The Sweet Bunkeys! 😍 So glad you could stop by! 😚 I'm a long time baker and have some brownie tricks up my sleeve! 😘 I think your brownie batter should have gone in a 9x13" baking pan. I use brownie batter and cookie dough together quite often. One great way of doing that is to press the cookie dough down in the baking pan first. Then pour the brownie batter on top and bake it. It barely takes 30 minutes. One combination I use is peanut butter cookie dough pressed on bottom then mix the brownie mix on top, only after you've added Butterfinger Bits to the brownie mix. Talk about dreamy! 😋 But if you want to make the recipe like you did with the cookie dough on top, then use the 9x13" pan for the brownie mix and put the cookie dough on top. You can even crumble the cookie dough for more even coverage, you don't have to slice it. But if you press the cookie dough on bottom, just spray the pan, you won't need foil. And if you're using a glass baking pan, spraying it will work fine, no foil is needed. When I mix up the brownies I usually add chocolate chips! ☺️ I've never had brownies stick when baking them in a glass pan. I almost started a mail order brownie business! I've sold my fair share of brownies to local people. I think I even have chocolate in my blood! 😉 Brownies, Blondies and Brookies have all come out of my oven! And I love them all! 🤤 Your chicken dishes looked so wonderful! 🤗 And the Hello Fresh meal looked devine! 🤩 You guys always make me hungry! And happy too! But first hungry!😋 If you have any brownie questions please let me know! The people at work used to call mine Crack Brownies! ☺️ But I will be glad to share any of my secrets! Have you gotten any candy corn yet? I even have a recipe for homemade Butterfingers using candy corn! 😚 Thanks for sharing another great video! Love you guys! 🥰
@@Homeschoolintheplains I don't have a specific place where I share them but if you let me know which ones I'll be glad to share here. For the record, I generally use Duncan Hines brownie mix but I change the amount of oil, water and egg that I add to the mix. I also add other things like chocolate chip or butterfinger bits, depending on which version I'm making. The peanut butter cookie crusted brownie is my most popular. Just reply here and I'll try to answer your questions.
I precook chicken, ground beef, ground turkey all the time. That way, I'm already half way there when I make dinners. It saves time on dinner preps and I'm more likely to cook mid-week when half the work is already done.
I do the same thing. My ground beef goes in frozen in block form & when it's done, I remove it with a spatula still in one big piece. I then dump out all the grease from the crock pot & don't have a mess or oily burger. I chop it up with the same tool Jess used.
The brownies look so yummy. I think I'd use parchment paper not foil to line the baking dish if it needs something to make it easier to get them out. Love watching to you two.
Another trick when cutting brownies use a plastic knife. The brownies slice clean with minimal crumbs. Thank you for these great recipes. We will be trying all of them.
I just love your videos. For some reason it makes me happy to see you guys no matter if it is cooking shopping decorating or camping. It is just fun to watch! Deborah from Canada.
We watch TV while eating lunch and supper....it is just my husband and me. If our kids happen to show up for a meal (which is rare) we sit at the table like we did when they were home! All these recipes look amazing! Have a great week!
Mr Bunkey has got jokes today! I always cook my chicken in the crockpot and use it throughout the week. We use it for tacos, bbq sliders, soups, salads, casseroles, pasta dishes & pasta salads. Come on Bunkeys get with the program! It's so easy & so good! Love how excited you two get when it comes to food! Y'all are hilarious!
On the Brookie- I personally would cut the cookie dough thinner and in smaller pieces like in fourths and push them further in the batter, but they look amazing. P.S. Not saying my way would work any better but that's what I would try, lol
When I made the Brookies I did not have the problem of the center not cooking. I used parchment paper instead of foil and I put them in the fridge before cutting them. I baked them covered with the foil, uncovered them & baked another 15 minutes. Took them out of the pan with the parchment paper and refrigerated them for 4 hours before cutting them. They were awesome❣️
Just love your videos I found your channel and I have been bingeing, you all are so cute together. Great recipes, I love how much you both enjoy cooking and eating together.
