1st Video About Ambush Cheetahs': • Can You Turn Your Back...
    PayPal: www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...
Please like this video if you like it ;)
I compare ambush styles of leopards versus cheetahs in my second installment of turning my back to big cats. I wanted to show the comparison between leopards and cheetahs this time. There is a big difference and it is due to the nature of these two predators... based on tons of factors where their mindset and bodies were adapted to hunt a certain way to survive. Where they live is just as important due to provided cover or not.
This is a simple test but does show the nature of these different cats when it comes to approach of their prey. Both have the instinct of ambush, but leopards are masters of it while cheetahs depend mostly on their speed. A leopards hunts mostly from forested areas while cheetahs live and hunt in the open plains.
There are so many factors and reasons why. Size, strength, muscle mass, body types, prey, landscapes, mindsets of the two and so much more. A whole thesis could be written and we're just talking about leopards versus cheetah ambush styles.
The wild cheetahs at Cheetah Experience don't like anyone and won't come close to me to test ambushing. But the tamed ones just don't care about your back because that is not their normal way of predation. They don't need to ambush their prey because none of their prey can out run a cheetah.
Anyway... enjoy the video but don't go thinkin you can just walk into any cheetah enclosure and not get jumped on for any reason. I am cautious and have foreknowledge about the nature of these animals and individuals, like I mention in this video. So please don't.
    Thanks for watching!
P.S. Some seem to think I have an uncanny resemblance to Louis C.K. who is an American comedian, writer, actor, and filmmaker. He is known for his use of observational, self-deprecating, dark, and shock humor. Maybe on day I'll impersonate him and interact with these cheetahs, minus any dark humor of course. Not my style.

I couldn't help but notice how both Cassius and Gabriel approached when your back was turned, but both started acting cuddly and affectionate once they were noticed. Gabriel approached and walked up to your side and started licking, but Cassius seemed to be in full-on attack mode until he became more lovey, like there was a switch in his head that got turned on and off on a moment's notice. Are a leopard's hunting instincts really that overriding for them, or was Cassius just playing innocent once he realized he got caught?

When you're hungry, you'll hunt anything you can eat. Now what it really is interesting, is that those leopards *know* who that guy is, but as soon as he turned his back on them they had no qualms whatsoever about trying to kill and eat their "dad". Either that, or it's almost as if they completely forgot who he is when he turned around becoming deadly predators, to house kittens when they approached and saw his face.

True dat! But Cheetah’s actually are a lot more timid & skittish than most of the other large predators in their environment. Lions, hyenas & leopards are all much more aggressive than cheetahs. The African savannah has a LOT of large predators & cheetah’s sit several ranks down from the apex position. They’d rather flee than fight most of the time when confronted.

So it's nice when adult leopards get to keep playing and pounce on their friends.

I highly doubt any of the big cats there would want to hurt this man. These guys are taking well care of the animals, there is not a lot of things that could make them aggresive. Problem with the big animals is that sometimes they don't know how powerful they are. A playful paw strike could injure a human. My cat loves to ambush me and run away after a few little thumps at my ankle. It's not a problem because she is 10 pounds but I wouldn't want to play the same game with a leopard

Vitor Iturriaga he wouldn’t be in danger per se, they recognize him as family/friend. But never the less, a child or stranger might get frightened and that kind of fear can breed anxiety. Human skin is fragile and even though those leopards might play around, their claws still could scratch and tear.
