Fun facts:
-Cheetah's are extremely timid and are filled with anxiety so they sometimes have service dogs as emotional support
-Due to the fact they can purr both ways, they are technically a lesser cat
-They chirp...like a bird. It's hecking adorable
-While they are the fastest land animal (reaching iirc 88mph) they can only do it in bursts and not often in between each burst

Another fun fact is that there are Asiatic Cheetahs. These cheetahs now have a population of around 50. Their range used to extend into India and parts of southern China. They have since been hunted to extinction in most of their range and are now confined to a small area of Iran. Also, Cheetahs have a top speed of 61 mph, not 88 mph.

Can't help but notice their very cat-like demeanor, more so than the lions or tigers.
That's likely because they're more closely related to cats than lions or tigers are. Cheetahs and cats share a subfamily rather than just a family.
That's because cheetahs are "lesser cats" and not big cats.

RhettyforFun their claws are somewhat comparable to dog's claws. In terms of toughness and not retracting that is. The reason they can go so fast isn't all because of the muscles, they literally stick their claws into the ground to get more out of each step while running. Amazing beasts

It’s a little known fact that cheetahs are actually quite docile towards humans, and they’re very friendly cats to familiar faces. There’s a RUclips video of someone sleeping with a pack of cheetahs all night
Edit: the same person also turned his back to a cheetah (something you definitely shouldn’t do to most big cats) and the cheetah acted like he didn’t even notice he turned his back
Edit 2: it’s always a good idea to admire anything potentially dangerous from a distance, cheetahs too. But wild cheetahs typically leave humans alone
