Okuu's theme. ...It's probably the most straightforward, hype-inducing, overwhelmingly high-energy classic boss theme in the series, and deserves lyrics just as strong.
This is one big power-trip song. She unwaveringly believes in the authority of something like a "god"... but once she gets a taste of that insane raw power, she thinks she's hot stuff and basically a god herself. Appropriately, the metaphor of "flying too close to the sun" comes to mind.

Can we talk about how Okuu is basically the swaggiest villain in Touhou history? Her backstory is literally like "Hey, thanks for giving me the power of the Gods - What, you want me to use it to HELP people? No thanks, I'm just gonna take over the world instead, see ya, sucker!"
She just wanted to blow things up because she thought it would be cool. Then she got beaten up and doesn't even feel ill will toward Reimu and Marisa because the fight was cool and awesome.
I love Utsuho she's so extra.
It's also not clear if she understood that burning everything would kill everyone. She and the other underworlders are doing just fine in that sizzling hellscape, after all!

If I were to give my serious interpretation of the character and her motives, I'd think it probably has to do with Okuu thinking the people and Youkai on the surface don't *deserve* her help. "Why would she help the ones whose only treatment of her and the people she loves (especially Satori) was with prejudice and hatred? Their actions don't deserve reward, they deserve punishment!"
Actually it's cause she's dumb af and thought that blowing up the world was what kanako and other underworlders wanted

Love how she went from "word of god" and "world is ours" to "even gods cower" and "world is mine". Either the power was getting to her head, or the heat was frying her (bird)brain, Okuu was really getting more and more cocky as the song progresses.

YOU DID VERY GOOD!! That's pretty much all the game references. The spoken part at 1:20 was more specifically taken from her dialogue in Hisoutensoku, but the intention was exactly that: *you* are the foreign contaminant.
The only way I'd be happier is if you mentioned the Gurren Lagann reference in "Go beyond the impossible!" being shouted alongside the mention of breaking through the underground.
Sorta felt like the side shout of Go beyond the impossible sounded strange with the music. But other than that the song is great.

To be fair, if it wasn't for the spell card rules, Okuu's boasting would have very well come true, considering the huge difference in power between a Lunarian God (What Yatagarasu is) and all of Gensokyo.
Still, nice work there.

This song is Utsuho in a nutshell. She dreams of reigning the world by power. It is her deep desire: to reign the Earth. I don't see her as an idiot (well, I guess I agree to terms that she is baka-chan 2.0 because she wants to rule the world, a desire NOT in the Touhou Final Boss module), because she is as HOT and POWERFUL as the Sun and the stars.
The "Rule the World" plan happened because she's an idiot.
Kanako intended something different.
A reminder that actual fuckin gods decided it was a good idea to give NUCLEAR FUSION, AND AN ARM CANNON THAT FIRED NUKE BEAMS, to an actual IDIOT. So, uh, great...

Ohhhhhhh baby.......... This is a theme I'm REALLY picky about when it comes to remixes and vocals, I always need them to be perfectly synced with the original. There were some parts in this that I didn't QUITE like, but it's still amazing, especially the power from the chorus. Both Okuu and her theme are one of my favorites from the entire series, and you DEFINITELY delivered the shit outta it to me. You're awesome.

Do you know what those lines remind me of? The Soviet Union! Its emergence as a “modern power” put a heavy reliance on nuclear energy, and it was also heavily opposed to religion as an atheist state too. So nice allusions here.

Well, as someone who is not good at communication, sometimes I want to do that too.
bit of a necropost here, but also quite a few of the lyrics are both describing Utsuho's actions/desires...and also failure modes that resulted in nuclear disasters. Radiation exposure or overheating (Slotin's demon core accident or Chernobyl #4 elephant's foot; too hot/burn brighter); coolant loss (Fukushima Daiichi; too high/fly higher), control rod combustion (Windscale 5; set it on fire), SCRAM (many; bring it down to the wire), pressure containment failure (Chernobyl #4; set it free...)

Considering that Utsuho is my favorite character my expectations for this were pretty damn high I gotta say, nuclear physics just ionise me (get it ? )
However this IS exactly what I feel when I listen to solar sect of mystic wisdon, it fits just perfectly, the excitement thats building up during the song are just overwhelming, and I could enjoy the rhyme pattern just as well, I wouldn't mind listening to this all day it fits just as it is supposed to be

What I wanted to say is that Okuu wouldn't have much of a problem to do what she wanted if it wasn't for the spellcard rules
if I calculated it right you would make more energy with 25 grams of helium an hour than a coal-fired power station in multiple DAYS
Looks like we both like Utsuho to much (She used to be my favorite until recently) so yeah. If the spell card rules were not there, I would love to see what she is capable of.

That is quite shocking to hear, but not as surprising as most would think. Lord Yatagurasu truly is powerful.
MECHDRAGON777 Strong but Yatagarasu himself won't make it beyond Carbon in the case of fusion, the fact that Okuu's ability herself of controlling nuclear fusion isn't determined this could mean she would go till iron and unleash even more energy through a supernova (which can eradicate life in the radius of a few hundred lightyears ) if she had in fact enough mass to fuse

It's a bad omen
I love the character, but not the song that much. I like the base song, but the lyrics do not make sense in English to me. (mainly the voice since I want to think of the voice is a paired to the bird Brained Nuclear Reactor) I love the character, and base song, but it is hard to link the voice to her. (Utsuho used to be my favorite character until recently). I hope this Omen is that she will be in Touhou 15.5.

Another song, another amazing job well done! Utsuho is my favorite touhou character And I was pleasantly surprised to find this on my notifications. I had a lot of high expectations, and honestly, I can't say I'm disappointing. To be honest, to me it feels like it's missing something, but what, I have no idea. Regardless, it's a wonderful piece and certainly deserves to be up there with the best of your songs. It's also nice seeing another upload so soon after your previous one as well. Keep up the good work!

I found this chanel by complete accident. I had only been listeing to a little bit of touhou music and this got recommended to me. I listened and thought some of the songs were songs whilest others bad like this one for example but this is when i knew nothing about these chacters and now that i know so much about touhou i have learned to love these songs because they tie in so well with the characters that they were based upon.
And I thought Okuu couldn't get any more fucking amazing, you roll up, drop this masterpiece on my ears, and single handedly destroy my mind. Seriously, keep being awesome. xP

the lyrics being a power trip to me feels perfect, because i feel the whole song is basically making fun of okuu for being on a power trip.
its overly grand and upbeat, while okuu is definitely not grand in any sense but certainly upbeat, and basically makes fun of her for being so stupidly forward about with her birbrainess.
it also reminded me of ZUN’s comment on the theme, saying how even if a person has the power of dreams, if they cant comprehend how to use it then theyre completely harmless and that she just got this power and was originally just a birb.

I'd been working on this for quite a while already, and the way I usually decide what to work on next is just back and forth between whatever random WIP I feel most capable of or confident in at the time-- but maybe that video was somewhat of a subconscious influence for me to focus on this one in particular. I am definitely a fan of MinusT's work and I loved it.

Good job keeping up the rhyming all the way through!
Maybe one thing I would have adjusted is the announcement at the start, just to make it a little more cackling - something like "in the event of a nuclear emergency... YOU CAN KISS YOUR LIFE GOODBYE!" or along those lines. That's only a subjective niggle though and the lyrics themselves are all characterful, so good job.