Yes, I cook chicken in the crockpot, shred it and freeze in gallon freezer bags for use later in soups, etc. I buy the larger family packs of chicken breasts because they are usually cheaper per pound, and with a larger crockpot they all fit. Works great and such a time saver!
My suggestion for the brookies is to use a metal pan instead of glass...it should make a difference because food cooks much more evenly in metal pans. They looked delicious!
Those brownies remind me of Betty Crocker brownie/cookie bar mix. Same idea except you mix the cookie dough separate and drop on top of the brownie batter. They are delicious warm with vanilla ice cream! They are done much quicker too:)
Oh my gosh .. all these recipes look so good ! I love the way you both enjoy your food so much !! You both are the sweetest , funniest couple.. always makes me smile when watching you !! Bless you both ! ❤️
I bet the buffalo chicken would be great as a grilled cheese type of sandwich.! I always used leftover buffalo chicken dip as the filling for grilled cheese and its AMAZING!
I make chicken in crockpot and pack ziplock with 2 large chicken breasts shredded with a date on it. I keep 3 bags in freezer and when 1 is left I make more. So much easier.

My recipe calls for putting cookie dough on bottom and then pour brownie batter on top. You can also use a muffin tin for 12 and do the same thing except for do cookie dough then Reeses cup and then pour brownie batter on top
I do precook meat too. It’s fast in the instant pot. I’ll do chicken that way but we prefer to cook ground beef on the stove. Roasts are great in the slow cooker. So versatile and saves time!

I grew up eating standing up around the kitchen haha. My family are firefighters and EMTs and we always joked that was the reason why we did it. I still sometimes eat standing in the kitchen while my husband eats sitting at the counter bar stools at breakfast and lunch but we always sit together to eat dinner. 😋
Brookies- I've made them for years. You need to put in 16 x 12 sheet pan. I crumble cookie dough on top. Takes no more than 20 minutes. no foil needed. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
Use parchment paper , to revome easier , but maybe put foil ontop like it said .maybe pre heat oven hotter then set it foe the baking ingredients temp it calls for .
For the brookies, buy a Ghihardeli boxed brownie mix & a Betty crocker cookie mix. Put it all in a 9x13, i did spray with Pam, but bake it on the temp the brownie mix says. One of their brownie mixes has the recipe on the back of the box. REALLY GOOD!!
For the brownies, I would use parchment paper instead or nothing at all, just some baking spray and call it good. The foil actually keeps heat IN, so that was not a good thing to use. I don't know why someone would think that was a good idea. I am going to try the soup!!!!! Looks delicious!!! Thanks, you guys are funny!!!
For the Brookies, I'd try them in a 9x13 pan. Just add more cookie dough to the top 🙂 I saw Tamra at Southern Wife Everyday Life make these (with peanut butter cookies, yum!) and she used a 9x13 pan and they turned out great! Love you guys!
All of those recipes looked soooo good. Being from Texas we love King Ranch Chicken casserole . I hVe never seen the soup. Yes, yes, yes, for that soup. Will be making this soon. Y'all make me laugh all the time. Blessings from the Tiny House in Texas.
King Ranch casserole is a Texas recipe! Im a born and raised Texan who group up eating the casserole, it’s one of my faves! I’ll have to try this soup version it looks great!
Hey guys!! You're firing on all burners today!! Everyg looked scrumptious today!! I love the King Ranch Caserole, but never tried the soup . Going on the menu now! I am like Bunky and always wondering "what if?" On a recipe. What if, instead of using the Velveeta cheese, you substitute with Velveeta queso Blanco cheese? To sort of up the Mexican cheese dip taste?? Just a thought!!! Have fun and thanks for bringing us love and joy!
If you stick with the same pan you could probably bake the brownies about half way before adding the cookie to the top and then bake completely through.
Everything looked great, even the Brookies, cause I love for my brownies to be fudgey not cakey ….I’ve done my chicken In Crockpot like you did for recipes, but found it much easier to cook about 6 to 8 chicken breast in my Ninja Foodi (aka..instant pot) pressure cook for 9 minutes if fresh, 12 minutes if they are frozen, quick release….I always seasoned them, too…then I put them in kitchen aid mixer and shred them all with paddle attachment….I measure out 4 cups to each freezer bag…viola…chicken for casseroles or chicken salad, etc..
