It's so important for people to remember that animals have their own unique personalities and that grudges are just as possible as friendships. Thank you for showing us the different sides of big cats!
Lol, oh yeah, cats could teach classes on holding grudges. I use to have a cat named Coconut. If you crossed him, he wouldn't scratch, or bite, or pee on your things, like a normal cat. No, Coconut would climb up on a high shelf, and wait until you walked underneath, then knock something heavy onto your head.
Hopefully it ended well, it would be so sad to loose Gabriel trust and friendship as it happpened with the tiger. Thanks to show us the reality and not Disney type relationship with wild animals. You are doing a fantastic job!
I've never had this happen with my female cheetah. however, once my female snow leopard had a wild mood and tried to intimidate me, but she quickly felt stupid and ran away to the kennel 😅😁.
Glad you visited again! Had one of your leopards ever gotten mad at you or someone? I've seen one get that way after giving birth and became protective and mad.
It's good to see that you guys made up. And it's a good lesson. Respect boundaries and don't make it about you by pushing it. If only humans learned that so they could apply with each other. But I guess they don't do it because there's no threat of getting your face chewed off if they push it. lol
it was nice seeing you giving him space & allowing him to come to you without you forcing yourself on him. when our cat starts to scratch us & gets moody we always know that he’s sick. maybe it’s the same with gabriel. but now, all good thankfully
I’ve been binge watching these videos the past few weeks. Really neat stuff with super cute big kitties. Never stop posting these videos! Thank you so much
So I have a theory that when an animal suddenly experiences pain like that tiger did, they imprint the pain to whatever they smelled last. Really seems like a hardwired thing. The forgiving part is where the emotions and personality come into play. Human Beings can be just a feral sometimes, but use more senses and internal senses to try and rationalize why an action happened. I think that is there is some animals, but maybe evolution has not yet reinforced it. I am glad things worked out, and message received on the complex emotions of animals.
Smelled... huh. I can tell you that my appearance changes over time, daily, different clothing, deodorant, facial beard, and even my voice. But Fusion definitely remembers my voice. I used to stand by his enclosure to test it. He did not get triggered or remember me until I spoke. Then instantly went into his stalking behavior... "Ohh you again..." I always talk to the animals in my care or meet. They learn you sound. But for SURE too, they verify by smelling my skin, body Oder and such. It is why many keepers wear the same clothing and keep the same appearance. Wash their clothes, of course. Have several same jeans, shirts and such. Not sure if you need to go that far, though.
Great video Dolph! You are right about animals holding grudges! And even crows being known to recognize faces, and even shit on cars of people they don't like🤣 but I was happy to see Gabriel come in for a hug at the end👍 he's a sigma male, a loner with alpha instincts that does things on his terms, and doesn't care about what other cheetahs or humans think💪
Wow.. animal grudges. We're all alike. And yup, that's Gabriel. A touch customer but adorable when he's affectionate. Play fights too, but does NOT need me for sure. But I love our friendship, also helps give him better care.
1:46 That’s a heart attack and a half, man!!! Glad you’re on the other side of that fence… It’s a shame that an electric fence was the reason Fushan has a vendetta against you.
He would touch the fence accidentally and had no one to get angry at except a tractor tire... it has massive chunks tore off it. I watched him attack it after touching the electric line one time. Everyone was told to STAND BACK!
It's amazing to get to see his expressions up close. The muscles in his face do the *exact* same things as one of my housecat's face muscles do. I can tell by Buddy's face when he's not in a good mood, and Gabriel had that exact same expression at the fence. Right now we are dealing with a grudge between Buddy and our newest cat--she attacked him while she was pregnant and defensive, and he has not forgotten that she's the attacky monster, so we are trying hard to re-introduce everyone under safe and pleasant circumstances. He hisses at her every time so far...sigh.
Dolph - That was an excellent video and excellent topic. I totally agree that animals have sophisticated emotions, and humans are a LOT closer to them than we think (just look at global conflicts). I love how you give all of your animals the benefit of the doubt AND you let THEM decide how they feel about you - and how those feelings are always in flux. I really appreciate what you do for the cats and how much you obviously care about them. I’m glad you are keeping an eye on Gabriel for any illness or injury. I adopted two adult stray cats and now they are getting old. I want them to be as happy and healthy as possible, so I watch your videos for any tips - and you have the exact philosophy I try my best to adopt.
