Possible hot take: the arms of Sparta from ghost of Sparta is the best weapon in the series not only from a gameplay standpoint but it also has really cool lore tied to it it being Kratos's OG shield and spear from before he was both the servant of Ares and a Spartan general oh and it looks GORGEOUS with the legionare outfit

It is really great in every aspect and it bost your charage attacks with explosives that can knock enemies to theyr knees or in air. Stager enemies and overall it is great.
It's not the best rage ability for me. The problem arises in its damage. Thera's Bane is really useful when it comes to penetrating through armor and breaking them, but if you're gonna use the rage for damage I'd rather just stick to just the base Blades of Athena. Here's the thing: Thera's Bane's fire damage can be upgraded for a total of 3 times. With the Blades of Athena being leveled up to 5 times, it's better to use the Blades for damage because Thera's Bane gets significantly weaker the moment you upgrade your blades to Level 3 and above. The moment I upgrade my blades to level 4, I stopped using the rage unless someone is using armor. Edit: I also forgot to mention that Thera's Bane damage DOES NOT stack with Blades of Athena damage. I'd say even GoW1's rage ability is better than this because it gave more damage and skillset to work with. Overall, Thera's Bane is good at breaking armor, good at stunning enemies, but its damage falls when Blades of Athena are level 3 or higher.
@@ibn_adham As cool as Thera's Bane and how useful it is, they did not make its damage stack on top of base Blades of Athena. This is noticeable when I replayed the game on New Game+.

Zesty coming in with the clutch! Great video! It let me relax for longer (20+ minutes) and no, it doesn't feel unscripted! In a sense, that it's still easy to digest and hear, everything's fine.
Euralie's head max level and Rage of the Titans is easily the most OP combo in God of War history. Charge the hold circle, and activate rage to not get crowd controlled when getting attacked, freeze and kill everyone. This makes Titan Mode so much easier
Hot take: Ghost of Sparta has the best "rage" mode. Thera's bane as an idea is perfect. It allows for AOE damage with the searing core explosions, it grants invulnerability to Kratos while attacking, meaning that you can't be interrupted if enemies damage you while you attack, and players can approach every battle differently. Not to mention the fact that it recharges every 5 seconds or so ans you can do a fairly big combo with a full meter. That's maybe what Chains of Olympus was missing, a nice addition to the blades of chaos that allows for more combos and different battle approaches.
Not sure if this is a hot take, but I'll take it more of a theory: Blade of Olympus is possibly capable of injuring cursed Baldur based on its raw power alone.
If you decide to do a second hot take vid, I'd like to post one. Here it is. Hot take. I enjoyed all the Mainline God of War games including GOW 2018. But the reason I enjoyed God of War 2 the most of course is the story. But mostly because of everything you unlock. See before the PS3 or the days of DLC, game companies had major rereleases with added content. MGS which was on PS1 got ported and rereleased on PC as MGS Integral. This included a harder version of Extreme mode, a very easy difficulty, two bonus costumes one for Grey Fox and the other for Meryl, two hidden frequencies in the codec menu, and a separate disk that contains over 300 VR missions. He'll I'd argue that Devil May Cry had major rereleases. The major expansion it added was Bloody Palace. With DMC4 having Vergil's missions and even DMC5. God of War 2 has new game plus, you unlock 8 different skins for Kratos with Attributes. Some give you more orbs, infinite mana or magic if you prefer, and infinite rage. You also have urns of Powers to unlock. 4 are in the main story. The fifth one's unlocked after playing Titan mode. The Last one requires you to get God ranking in the Challenge of the Titans. If you complete challenge of the Titans with Titan ranking, you unlock the arena of the fates which is a watered down Bloody Palace only you can pick how many waves of enemies you fight and the amount and which enemies to fight. You also unlock another skin for collecting 20 cyclops eyes. It requires at least three playthroughs to unlock everything. Four of you want to play it on hard mode before jumping to Titan mode. You can see God of War 2 was built around replayability. How much you get out of it is always something of value.
I, FUCKING, LOVED, THE SHOULDER BASH, from GOW 1, I hated that it was a hold square thing in 2 because it removed flexibility with the attack in combos, also spinning and bashing was really fun
God of War 1 is probably my favourite game in the series. I'm a big believer in beauty in simplicity, not that 2 and 3 aren't simple but I just love the streamlined, self contained nature of the first game and I always have a great time every time I go back to God of War 1 whereas I can find myself getting bored not often, just sometimes when I boot up 2 or 3.