It all looks so good! Being from Texas I have to tell you the casserole recipe has been around since the 70’s, and was made at “The King Ranch” down in the hill country which is I believe the largest cattle farm in Texas, or it was at one time. That is the Ranch in the title, not the ranch we all love to eat, lol. The actual “King Ranch” has a package they put in Ford trucks that is really cool and you will see some food trucks that are all beefed up and above the F150 or F250 you will see “King Ranch” on it…it’s a really cool place with a cool legacy…I don’t believe it’s family owned anymore but it’s still there and running. Just a little trivia for y’all since y’all share so much trivia with us! We love y’all and keep these yummy ideas and recipes coming!🥰
Jessica love all your recipe ideas. I will be trying that soup when it starts to get colder here. I always cook my chicken that way and shredded it and freeze it. It works great and seems more juicer and better that the can chicken! Love your channel!
I’m late to watch, but just because, I cook my chicken in the instant pot and freeze it ahead of time or use part of it and freeze the rest…..the brookies (sp?) look delish!
Bunkie reminds me of my significant other. I love corny men. Never a dull moment.

You should try out the instant pot for your shredded chicken. It only takes 30 mins total. Cook 10 mins, steam release 20 mins.

The King Ranch is the largest ranch in the United States. It’s located in Kingsville TX and King Ranch chicken is attributed to the King Ranch.
I do a bag of frozen chicken in oven then shred and do 2 cup measurements and freeze for recipes.
For the brownies, I would use parchment paper instead or nothing at all, just some baking spray and call it good. The foil actually keeps heat IN, so that was not a good thing to use. We cook our chicken in the instapot. It takes 6 mins and it’s super juicy. It’s quicker than the slow cooker
On the brownies I probably would’ve halfway cooked them and then added the cookie dough to it! Just my suggestion.
King Ranch casserole is a Texas recipe! Im a born and raised Texan who group up eating the casserole, it’s one of my faves! I’ll have to try this soup version it looks great!
Fresh jalapeño and cilantro on the king ranch soup! I think some tortilla strips would be nice because it would give it a crunch!
It’s the foil on the bottom, yes. If you just spray your 8x8 with Pam, it would be fine.
I love meal prepping chicken in the instant pot as well and it doesn’t take as long as the crockpot.
Thank you for another great video! Brookline’s sound great!!!!! Thank you for your laughter and excitement!
Agree with the other comments on using a 9x13 pan...they look amazing!
I would try it with the cookie dough on the bottom with the brownie batter on top
I’ve always baked the brownies first for about 30 minutes uncovered remove and top with the cookies and bake untildone
That's smart! I need to try that!
Me and Alex do the same thing, stand in the kitchen and eat and try stuff when we’re cooking together lol
If you stick with the same pan you could probably bake the brownies about half way before adding the cookie to the top and then bake completely through.
Yum YUM again !
I have always cooked them in cupcake pan .. you hafta try that .. beyond amazing
I pre cook the brownie batter for about 10 minutes and then add the cookie dough!
I always cook chicken to shred in the crockpot! Easiest way for sure!
What amazing recipes!! Can’t wait to try all of them! Also, I LOVE B’s jokes!
Jessica love all your recipe ideas. I will be trying that soup when it starts to get colder here. I always cook my chicken that way and shredded it and freeze it. It works great and seems more juicer and better that the can chicken! Love your channel!
Agreed! So much better and like you said you can cook extra and freeze it!
I definitely agree about marzetti dressings ❤
Love your nail color, girl! I can't wait to try these recipes 😊 so happy when I see you've posted a new video.... and ya'll crack me up!
Not sure if purpose of torn tortillas is to thicken this soup but I know they are used for thickening. I love watching you
I’m late to watch, but just because, I cook my chicken in the instant pot and freeze it ahead of time or use part of it and freeze the rest…..the brookies (sp?) look delish!