@@CheetahWhisperer - That’s a good idea. I watch a lot of big cat videos, and it seems like all cats have similar behavior, emotions and cognition. My two elderly cats tolerate each other, but they will never be friends. My first cat is best friends with a neighbor cat, and the neighbor cat only likes two humans - and I’m not one of them. My first cat (Panther) has held a grudge against me ever since I adopted my second cat (Ashley), and he is just starting to forgive me after two years!
I think he felt bad that day and just wanted to be left alone. But you wanted to discover what was the cause of his problem, and unfortunately animals don't get that we humans do that for their best. However one of my cats act almost the same way if she discovers a smell an unknown animal (especially another cat) on my hands. She hisses at me and doesn't want me to touch her for a few days. She's just like "I feel betrayed, he pet another cat". After a day or two she forgives me. However she doesn't get mad at me if I pet other cats of our family. But I can't pet neighbours cats.
It's so endearing, "Let me smell your breath" 😂 😉 Just kidding. Gabriel wanted to go to you, but I think he was just feeling too sickly in his belly. It must be fascinating to you learning animal behavior over the years. Thanks for taking us on the journey!
It's amazing that you mentioned you've previously worked with greyhounds. I've been watching your stuff for years, specifically because cheetah behavior reminds me so much of greyhound behavior (we volunteer with rescues and were adopted by 2 greyhounds around 8 years ago)! As someone who's spent significant time with both animals, have you noticed similarities too, or am I mistaken? Thank you for sharing your amazing relationship with these amazing beings!
This was a very interesting video and I love the respectful way you make friends with these amazing animals. Thanks for sharing your intimate relationship with such a magnificent predator and giving us an insight into his behaviour and emotions 🙏😻
Hey I Might Not Be A Tiger Expert, But I Know One Thing A Tigers Trust Is Important... Tigers Trust You Because You Don't Show Harm, The Electric Fence Made Him Thought You Hurt Him... My Advise Is Show Him You Mean No Harm Sit By The Fence Watch Him Even If He Roars Just Don't Move... Basically Tigers Sense Fear And If Your Afraid He Knows Your Guilty Of Something... To Earn Back A Tigers Trust Is All About Showing Them They Can Trust You No Matter What... Think Of What The Tiger Wants And Show That Your Able To Give That To Him... So I Suggest To Spend More Time With Him But Don't Be Afraid And Don't Step Back, Hold Your Ground And Just Sit By The Fence...
That is good advice... I no longer visit this project and only was able to visit twice a year, but what this taught me was never to have a tiger... I wouldn't want one as a pet but talking as a rescue.
One day I was petting a friendly neighbor cat and the rain started and a drop fell on the cat's head and he turned to me and looked at me like I did it, he was disappointed clearly, and then he looked at the sky and understood what is happening, so he jumped off the table and ran home.
One of my feral cats is just like Gabriel. Affectionate and always happy to see me, just doesn't want to be touched or fussed with if he doesn't feel good. But he's always happy to drop anchor no more than a few feet away even when he doesn't feel well. He definitely holds grudges! He won't get within 3 streets of anyone he doesn't like, ever 😂
@CheetahWhisperer the more I learn from watching your cheetahs, the more it seems some feline traits are just universal among feline species! It's funny to watch Gabriel's reactions coz I talk to that one specific domestic of mine the same way. You're either in their little cat club or you're not and WE have no real say in it 😆
@@Drmcclung I just watched this video again to refresh my memory of it. It's a great video. I'm glad other cats are similar as it means they too have emotions and think. I'm really happy Gabriel forgives me for things I do wrong in his mind, whether it's sensical or not.
@@CheetahWhisperer I'd feel tacky for directly linking the video, not sure how I feel about plugging it anyway but search RUclips for "Big Bob's big breakthrough", the big white koala bear of a manx, that's the one your Gabriel reminds me so much of. There's a completely unexpected followup to that called "30s of big Bob's big lovin" from a few minutes later the same morning, where he just flipped right over on his back
Ahhh.... They eat raw meat, and have great enzymes and digest acids that break down bone, but sometimes too much bacteria can be in the meat, or resistant pathogens, or even meat that has chemicals in them, like antibiotics or preserves, brine marinade, growth hormone, or anything is not natural. All can result in puke... also bones that are not dissolved and also too many acids produced in the stomach. Feeding frequency must be balanced for cheetahs as they can end up with crippling gastritis where their stomach biodegrades from the breaking down of the lining. Results in pain, nausea and eventually bacteria entering the lining of the stomach and even death. Lots of things to consider when caring for a cheetah. Someone caring for a captive cheetah really needs understanding of cheetah biology, care, morphology, nutrition and known captive problems, plus an experienced wildlife vet that has experience with cheetahs. Cheetahs are extremely sensitive to many problems due to their lack of genetic diversity from their inbreeding during the last Ice Age.