I agree with Zesty, I love the old style more but here’s my hot take if it can be called a hot take: I think the new style of gow is just as good and amazing as the old in it’s own way. Yes if you stack them up together the old ones are better but imo the new style isn’t trying to compare to the old style so I think it’s beautiful and amazing in it’s own way and very much stacks up to the old if you look at it like that; especially if ragnarok pushes the envelope even further. I really hope ragnarok does everything gow 2 did with the first gow, we’ll be looking at a whole new ball game when comparing the styles.
6:08 this made me think what if the Arms of Sparta were in GOW 3. In addition to your 2nd to last argument, what if the Blades of Athena's magic was implemented into the Rage of Sparta.
Hot take : the L1 + O in GOW ghost of sparta is underrate i mean its crazy to see kratos bomb rush enemy's in the ground as well as in the air just love that move!!!!
These hot takes were fresh bro, I only had an idea and not a hot take😅 and that would be in GoW 2 If you beat Zeus (somehow) in your first encounter (when your damaged) you could get an alternate ending like DMC5
I appreciate GOW 1 because it shows how Kratos has ALWAYS been strong, ridiculously strong. It was a slight hint at Kratos being some kind of powerful being instead of merely human (he was a demigod and we didn’t know it yet). His fam’s death, attempts to make it right instead of moving on was very fresh and gut wrenching to watch a man fall from such high grace from a mistake, made in Rage.
Even though he was strong always he grew far stronger over his journeys. Its stated and shown numerus times As of GoW1 its said in the novel he was only almost as strong as an Olympian,it was due to godly energy from Pandoras Box that he beat Ares
Hot take: God of war 3s best godly possesion is poseidons counch shell, litteraly gives you infinite magic, i LOVE it you also dont take dammage when doing magic attacks.
Maybe hot take : in GOD OF WAR 3 when cronos said "curse this chains" after getting defeated by kratos he actually meant kratos's chains and not his own tample chains i guess
1. Not a hot take... Not even a take at all. 2. Literally just a theory you made up. 3. Not true, he's talking about pandora's temple being chained to him.
Man I would love Santa Monica make a game about a young Zeus and his rise to becoming King of the Gods and have cool bad ass lightning attacks and kicks and punches and eventually gain the Blade of Olympus as a weapon and just fight against the Titans it would've been so bad ass.
Hot take: god of war ascension is the best god of war game and the most underrated in my opinion, the gameplay in this game was really smooth and it had a lot of potential if you knew what you’re doing especially when you charge up the rage meter the game rewards you with great damage and I really like how the game didn’t have different weapons but had 4 different elements to the blades of chaos because the blades feels nostalgic and I always come back to them even if i had 3 different weapons, the story wasn’t as bad as people say it is maybe not as good as 1 but it wasn’t bad tbh.
I got 2 Hot takes: prison of the damned was the best level in GOW, and the redeemed warrior (your ascension multiplayer character) was an interesting character with lots of potential
The other chain blades im gow 3 could've been 2 different modes for the blades of exyle, maybe they shapeshift into those designs or just change attack colour/effect. And you change em mid combat between the three modes with... R3.
I can't come up with any hot takes, but i leave a comment anyway just to support. Let's go to these 13K. Also, absolutely LOVE your ending landscape shots with that music.
I really like the part of the video showing kratos take a walk on the sword of Athena...zesty add more of this cinematic zoom out shots in the series at end of each video
Hot take: If you think about it, Ares was the only god who was really close to defeat Kratos 1v1. The other gods (incluiding Zeus) got smashed by Kratos.
Hot take: the claws of hades and the nemesis whip were basically useless for combat, whenever I play gow3 I never find myself using anything other than the Neiman cestus and the blades of exile. Other than the tutorials and the whip puzzle. This is for if you didn't see it on the last video
Not a hot take but: the Spartan Rage for GoW3 should have been more overpowered. The Blade of Olympus should have had energy blasts like GoW2 and Divine Reckoning, and more.
Hot Take: The Furies are better antagonists than the Sisters of Fate. I still like the Sisters of Fate boss fight better but the Furies were much more active antagonists because we encountered them multiple times and we had multiple fights with them but we only properly encounter the Sisters of Fate towards the end of the game. The Furies also had more of a connection to Kratos because Kratos needed to kill them to properly break his oath to Ares and they have been tormenting him by imprisoning him in the Hecatonchires and cursing him to see illusion. The Sisters of Fate never did anything like that. Overall, the Sisters of Fate had better fights but the Furies are better as active antagonists.
Why was I not subbed?????!!!!! So GOOOOD to see all the love for original GOW!!! Gonna binge!!! My fave No1 is 3.... I also love Ascension and Chains.... I am desperately in love with Kratos and have been since 2005. I'm not talking about those games that have come out recently....
