flitwick (the charms master) is Head of Ravenclaw
and Professor Sprout (we'll met he rnext movie) is Head of Hufflepuff.
Each house has special "values"
Gryffindor values bravery
Ravenclaw values wisdom
Hufflepuff values hard work and loyalty
and Slytherin values cunning and ambition
(kids a re sorted with 11 - so that means... their most noticable trait at that age - no resorting later on)
But there is a sorting quiz, if you want to know where you'd fit.
I sort of have an idea which house you might be sorted into.

BTW, I was sorted into Gryffindor and my brother was sorted into Slytherin in the Pottermore (now called Wizarding World) official website. The website was created by the Sony company and the author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling. I had to take a fun and special personality test to find out what house I am in.

Fun fact, I grew up reading the books and as a little girl in India, had obviously never seen the name Hermione before. I used to pronounce it in my head as Her-Meow-Nee. 😂 Then I watched the movies and was like ooooh! 😅

I don't know if anyone ever told you or if it's maybe only bothering me, but you have pretty harsh cuts. Right when someone says something, you cut immediately to your reaction. I don't like it. It leaves me stressed and unsatisfied. I usually watch reaction videos to relax and I can't.

Please don’t let Dumbledore age fool you yes he is old but he is the most powerful wizard of this time and one of the most powerful wizards period they show his Power more in the book but voldemort was very much scared of dumbledore he would never admit it but on a one on one not many could even think to beat dumbledore to be honest I don’t think anyone was as powerful as dumbledore period