Yeah, don't want people touching me when sick. Was probably bacteria in the food not digested or melted away by his enzymes and acids. He was fine afterward and no ill effects. Thanks for asking and watching!
@@CheetahWhispererI'm glad it cleared up quickly on its own. I can't imagine what it must be like to give these guys an antibiotic regiment. I'm dreading giving my cat his later and he's not gonna bite or scratch at all, just complain and sulk.
Yeah, he can get even angrier than that. He's friendly but has a catatude. But at least he does not try and bite unless you're a male cheetah or someone tries picking him up! No one tries that but he hates being manhandled. I've had to push him away sometimes rarely and he hates it.
Thanks Mr. Volker for sharing another incredible video session of your interaction with cheetahs. How do these cats behave during health checkups? Are they given prozac when grumpy? What about dental health checks /root canals? I am sure Gabriel would need to be totally pacified for that! In India, Namibian cheetahs were reintroduced but they probably all unfortunately perished in < 2 y. And so I assume cheetahs are relatively fragile--those introduced died of insect related infections during the monsoon. It is great that your program is so successful.
It is SO important to have a close trusting relationship with the animals in captive care... it provides them better care and actually safer for the keeper. When that cage is accidentally left open, you won't get mauled to death. The recent tiger killing his keeper last month at the Nigerian university where a keeper with 50 years of experience, raised the lions, was killed by one. He did NOT maintain a personal close contact relationship like Kevin Richards does and he was killed by one. No meds are given to cheetahs to alter their mood, but sometimes meds to treat pain or arthritis is, like glucosamine for older cats. I want to keep the animals in my care the way nature designed, no alterations for my benefit. That is not right to me. I love Gabriel as nature made, he's bold, brave, dominant, and independent. He would make cubs the same way that could survive and thrive in nature if he would breed. Not happened yet, but he's mated with no cubs. Yes, sorry about the deaths of the 8 cheetahs in India. More careful planning, involvement, needs to be done. I think their main problem is the wrong habitat for a cheetah subspecies that was not adapted in India, and they can't get close to any of them for proper care and nurturing.
Mr. Volker, I couldn't agree more with you. Being from India, I feel that more than anyone else. Unfortunately the cheetahs needed people like you-- detail oriented, extremely perceptive and willing to sacrifice it all to build relationships--and even though all the good intentions were there, perception was low or nonexistent. The animals were not properly immunized. The Indians are trying again & hopefully the second attempt is more successful. I personally would have contacted you first thing before embarking on such an ambitious program.
The Stomp is their best physical defenses. Cheetahs can't bite as hard as other large cats and not strong, so the noise slam is their best deterant. Thx for watching.
@@CheetahWhisperer Always. Must been some serious time now since we started to do the logo intros 😉 Still editing with after effects? I want to learn premiere pro aswell (built in subtitle maker synced to the audio) 🙂🙂
@@DjMiBsweden I don't use After effects much... I really like its better incorporation with Mocha as you can easily copy the points and paste them into an effect. Can't do that easy in Premiere. Ahh yes, it is wonderful having a cheetah like Gabriel enjoy my company, no lie. I wish anyone who loves animals can find a way to care for wild animals they love. But, never as a pet. A project like this that raises and releases or cares for retired ones or a sanctuary setting is best.
@CheetahWhisperer of course! Keeping a wild creature as a pet is cruel and wrong. Having a loving relationship with them, and/or caring for them as you do is wonderful! I admire that you put Gabriel's needs above your own and do things on his terms.
Yeah. It was probably sour food. They eat raw meat and can digest really well, killing everything, but sometimes there is to much or some slips by or something irritates their stomachs, or intestines. Hard to feed them 100% clean food, even for us, but cats and predators handle it much better than us. Gabriel was fine afterward and you saw him 2 days later at the end of the video. Glad to visit, greet and groom me. I always worry about him. Tr and enjoy all days before our end.