Hot take 1:God of war 2 is the best god of war game to date,if you consider the time is was made,to explain it further,in 2007 within only 1.5 years the devs were able to make such a masterpiece for its time, imagine how the game would have looked and sounded if it was made with far better graphics, sounds and updated for the ps5 as a triple A game. Hot take 2:In gow 3 it was super smart from the devs to hire Mr.Crabs to voice Hades and the Hercules from the 90s show to voice Hercules in the game, these kind of easter eggs are awesome. Hot take 3: God of war 2 has the best soundtrack in the series hands down. Bonus hot take:If Chains of Olympus was 33% bigger than it already is and had the Ferryman's Scythe as the secondary weapon it would honestly be a far better game by far.
Hot take (maybe): God of war 1's and 2's Soundtracks are better than 3's. Don't get me wrong, Gow3's Soundtrack is amazing, but in 2 and 1 there's a lot more memorable themes. Like in God of War 1, there's the magical theme going on in the cutscene where Kratos is sailing to Athens, The Calm and atmospheric theme in the streets of Athens, the Minotaur's theme, Zeus wrath divine/Save Family theme, the epic asf Ares theme, and of course the Vengeful Spartan. In God of War 2, there's the more action packed version of Vengeful Spartan, the phenomenal End Begins, The Pheonix Chamber, The Rhodes Theme and more! In Gow3 there's the Opening Theme, Zeus fight theme and the Main Theme :/ (they're still great but you get the point)
I just ended both And i kinda agree, i liked more Gow over Gow 2. Main reason is i freaking love Pandora's temple, wich is 75% of the game. But i understand most everything is better in 2, combat, plataform, puzzles, level design. But there is something about a giant puzzle dungeon that gets me.
@@chetankalyanreddyarabandi2818 its completly insane, the magic dammage from gow1 is unmatched in gow 2 but the creativity with the magic in gow make it better imo , euryale head is a straight up better meduzas gaze, typhon bane does less dammage than zeus fury but has much, much more better move when upgraded, and kronos rage can be infinitly spammed and cancel dammage upon impact making it the most useful magic in the series
@@IIKratosII I personally prefer gow 1 magic attacks much better because of theses reasons While euryale head is a better Gorgon head I personally don't use Gorgon heads that much compared to the other attack because it isn't as satisfying as the others its like "I will shine some light and they are dead" Poseidon Rage in my opinion is better because it gives you invisibility alongside a massive amount of damage output compared to Cronos rage (unless full upgraded) but I still like how we can place multiple electric spheres with Cronos rage While Typhoon bane has an amazing magic attack when fully upgraded it is something expensive compared to zeus fury which can be upgraded to full level with 4000 points and Fully upgraded zeus fury is op as hell considering it can literally 2 shot cyclops which are some of the hardest enemies in gow 1
love the hot takes videos....i never have hot takes. I guess this might be one, head of helios in GOW3 sucks. kratos should've just held his blades in his hands for dim a.o.e. lighting. in still feel that way with light of alfheim other than the black breath thing. you should do a crazy ideas video. I got a lot of those, im sure other people do too.
God of war 2 when the sisters take kratos to the past when kratos and Ares fight happening is the most best Cinematic in the entire God of war series and u can't beat this
Hot take: the nemean cestus magic attack aka the nemean roar is the least best magic attack in gow 3. It’s definitely not bad and is pretty good but it isn’t as good as the magic attacks of the blades of exile, claws of Hades or nemesis whip
GoW3 is my favorite and GoW2 is my 2nd favorite, but yeah, thinking back to that game more, I can absolutely understand why it's starting to appeal to you more.
I think gameplaywise GoW2 is better cause it has more smooth gameplay mechanics, but overall I prefer GoW1 because of the story, and the creative level design.
I honestly like the atmosphere in pandora's temple more then the atmosphere in the temple of the fates and the level design in pandora's temple was amazing
@@HAMZA-OLYMPUS the beginning of Kratos 👌God of war 1 ps2 2005 and now Ragnarok comes next month on my BIRTHDAY 😢😭Can't wait to see Atreus and Kratos in this game
Hot take: baldur is the best opening boss in the series (or at least is in the top 3) In cinematics we have that great introduction with the dialogue we already know, but also a nice ways to change scenaries (like the minigame in the cabin roof and the introduction of the rage) And in game is the only human sized op boss, which is something original for the gow games, the battle is fun and we have details in the arena like trees falling down and rocks being destroyed when kratos or baldur crashes on them In summary is a classic 1v1 with great moments and fun mechanics that starts perfectly the story of gow2018
Nah to me that's one of the weakest opening boss fights in GOW history. Baldur was honestly annoying to me because every time they fought Kratos was holding back & it was completely against his character. That whole fight didn't feel organic at all. Where the other fights felt like Kratos was going to WAR & was gonna destroy everything in his path. Kratos vs Baldur felt like a sparring match. Felt like two boxers practicing with each other. It never felt like they went to battle to the death. Like it was just weak to me & the boss fights of 2018 GOW were disappointing. Especially because that's what GOW was known for. I got the Colossus of Rhodes, the Hydra, & Poseidon ahead of Baldur.
