Later to find out that demon was Piccolo but it is true that the fist wish we got to see was Oolang. Then several years later he gave more back story of the great demon that could not be stopped and all the souls he almost lost if not for the orbs. He gave hints to what it was for but he did state he used them before and he gave hints that lead to the fact Piccolo killed a lot of people to the point that Piccolo nearly wiped humanity from existence and it was because of Roshi that anyone still exists at all. Hell Universe 6 when introduced did state that humans died out from a green creature wiping them out long ago meaning in that universe they did not have a being like Master Roshi and they became extinct.

I find GT to be absolutely perfect and in reality is best fits with the original down to the insane Bopapapa Bo Pa pa.. It perfectly matched and referenced the original many times. Its also the last work made by the original creator of the franchise. Super came almost a decade later and took shit all over the franchise to the point I hate it. I literally hate Super because they changed characters back stories, de aged and un birthed characters that were required for the show's continuity. I classify the movies as far more cannon than super but GT was in fact cannon according to the original creator of the franchise.

In Japanese it was ギャルのパンティ送れー！(Gyaru no Pantie Okure!) that’s all. It basically was “Give me a pair of girl’s underwear.” I don’t ever recall it being “Bulma’s” specifically to my knowledge.
In the version of the manga I read, he said “The panties off a hot babe!” I guess the voice actor or writers didn’t want him to say that.