Maybe Gabriel doesn't like being seen sick or feeling sick. There's some humans who are like that, always wanting to appear strong and healthy. But in the end, isn't he just too much of a cuddle addict to be grudgy for long? 😄
Thanks for subbing! Content is slower to appear than the others because I only get 6 weeks or so to manage my project. It's embedded with another one that breeds and release cheetahs. I pay rent so they cate for mine. Don't have the funds or property to do it my own yet. Trying to partent with Running Wild Conservation or go on my own. But thx for the support! Just being here.
@@CheetahWhispererI would wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweat knowing a tiger has grudge against me. their stalking stories are so creepy💀
just like us humans we need our space every now and then and those who love us will always understand you have a beautiful healthy relationship with your Gabriel and I’m sure that he thinks the same of you too🐆
Yeah, these things don't last with cheetahs or even leopards I noticed. Not sure about lions and for sure not possible to make up with tigers. That Diago tiger still does not like that guy in South Africa who owns 2.
Gabriel is a sweet boy and I could already tell he didn't hate you. He was a little shaken up by something and it made him unsure of you, but he didn't hate you. He just needed space to figure himself out, just like a human does sometimes.
I know... I entitled this video for some views... Not hate, just annoyed... I knew he would make up, but it did take over 2 days. I’d do it again to make sure his health was OK. Follow him, check his health and annoy him a bit for his or any animals benefit. Thanks for stopping by!
That puts Gabe above quite a few people. i personaly tend to hold grudges quite relentlessly. Glad Gabe allowed things to be patched p, but was there not another large cat that started to not trust Dolph? i think something like it needed to be tranquilized for medical and noticed him just at the wrong time (it ws mentioned in that Gabriel getting sedated episode i believe).
Dang! You could learn something from Gabriel! Hahah.... That was Gabriel too! I didn't want him seeing me around when SHOT by that dart. He saw me and STILL purred. It was moving for me. Thanks!
@@CheetahWhisperer i find that animals are peter people than most people've known. so yes most likely i can learn from these lovable creatures. i do remember that but there was another cat involved, as an example within that episode of it not going so well - maybe bigger than cheetah, tiger, puma or something? sorry it has been a long while since i last saw it. Point is that one never forgave within confines of the episode. Much appreciate the conservation efforts of everyone who dedicates this much time to the aid of wildlife.
Sucks that a Tiger lost his trust in you and now carries a grudge, but it is what it is. Tigers are one of the animals that can carry one hell of a grudge besides Elephants and Chimps and they make it known. Better to cut your losses and move on instead of trying to repair it. At least Cheetahs are more forgiving.
@@CheetahWhisperer, true. And if Animal Planet's Mini-Series Fatal Attractions taught me anything is that ANYTHING can and will go wrong with keeping and handling wild animals. Travis the Chimp comes to mind.
@@WinterFrostDragon1347Yeah, cheetahs have killed about 5 people in recorded history, so they are much safer to work with, and I've seen them get angry, and you get injured, but survive. I'ts why I chose them to work with. A large cat that is somewhat non-aggressive and hard for them to kill you but the rewards of working with them when they like you, is worth it.
"Gabriel The Cheetah Hates Me!" But.. you're his best friend..? I'm glad he forgave you for your transgression (whatever it was), it shows that, even though he was mad at you, he still loves you - the sign of a real friend 😁 Also, as much as I admire tigers, I really don't want to piss one off 😂
So glad you enjoy the videos... I earned a Zoology degree that Really helps me diagnose and understand behavior, health issues and care. Highly recommend getting some higher education in the biological fields. Could be specialities or at Jr College. But, most folks doing this don't have a higher education and prior vollies and family.
Mal formation of a vertebrae and one of the reasons he's a rescue and not releasable. He still runs rolls and plays and does not bother him. I did a story on it and him... ruclips.net/video/pACXK-Gi4CU/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I had a cat that loved me to death until another cat ran into my house and attacked him. I was feeding him and she was sneaking in to get food. He was new to that family and still a kitten but looked grown. He hated me after that day. It's like he believed I caused it. She wasn't our cat but basically the neighborhood cat. I'd never had a cat dislike me before then.