Hot take : the rage in the god of war 1 and 2 are really faster than the rage in god of war 3 it really feels slow like you are becoming flash in god of war 1 and 2 and you really become flash itself in god of war 1 though it is really cool being able to use the blade of Olympus and it not even slow that much but for some reason it feels slow
Here's a hot take how the fuk Kratos forget the rampage of furious, cyclone of chaos, tatres rage ect after losing his power eg GOW 2 when Zeus kills Kratos and GOW 3 when Kratos falls in the revere. When he gets the blade of exile he forget how to do cyclone of chaos and etc. ( what I meant is that upgrading the weapon for more damage) Love your content keep it up
Hot take : god of war ascension is so underrated .This game has amazing graphics ,beautiful scenaries ,a really cool multiplayer and a huge variety of combat where you can combo the living hell out of the enemies
>Ascension is underrated Not appreciated by no stretch of the imagination (for pretty good reasons), yes. The game has many, many problems (that we vets informed the devs about during playable demos but ended up getting shit **they even blocked GMG for correcting concrete flaws**) that start to rear their head once you get to meaningful run work. I don't think I need to go farther than pointing out these 2 examples. Hooded Gorgon graduates from a major grunt to straight up mini-boss status. 265HP (red halo at 55), immune to launch/bounce/knockback, Armored animations, Stare doesn't really work in our favour (can't use it for friendly fire unless utilizing a very unwieldy exploit), and their grab has activation DMG. Sirens Sybils have 180HP (red halo at 25), 3x overhead thunderbolt scales with difficulty (even though it counts as a projectile **which DON'T scale with settings very often, and when they do, it's usually disastrous cases like this**), dealing 25DMG each on VH, shriek has horizontal tracking shy of aimbot, and you haven't even heard the funny part. When fighting 2 Sirens their favourite spammable move (3x overhead) can overload the visual effects and make the bolts INVISIBLE. You can get hit by seemingly thin air for either TREMENDOUS amounts of DMG or just get zero-to-death'd in challenge runs. Oh, and Trial of Archimedes has you fighting 2 Gorgies and 2 Sibyls at the same time (can limit it to 1 Gorgon with smart spawn pool management). Not a problem when you are ridiculously overpowered (Oath stone, soul dump, shield plume with CP glitch, air shredding with held specials, etc.). Now remove what makes you unstoppable and you'll see the problems. >multiplayer A wasted mode taking the place of 'Challenges' and Arena. Tons of resources that were dumped into it could have elevated the actual game, too.
Hot Take: the new god of war game has a pretty short story I have played multiple games that have taken me 200+ hours to beat and there was this one game I forgot it had this gigantic map could explore every inch of it but in god of war you can’t do a lot of exploring like in alfhiem there’s a gigantic crack imagine if we could go in it and there would be a new area like vanahiems crater.
Gow 1 is my fave in the series. Love the adventure I went on with kratos, the first boss the hydra was so cool, amazing attacks, awesome introduction to both kratos & the blades of chaos but the music, phenomenal! Gow 1 is my fave with gow 3 being literally right next to it. Gow 2 had some awesome moments, in particular the lowlands crossing bit, the music & more development of kratos, but overall its not in my top 3. It would be gow1,3, chains of olympus. Then gow 2 (haven't played the new ones yet)
All that is on God of War 1 was enough because in my opinion, every magic items in God Of War 1 was OP. For example, Zeus' Fury. It has a small amount of mana cost, but it's so powerful. The Poseidon's Rage was better in God of War 1 than God of War 2, the only thing that made Poseidon's Rage cooler in 2 is that Kratos speaks while using the Poseidon's Rage. I don't go with the Medusa's Gaze becausd they looks like the same in 1 and 2. The Army of Hades, which is in my opinion the strongest magic ever in God of War franchise is the highlight of the first one. And of course, the Rage of the Gods was better than Rage of the titans. God of War 2 might be better in cutscenes, but the gameplay, God of War 1 got the W. The hardship of God of War 1 was way more harder than God of War 2.
