We used to love staying there but after a few trips the novelty of the accommodation does wear off, especially in winter. We love how meals are included and enjoy the fast passes and having Rookburg to yourself at night. The actual room and beds became a bit annoying though. It’s great value though and pretty fun.
@ We’ve stayed there 3 or 4 times, each stay was I think 3 nights and the last trip put us off, it was winter and the room was cold and always seemed wet and to be very honest, pretty depressing. The food also wears off very quickly, it’s been the same menu since it opened. Our first trip was so exciting, we loved it then. We will go back to staying at the Chinese themed hotel if we go back. Do you think you’ll try the or other hotels.
@@DisneyMarkUK I've stayed in the Ling Bao before I started the channel and enjoyed that one. Not been in Matamba yet. To be honest I wasn't planning to stay in Charles Lindbergh but for the dates I was going it was the only option 😁
Im a light sleeper. When we got to the room I could hear a wind noise which would drive me mad. Went to reception. Found out it was a sound effect on the tv 😂 even the internal flights of stairs have sound effects. Place is amazing
We loved our stay at Charles Lindbergh. Wonderfully themed hotel and rookburgh is stunning to walk around at night when there's no one there. The food we found wasn't amazing,we stayed in matamba where we thought the food was much better. 👍
A great video as always mate 😁👍. This is the video I’ve been waiting for as you know 😂😉😊. It does look good value for money, I know it’s expensive but it seems like the perks you get are worth it. A very informative video mate and It’s made me really want to go ahead with it 😂👍😊😁. The view looks amazing, I hope you had a great time bud. Is fly really as good as it looks and imagine a night ride on that ? 😁😍
@ I like Galactica aswell so I reckon I’d love Fly then 😊😁. So you wouldn’t do it again (the hotel) but you think it’s worth at least once doing it mate ? 😊👍and I agree, Taron looks the best for me. That’s the ride that appeals to me the most, it looks amazing. I’m glad you had a good time mate 😁😊👍
@@benspeed2819 never say never, but future trips I'd choose a different hotel. To be fair I wasn't planning on doing Charles Lindbergh but when I booked it was the only hotel with the dates I wanted. So I'm glad I've done.
@ That’s true mate 😊👍, I’m glad you enjoyed and it was worth the stay mate. As you say, at least it’s one off your bucket list now and next time if you stay somewhere else you know you’ve stayed at the Lindbergh and don’t feel like your missing out or regret not staying there 😁😊👍
Excellent video - found it really useful, as I've long been curious about what it'd actually be like to stay there. On a previous trip we stayed at the Hotel Matamba on site which was extremely good (and at that point they were doing some special offer where hotel and park entry was something daft like 99 euros a night). For a future trip I'd definitely consider the Charles Lindbergh.
Great video as always, Chris 👌🏻👌🏻 We stayed off-site as we wanted to "do" Cologne as well (drink Kölsch & visit the chocolate museum 😅🤷🏻) & I was wondering about the Charles Lindberg. It looks like something you should do as an enthusiast really. Will add it to the list ✔️
Hi Chris really enjoyed this latest offering from you. That hotel experience looks amazing, okay as you say not the cheapest but as a one off and the amount of things included I think its definitely worth the money. Plus I dont think you can fault customer service with the way they addressed your heating issue. These videos are what makes your channel stand out above the others for me, keep doing what you're doing its brilliant 😊
Honestly I think the price can be absolutly fair. But it can fluctuate quit a bit depending on day and holidays. For around 270€ (at single occupancy) it's great. Tickest are at least 29€ if bought months in advance up to 69€ regular. So up to almost 50% of the paid money could be just for the tickets... Breakfast tends to priced around 15€ in normal hotels. Evening meal would be around 30-40€ Parking is free, you don't have to pay the 7€ per day Fastpass, would be around 5€+ if you look on ebay for example. So the "room" is only slightly upcharged compared to normal hotels surrounding it. compared to the price asked of the other onside hotels it's a lot more value... (day in august for example: 294€ Lindberg vs 213€ LingBao vs 194€ Matamba)
Great and informative video. 👍 I love the Charles Lindbergh, and I think it is value for money with everything you get. The fast passes for F.L.Y. were a godsend last December, as the ride was down for most of the day, and when it opened about two hours before park closing, the lines were never lower than 70 minutes. And btw. if you don't need the passes during your stay, you can use them on your next visit! The restaurant Uhrwerk (clockwork in english 😉) is ok. Food was always good, but I hate those chairs; they're really impractical and very uncomfortable. And those mugs for scrambled eggs are a joke, as well as those wooden plates. Fits the themeing, but also very impractical. I don't think you mentioned the fact that as a guest, you can stroll through Rookburgh until around midnight. Very nice for taking photos without any guests shuffling around. ☺
Really enjoyed this video, Chris. Think you've found a new niche, reviewing hotel/ foods. Price wise not that bad, all meals included, theme park included etc. But the room itself was tiny, wasn't good at all.