Yeah... tramatic events can really result in a cause and effect with the psychy of animals who just don't or can't understand and then you loose connection.
I guess this now gives a bad taste at the end clip where you say "Follow me" in Gabriel's voice to have us subscribe, as Gabriel really hates being followed :P Good that it didn't turn out any worse, love the Gabriel content and videos with that cheetah.
How did I miss this? I understand, I check out my animals by sniffing ears and breath, looking at their butt and feeling them for anything asymetrical or weird. Cats are a little offended by it but dogs are fine with it. I would be very cautious too with a big cat! I'm so sorry that happened with the tiger, it just sucks and of course not your fault. I hope he forgets some day soon. Animals have souls if we have souls, and I've met a cloned Bengal cat that definitely had a soul.
Lower Ranking Wolf?! I’m sorry, but that isn’t a thing. There’s no hierarchy. The “Alpha Wolf” is an old outdated term formed from bias, and a botched study in the 1940s, which the term was coined in the 1970s from a book. The author realized their error, but it was too late. -A wolf conservationist.
That is interesting. I've read some research about that theory, but am not convinced. Do you have some evidence? Every wolf research I've seen, witnessed and read about reveals the hierarchy, like mating rights, feeding order, etc. There is obvious dominance and subordinates. Always open to the truth, just need proof.
Isn't grudges what the Bible warns against? But if you don't want to see them there, they will fester underneath. Thank you for this very enlightening video!
Not prescribing Gabriel here... but when I'm sick with tummy problems I snap at my partner just like that 💀I don't want anyone near me or touching me if I've been puking.
What was your reaction when your tiger got shocked? I believe It makes a world of difference when you apologize right away and show them remorse. When I accidentally stepped on my cat’s tail she screamed but stood there for a second to see my reaction. Of course I get down on my knees right away to give her love and kisses with some baby talk. That always seems to work.
Gabriel seems to purr a lot, even while holding a grudge, which seems different from house cats. Are all the cheetahs you know behaving the same as him? My cats aren't holding grudges against me but I really have to earn their purr! Or it's meal time.
It's very interesting about cat purrs. Researchers are leaning toward that a cats purr is involuntary... not conscious. I am beginning to think that the same. Many cheetahs purr when happy when around folks they like, but you saw clearly Gabriel likes me, was purring and then STRIKE and GROWL, but the purrs stopped afterward. He was purring immediately before getting annoyed. So, I think maybe purrs are involuntary and representative of how they feel about the being before them and emotionally attached. They love you but still can disagree. Still observing the cheetah purrs before I have a conclusion about them. We have some cheetahs that purr constantly around people, and I met one that rarely purred.
Ah gabriel was a bit of a grumpy cat glad he forgave you unlike fushan its really unfortunate that hé hates you becouse of somthing you dident do and what was the reason gabriek puked was he just sick or was it becouse he ate grass? (if cheetahs do that too)
Yeah, cheetahs puke sometimes. It can be bacteria in the meat that their stomachs don't kill, or a bone, or hairball, or anything. Gabriel was OK though, no ill effects, thank goodness. THey eat grass too.
Maybe Gabrielle just didnt feel well and simply wanted to be left alone. I know when Im sick i dont want to be touched . I'm glad Gabrielle forgave you!
Yup, you are right, keep my distance and boundaries. For me, there is one exception when I need to observe them for potential health issues. Then I will cross the line... We all would for anyone we love.
I don't sense it was you that annoyed him, he seemed a bit ornery maybe bc his stomach was soured. You would know him better than any of us, but 20+ yrs of nursing just makes me think it was stomach pain or upset stomach. What a shame to see your relationship end with the tiger over that hot wire.
Yeah... wasn't feeling well 😪. Tigers really don't have friends in the wild, so it's natural. Those who own them are risking tragedy, especially with intact males. Like Diego or Enzo...
I’m glad he forgave you! Have they reacted differently towards you when you’re really sad or really angry? Sorry for the many questions, this is all very fascinating!
No... no emotional responses like my dogs would. But I have not lived with them either. Living with an animal will reveal all. They are wild but tamed and in nice wild enclosures so they can feel more at home. But I bet they have some empathy, but suspect it's not nearly as strong as a local dogs. Cheetahs are cats but semi social, so they will defend their coalitions from some dangers. It will run from a fight.
