I think theyll make more sense on ebikes where you have a central battery to charge. Theb only thing electric that interests me right now is a dropper post but they aren't long enough right now
I bought it bc I got a better deal for the GX axs than an X01 wired, ngl I don't see the difference, but I don't have issues with batteries, never forgot to charge them and they charge super quick anyways
Love seeing videos like this in Canada! Gives me so many places to try and visit as I travel around the country and solid feedback from riders like yourself on how the trails are!
Great stuff. We road some of those on Sunday and it's still dusty!! These are my favorite trails in the Valley. You were ripen them up and hitting some jumps I hadn't seen before.
Holy hell you are going all out! :D I always wonder how the fork+shock is setup for these kind of trails. Having trouble to find some good setup. Got a fox 38 (both high and low speed)
The end of this vid had me tensing up so much. “I do not want to go this fast on stuff I don’t know what I’m getting myself into.” I did just that the last time I rode and I got smoked breaking my wrist, snapping my collar bone, bruising some ribs and a slight concussion. 3 months later still recovering from the surgery for the plate that is now on my collar bone. Hopefully I can get over the mental barrier this will most likely have on me in a short amount of time.
Forbidden and Cumby content FTW! Bit of shame you rode in some of the driest conditions we've ever had here, on the island. Every trail is so blown out this season.
Hi phill, Do u mind reminding me what gloves u run. I know there is a vid that u told everyone what gloves they are but I don’t know which vid it is in.
Yeah those were just logged from what I gather. But that the nature of timber haversting. Eventually nature will take back over. Most of these forests have already been clear cut and replanted already.
i dont mtb at all. id love to start but being 6'0 275 lbs i feel like im on the heavy side for shit like this. I love snowboarding and wanna start mtbing as my summer sport. but i say that to say this... i love watching your videos Phil i live thru these until i pick up a mtb one day xD and ive been living thru these vids for a few years now haha.
mtn biking is super worth it. Watching Phils videos early last year got me back into biking after a 10 year break. I snowboard too and this keeps me doing stuff in the summer
Hey Phil, I know a feature in Trestle park on the trail called banana peel. It is a corkscrew gap drop. A little giveaway is that the drop is bigger than the ones on dirt merchant. Please check it out! Location: Grandby CO, Winter Park
Phil what shoes would you recommend because I have my five tens from years ago but I saw something about the rubber being different because adidas owns them? Anyway are there any comparable companies with similar style shoes?
Sick trails Phil! Love watching your vids from pomorskie Poland where there isn't many good places to ride like Whistler in the Canada but there some spots scattered around here :) Edit: Changed US to Canada (thanks @boriscima8134)
"I had ONE instruction..!"
That was such a good line, had me rolling.
Always great to ride with you Phil and it was a pleasure to get to ride with Hailey this time around!
Which trails are these up forbidden
Oh there were quite a few that day but here's a short list - Upper Refaptory, Cabin Fever, Dirty Jane, White Rabbit
Phil always makes me laugh when he laughs and it so entertaining, love this channel keep it up 🔥💯
That laugh comes out when he is pushing it to the edge lol.
The classic “Canadian chuckle”
I've ridden in Cumberland many times but never Forbidden, looks super fun up there... looked like you guys were having a blast!
If I had an electronic derailleur, I would be forgetting to charge the batteries and bring batteries all the time😂
Can't wait for one that charges itself 😅

Electronic derailleurs- creating problems that didn’t exist prior.
I bought it bc I got a better deal for the GX axs than an X01 wired, ngl I don't see the difference, but I don't have issues with batteries, never forgot to charge them and they charge super quick anyways
Thanks!
Love ya phil, you were one of the youtubers that got me into mountain biking 4 years ago, such an inspiration ❤
maaaaann, look at that trail! Hardly any rocks/loose stones. Looks so smooth!
Love seeing videos like this in Canada! Gives me so many places to try and visit as I travel around the country and solid feedback from riders like yourself on how the trails are!
So nice to see you shredding again Phil. Trail looks sick and sketchy. Ride safe. 🤘😊
Awesome Phil, go shuttle lower Mt.Washington while you're there! love to see you make that trail look as easy as you do everything else!
"Do I roll it or do I huck it?"
... We all know what option Phil is going for, here.
Great stuff. We road some of those on Sunday and it's still dusty!! These are my favorite trails in the Valley. You were ripen them up and hitting some jumps I hadn't seen before.
So many rad lines you are finding! My fav was avoiding the tree while going mach chicken

Love the line choice Phil's a savage Haley don't follow his lines
You absolutely must come to NSW Australia one summer (northern winter)👍🇦🇺👍
That little multi tool storage is wicked!
Buddy’s got the giggles
17:46 bad bad track design choice. obviously. need to fix that
Sick riding 🙌
great video
4:59 - If the trail is not yet named, I vote that they call it "Ker-chunky". Looks quite steep, too.
Holy hell you are going all out! :D

Yeah, unfortunately Thats just how it goes . I left the day it rained! :(
You should take some trails here in Nanaimo!! 🎉
We did the day before this. No videos though. I have ridden nearby at mt provost and did make a video there
so with that tool storage in the stem- how do you make sure the the stem is tight without the star nut?
That was some Mach speed. Holy smokes!
Hi phill, Do u mind reminding me what gloves u run. I know there is a vid that u told everyone what gloves they are but I don’t know which vid it is in.
Yup its the ixs carve gloves!
@@SkillsWithPhil thanks man love the content.
Really enjoyed the shredding and friendly banter but those glyphosate covered clearcuts look like a friggin war zone, so sad.

Cut blocks , Typical western timber harvesting system.

@@TheDonkDonk420 nice! glad you back into it! I def need to get into it. Plan to buy a mtb eventually.
Go check out normal mtber. 300lb shredder 🤘🏻 this sport can cater for everybody
Phil is best ngl
awesome place😅
It really is!
looks like riding threw kitty litter😮 that could be interesting
Forbidden means fun, every good mountain biker knows it 😂
this looks like Australian dirt. When you eventually make it down here, expect this.
Pebbles. Look up wentworth scale. Silt, sand, pebbles, cobbles, boulders..
Hi Phil, can you tell me the names of the trails you rode ? Thanks !

as a mtber have you ever come across people coming into mtbing from equestrian sports (horse riding) ie cross country, showjumping or rough riding
Yes, I have met at least one girl who used to do it professionally (i think), who now rides mtb.
On the second half, toward the end of the video, how freaking fast were you going? It looked to be 20-25 mph.
Really hard to tell. I'm not one to use a anything to track speeds, but it's definitely fast especially when blind. I recon it's pretty close to 25
Don't Wana go this fast but did anyway brilliant
Hi
Big Feet is real!
top 30 to like
Imagine needing batteries for your bike to function correctly.
Mark Mathews GoPro winning jump line was very close to where you were riding.
I saw it, but I'm not going to blow up his spot.
Weee
Anyone else hear Siri @11:14 -ish?
Probably my watch, i track rides with apple fitness and sometimes it tells me some useless information :P
@@SkillsWithPhil I thought maybe it was some trail navigation, “slow down, gnarly rock roll ahead” 😂
day 2 of asking phil to come to trestle bike park colorado
I'm going to ask you politely to stop.
Sick trails Phil! Love watching your vids from pomorskie Poland where there isn't many good places to ride like Whistler in the Canada but there some spots scattered around here :)

Whistler is not in Usa but in canada
@@boriscima8134Oh, my bad.