I wasn't expecting the rooms to be so small. Overall, it's probably one of those hotels that you maybe do once to experience it and then never do it again. Having now seen your review, I personally wouldn't stay there unless it was a freebie but it does look good.
So you mentioned the size of the park is about the same size as Pleasure Beach ,so if Pleasure Beach was totally themed it would completely invigorate the park wouldn't that be Cheaper to make happen than several new Coasters and may bring in more people into the park ?,what do you say?
It’s a good question. I think retrofitting an amusement park into a theme park is a tricky thing to do. Probably cheaper as you say. But a lot of work. And realistically there no need when the rest of UK parks are all poor from a theming point of view. That could all change with Universal because that will be the first properly themed experience in the UK!
I'm sure Pleasure Beach have got time to retrofit as they have been there for sometime. But I think it would change the feel and also bring in ever more people who maybe wouldn't of come before and making them a place to revisit for the intrigue🎢🤪
We stayed here as a family of three on 2/3 January. Our 13 year old daughter is obsessed with FLY so this was a birthday treat. She was super happy to have her own cabin too. I also hate those chairs in the restaurant. I thought the food was okay. We waited absolutely ages for our main to arrive and were served by the most god awful rude hag of a waitress. Ruined our experience a little tbh. Anyhoo, great wee vlog!
lets say €350,- for 3 days entry of the park including parking 2 extra meals, and 2 nights with breakfast. Damm thats cheap. Not sure what the wintertraum prices are these days but lets say say its a round €50,- including the parking then thats only €100,- a night including dinner. You really have to look for better prices.
It’s a funny one. When I looked at it, this was the only hotel with space the days I was going and it’s definitely more expensive than the others. But I really wanted to try it. And I’m glad I did. Not something I would do regularly, but certainly something to experience at least once 😀
@@coaster_dad Last time i looked at it it was pretty expensive. I ussualy stay in the monastary hotel a few miles away from the park. That one isn't really the cheapest either but sinse i'm travelling alone its got a much better price then the themepark hotels.
I've picked up this deal in the past and I really enjoyed my stay at the Charles Lindburgh. It's so well themed and integrated into Rookburgh so well. I really feels like a VIP experience. Bar was really good and small though it was I thought the room was really cute (I do love my steampunk). Only thing I would say is I thought the food was fine but I've stayed at the other two hotels and their food, especially at the Matamba, is definitely better. I think I was more disappointed than I should have been that I didn't get to eat chips out of a shovel 😢
Great informative video. Im woundering if this is the kinda thing amanda wants in Blackpool with the runored location 3rd hotel not being with the other two
Alton is £200 a night B&B excluding park entry, no evening meal and no fast tracks. The location, and what's included is very good value. Alton is overpriced rubbish in comparison and would cost around £800 for a similar experience.