Imagine that kneeling down in front of the fence, him right on the other side, and suddenly he does that ROAR!!! That is what happened when I lost friendship with that tiger as he touched the electric fence with his ear as I was petting him!
I think its a gender thing- even across human-animal interactions opposite genders seemt o gt along better, prolly bc of an inherent inborn sense of a lack of competition that you'd see in male-male and female-female interactions...when you had the sleeping cheetah vids they were all female and so there weren't any conflicts...but Gabriel is a dude, so..
I think this is a Mischaracterisation, or maybe just a misunderstanding in general on your part. I don’t think Gabriel was ever “mad” at you. I think you have some seriously annoying tendencies when it comes to cats. You’re talking loudly and way too much. You’re kind of always doing little annoying things and creating sensory chaos. That coupled with Gabriel just not feeling well and you constantly “checking up on him” probably just had him tired of your shit and just annoyed with you. Which is why when he starts feeling better he’s okay with you again, but you’re still annoying to cats in general a little bit in my opinion.
I agree. Or maybe Gabrielle is mad at being held prisoner behind an electric fence. Maybe Mr. Volker hasn't yet entirely domesticated him and hasn't yet completely extinguished his intrinsic desire to be what God intended - a majestic animal in the wild living a life in his natural habitat. Maybe he is tired of being used as a prop in Mr. Volkers RUclips videos so that Mr. Volker can make a profit and fulfill his selfish fantasies at Gabrielle's expense. Maybe.....
@@Kathryn-kq8ud Gabriel is not being 'held prisoner', he's being (or was) housed in a cheetah conservatory/breeding center in South Africa. The goal of this nonprofit organization is to restore cheetah populations because they are dwindling in the wild. Gabriel has been in captivity since he was 8 months old, and releasing him would be a death sentence. He's also far from domesticated and is not a 'prop' for anyone. Have you ever interacted with a cat before? They do things on their own terms. Cheetahs aren't any different. If you take that stick out of your butt and actually do some research, you might learn something. Go pitch a fit in someone else's comment section- someone who has actually done something wrong like all those russian youtubers with their black market bought wildcats (usually servals or panthers) that they keep captive in their homes as if they were little housecats. I’ve been binge watching these videos the past few weeks. Really neat stuff with super cute big kitties. Never stop posting these videos! Thank you so much
Cat 🐈 🐆 behavior is fascinating.
I love Gabriel so much ❤️❤️
Me too! Thanks for watching.
One of the most informative videos on animals I've ever seen along with being sweet and entertaining! Love it 😀
SO glad you enjoyed the video! True Story!
That beat note when the two cheetahs harmonize is amazing.
There ate even nicer ones too. One had a perfect 👌 purr that was almost the same sound exhaling and inhaling.
When I feel unwell I don't want to be disturbed either so I don't get stressed out
Yeah and cats are worse! MEOWwwwww! Phssstt!
Glad you’re on the other side of that fence…
It’s a shame that an electric fence was the reason Fushan has a vendetta against you.
Yeah! The ears, the mouth slightly open... Quite revealing.
It was so beautiful watching you win back Gabriel's trust. ❤
I know... I thought itnwould happen. They get annoyed, sulk about it but then come back. Happened before.
Ahhh that was nice. I actually read comments from my fans and their cats to help me with my cheetahs!
@@thetooginator153 Dang... 2 year grudges! Gabriel makes me wait 2-3 days before he's back to grooming and purring me.
Thank goodness the hate wasn't permanent..😅😅
I know... I love Gabriel so much and he loves his friend.
That is RIGHT! House cats are the same!
It's so endearing, "Let me smell your breath" 😂 😉 Just kidding. Gabriel wanted to go to you, but I think he was just feeling too sickly in his belly. It must be fascinating to you learning animal behavior over the years. Thanks for taking us on the journey!
THanks for watching! I love animal behavior, especially predators.
I'm glad you and Gabriel are cool and improving. Thanks so much for one of your videos🐾🐆.
Glad you like them!
They both live to run...
This was a very interesting video and I love the respectful way you make friends with these amazing animals.
Thanks for sharing your intimate relationship with such a magnificent predator and giving us an insight into his behaviour and emotions 🙏😻
SOOOoo glad you found this video interesting! I never know how people will react and try to make a honest and interesting story.

Thx for the comment!
