- This new spraying stand is incredible. It appears to be just like the one they use in the Fender custom shop. This is going to make spraying guitars much easier and faster, and allow me to do more of them more efficiently. I can't wait to test this beauty out for real.

You got me through a tough covid lockdown when I decided to order a £120 kit guitar to keep me occupied. It's still my favourite one to play and I'll be sticking by you until I decide to try a little harder and build a slightly better one. Congrats on the new member of the family! You're a legend!
Thank you. I’m glad to hear your build went well!
I have a SpinTwist Paint Rig. It's awesome, and Bill, the guy who makes them, is really responsive and helpful.
Bill is great. He’s a good guy to work with.
That's a lot better than the cord I have hanging from my garage door!
This spray rig is certainly awesome. I looked them up and I think they are made in Canada and for the full system package the price is $412.20CAD and that is a fair price. If you don't want to spend this much money or if you are only wanting to spray a few guitars here and there. There are many videos and designs of similar rigs and how to build one on a budget! If you are looking to spray a bunch of guitars, and want a top quality spray rig, buy this thing immediately. It is certainly worth the money! I may very well get one for myself. Very Nice Brad! We know how to assemble this thing now and that is valuable information! Peace & Love
Thank you Todd. I totally agree.
Didn't finish watching the video and I've already ordered it! Thanks a lot Brad!
As I've mentioned before on Ig, you're the one who I learned how to spray guitars from, so THANK YOU! 🤙
Cheers Allan. I hope you enjoy the rig and I’m glad my videos have been helpful.
My buddy in San Diego has a guitar finishing biz, and has a similar rig. He does one thing that will help out in the long run. After you attach the sticks to the neck pocket, tape over the screwheads. That will stop paint buildup and keep them easy to remove after drying.
Yes, excellent tip.
That looks like a great piece of equipment. Covers everything as far as movement and positioning.
100%
One of these days I’ll get my butt in gear and do this.
Interesting unboxing Brad.
Thanks
Definitely a very handy tool!!
Relatively simple idea, but extremely effective and useful. No need to over complicate stuff sometimes.
Exactly!
Always fun on unboxing day. Enjoy
Man That’s so cool I got to snag one now 👍👍🎶🎶🎸Thanks Brad for the Share.
Cheers John
Thanks! informative! I enjoy your channel.
Thank you; I’m glad to hear it.
Awesome!!
Thanks
Very cool, I like it :)
Pretty cool addition to your shop...as you said, it looks well built. By the way, I noticed a bit of that 'new dad' sleepy-eyed look in your eyes...things will get better, hope the baby is doing great! 🙂
Thanks Paul. The baby is good. I’ve been pretty swamped at work lately, so that doesn’t help haha.
I have a similar rig from Stew Mac and I like it but man, I need that drying rack!!!
Nice rig, I'm sure it will come in handy for you Brad, I personally don't do enough guitars to make it worth while. That could change, thanks for the video.
You’d certainly need to be doing a few guitars for this I think.
I have the stewmac one, and really wish it had that swivel on it. This looks like it's a lot better quality too. Very Nice #envy lol
I haven’t tried the stewmac one, but I can’t imagine any other features that this one would need.
$220 plus shipping in the US. Even if you only do one guitar a year it's worth the money
I'm seeing it as about $240, without the drying rack according to the link Brad provided. Not bad, but for the rig he has, with the drying rack, it's about $300. Still not bad.
@@nychold Alot of value for the money.
If you’re a hobbyist who plans to do a few, I think it’s certainly justifiable.
Cool....✌️
Could have used one of these a few months ago! :O
Me too haha
Imma have to take a trip to Vegas ♠️♥️♣️♦️
Cool,
Tom Cruise doing guitar tools video!
Thanks for the video Brad - actually saw this demo'ed by the TTG guys - Cheers
Hi, Dan!
I’m sure they did a great job. They typically do.
Hi Brad! New subscriber here. I have a question for you. I would like to fill the bridge pickup cavity on my Harley Benton SC-500 single cut guitar. Is it possible to sand, paint and clear coat a section of the guitar without having to sand down the whole guitar finish? I hope that makes sense and thank you for the good content.
It’s possible, but very difficult to get it to blend well. If the guitar is painted with nitrocellulose lacquer it’s a bit easier.
Hey man! 🤗 I have a quick question, albeit off-topic! 🤣
I ordered an M6 double-cut from Precision Guitar Kits (the body and neck wood are African Mahogany), and I have some black guitar stain from Stew-Mac... I do like how boiled linseed oil works and looks too. What would be the most effective way to use the black stain and linseed oil? Should I apply the linseed oil first and let it dry, then apply the stain second and let it dry, then succeeding coats of linseed oil for the finish? I am an artist and perfectionist, but I'm not experienced with such things. 😂 Thank you! I love your channel and what you do! I like the cut of your jib, sir! 🤗🤣😎
Hey, good choice on the kit. I wouldn’t oil the wood first. I would generally just go straight to the stain, then let that dry and carefully oil overtop.
How can I connect a dowl to guitar body with out screw holes for neck
Just use shorter screws that don’t go in too far. This thing comes with them.
What is the pipeing frame at the base for, the big thing that looks like a D with a line through it?
It's a handle to grab onto, so no matter what direction it faces you can easily manipulate it without changing your own position.
Indeed, it’s a handle so you can keep control of it from anywhere around the stand.
I thought it may be a way to tilt it.
Now where in the hell is the fun in that? :)
Too simple? Not enough adventure?
But what about a neck-through or set-through guitar . I couldn’t find anything please help 👋🏻
He has a rig for that too. I have a video about it.
Are you going to be able to fit that in the spray booth?
It’ll go just in front of the booth so I can spray at the booth. Or I’ll get shorter legs for it and put it in the booth.
How do I get one .
Check out the reverb link in the description.
Looks Great! Where can I order it?

@@BradAngove Thanks!
Hey Brad, love the channel. I had a few questions that I was hoping you could help me with? Do you have an email I can reach out to? Thanks!
Hi Jacob, I answer questions on here or on Instagram.
👍🙋🇦🇹
Next puechase for me. Tired of my jerry rigged one.
A really cool toy but you need a whole lot of space. Clearly paint is going to go everywhere.
Actually, the opposite is the intent. By making the guitar turn and spin for you, you don't have to move around therefore putting the spray toward the exhaust fan. The inspiration for this came from watching Jay Nelson videos, and they do a good job of showing what I mean.
Yeah, notionally you should be able to contain your overspray better if you can always be spraying in generally the same direction and still have access to the entire guitar.
Brad I supposed to have won something from you in the past few days I'm trying to figure out if it is a scam or not
It’s a scam. I don’t know how they made that look like it was coming from me, but it wasn’t. Sorry for the hassle.
A waist of money.
"waste"
It’s not for everyone. If you’re only doing one or two guitars the expense wouldn’t be justified.
To anyone that can help.
Bit off topic but can you get colour tints to add to tinned nitrocellulose clear coat lacquer to create touch ups for worn areas on a guitar body. I have a bourbon burst colour and I've noticed the edge colour is like a tinted deep brown / red and it's translucent.
Yes, there are several that work. Colortone and trans tint are popular.
@@BradAngove I'll have to look into this as I'm from the UK.. We don't get good brands like 🍁 or the 🇺🇸. I purely watch you for your Technique and skill. Thanks for the quick reply.
Crimson Guitars may have something you can use.
@@BradAngove thanks again fella, never thought of Crimson Guitars.
@Brad Angove Hey Brad I just bought esp ltd ec-1000vb but I'm not a fan of the binding colour and i think its a bit tacky looking. I was thinking of like a purple haze to go with the matt black, what's your opinion on it. I'm painter aswell and the stand was a great purchase in my opinion you can think on the job your doing and not man handling the part. I put a velcro strap on my forearm and near my shoulder with the air line secure in the straps, so to keep it out the way and it's easier to focus when you spray and not keep your second on the air line . You should try it and see how it makes your spraying easier and that your not worrying if the air line hits off the part.