Dang... cat intuition. They know more than we think.
That's cool! A feral cat like Gabriel. Glad you watched the video and saw cheetah 🐆 behavior in cats 🐈. Or was that reverse??? 🤔
@@CheetahWhisperer
I'd feel tacky for directly linking the video, not sure how I feel about plugging it anyway but search RUclips for "Big Bob's big breakthrough", the big white koala bear of a manx, that's the one your Gabriel reminds me so much of. There's a completely unexpected followup to that called "30s of big Bob's big lovin" from a few minutes later the same morning, where he just flipped right over on his back
Fantastic video! I was so sad when I saw the title, but truly felt catharsis by the end. I hope you're doing well.
I know! I can't stand Gabriel upset with me. Do anything to win him over again. So glad it is not permanent, and takes about 2 days.
Even with a fence inbetween, I wouldn't like to be on that tiger's shit list.
Yeah, he's scary!
A few days ago the I Am Cheetah channel's cheetah, Gerda, had a severe vomiting incident, that left them baffled.
@@CheetahWhisperer Thank you So much for answering! I will pass your reply on to them.
oh Gerda! I love her! I hope she gets better soon
Well I know I don't feel like being social when I'm sick so guess that was Gabriel's reason too...probably just a stomach virus?😋
Not going to lie...the pissy kitty at 1:45 had me saying the same thing...and I am about 8000 miles away, sitting at a computer and drinking coffee.
I love this channel

The Stomp is their best physical defenses. Cheetahs can't bite as hard as other large cats and not strong, so the noise slam is their best deterant. Thx for watching.

Is Gabriel feeling better? Was it ever found out what caused him to throw up?
Probably so. But, then he holds onto that annoyance feelings for days after feeling fine... :(

i find that animals are peter people than most people've known. so yes most likely i can learn from these lovable creatures.
i do remember that but there was another cat involved, as an example within that episode of it not going so well - maybe bigger than cheetah, tiger, puma or something? sorry it has been a long while since i last saw it.
Right on... Because of Fushan, I never want a tiger. I'd only consider one as a rescue, but not now. You may die.
@@CheetahWhisperer, true. And if Animal Planet's Mini-Series Fatal Attractions taught me anything is that ANYTHING can and will go wrong with keeping and handling wild animals.

Hahaha 😅 so true. What a deal breaker food is. For us all.
I guess this now gives a bad taste at the end clip where you say "Follow me" in Gabriel's voice to have us subscribe, as Gabriel really hates being followed :P
Good that it didn't turn out any worse, love the Gabriel content and videos with that cheetah.
Fair enough! He should have been mote specific or you'll get Scratched, growled at and begrudged!

@@CheetahWhisperer
“alpha male wolf false” is the Google search you should use for better results.
Isn't grudges what the Bible warns against? But if you don't want to see them there, they will fester underneath. Thank you for this very enlightening video!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Not prescribing Gabriel here... but when I'm sick with tummy problems I snap at my partner just like that 💀I don't want anyone near me or touching me if I've been puking.
Dang... keep away!
Hello Gabriel. long long time not see❤ 😊
He's so sweat and beautiful, even when mad. Quite growls and wines.
He was roaring loud as possible in my face, wanted to kill me and I backed away and left. I don't think I could have calmed that situation.
@@CheetahWhisperer ah good that it was nothing bad would hate it if gabriel got sick thanks for the video and have a great day

No... no emotional responses like my dogs would.

Maybe. Gabriel considers me one of his coalition brothers.and they treat you differently than a female cheetah for sure.

Haha... yeah moody but then literally takes 2or3 days to get over it.
Maybe Gabriel's pissed off because he's being held prisoner behind and electric fence????
Maybe.....
@@Kathryn-kq8ud maybe indeed
Dolph Volker is the last damn person you should be rallying against, especially when his only 'crime' is giving a damn about cheetahs.
Luaeria troll- this man is running a conservation center. Get the facts before you spew such nonsense. Instead of living in fiction, get a reality check.
@@Kathryn-kq8ud another troll running their mouth. This is a conservation center. Many animals living in the wild as God intended are in danger of becoming extinct. What have you done to help wild animals on this earth? Most likely nothing.
very cute gato
I will always love Gabriel and can never be upset with him like he does me. That's a nice friend he's got in me.