Yeeaaaahhh GOW 2 is better. lol I'm about half way through my playthrough of GOW 2 after playing GOW 1 and there's definitely a level of polish in the second game and I think the spectacle that the GOW series is known for really hit it's stride in the second one. Not saying I don't like the first one, I do, but the second one just feels better imo. My hot take is that GOW Ascension is a great game! Though I might have my nostalgia glasses on..
The levels in gow 2 are big but gow 1 has more stuff put in them like the ship and of course seeing ares do all this cool shit in the background you could see the mini war going on, just way cooler
Hot take - if you only account for the gameplay and visuals, Poseidon is the best boss fight in gow 3, with hades and Zeus at close second. I just love the concept of being on a titan which is fighting WITH you against still such a formidable foe. (Remember, this is only with gameplay and visuals, otherwise Zeus with all the buildup and emotional means would definitely be better)
Idea : you are gonna like this one what if they had added the swipe or slash that Zeus does in gow 2 to completely annhilate the sprtan army after reaching 25 or 50 hits focking cool in the gow 3 rage mode or maybe a bigger version of the cyclone

HOT TAKE: Ghost of Sparta is a better sequel to GOW1 then God of War II (narratively). It builds out the world, adds context to Kratos' madness and rivalry with Zeus and introduces the Titans. It also takes us to amazing locations like Sparta, Atlantis and the Domain of Death. Make some rewrites to better incorporate the Titans and Zeus and it's absolutely able to take that place in the story

Not to mention the fact that it recharges every 5 seconds or so ans you can do a fairly big combo with a full meter. That's maybe what Chains of Olympus was missing, a nice addition to the blades of chaos that allows for more combos and different battle approaches.
It absolutely is
God of War 1 & 2>God of War 3.
There, I said it.
Your comment is not wrong though.
Not sure if this is a hot take, but I'll take it more of a theory: Blade of Olympus is possibly capable of injuring cursed Baldur based on its raw power alone.
I agree.
Might drain the curse if it's considered a "power" to the blade and leave him mortal
Hot take: God Of War 2 has the best art work and environment compared to other gow series. It makes the player to experience a great epic adventure.
Hot take; Jason in gow2 getting taken by the Minotaurs could’ve been avoided, he fell over and clearly didn’t try. Check if you don’t believe me
Hot take i feel like the gaze of medusa is underated and can save you from bad situations with enemies with a lot of health
The Arms of Sparta are in Playstation All Stars Battle Royale
Hot take : the L1 + O in GOW ghost of sparta is underrate i mean its crazy to see kratos bomb rush enemy's in the ground as well as in the air just love that move!!!!
These hot takes were fresh bro, I only had an idea and not a hot take😅 and that would be in GoW 2 If you beat Zeus (somehow) in your first encounter (when your damaged) you could get an alternate ending like DMC5
Hot take: GOW 2018 is soft violence wise compared to the old ones, and probably is gonna be the same with ragnarok
“…and stuff ..yadda yadda ..and stuff..”
Wow , those are some nice arguments there brudin🌝
I appreciate GOW 1 because it shows how Kratos has ALWAYS been strong, ridiculously strong. It was a slight hint at Kratos being some kind of powerful being instead of merely human (he was a demigod and we didn’t know it yet). His fam’s death, attempts to make it right instead of moving on was very fresh and gut wrenching to watch a man fall from such high grace from a mistake, made in Rage.
Even though he was strong always he grew far stronger over his journeys.
Its stated and shown numerus times
As of GoW1 its said in the novel he was only almost as strong as an Olympian,it was due to godly energy from Pandoras Box that he beat Ares
@@newhybrid101 After the pandora's box, he has the best magic (Gow1) best rage and best combos. So that is kratos prime
Hot take: In gow1 rage of the gods is the best rage. It grants infinite magic when your blades are at level 5
Hot take:
God of war 3s best godly possesion is poseidons counch shell, litteraly gives you infinite magic, i LOVE it you also dont take dammage when doing magic attacks.
My bro jinxed Yuri here predicted the whole atreus thing of Ragnarok.
Hot Take:
Cronos' Rage from GOW 2 (although very useful when it comes to building the combo meter) is the least cool magic in all GOW games.
everytime i see a notification from you OMG it makes me happy dude i love your content and you made me love god of war even more now ❤️❤️
Man I would love Santa Monica make a game about a young Zeus and his rise to becoming King of the Gods and have cool bad ass lightning attacks and kicks and punches and eventually gain the Blade of Olympus as a weapon and just fight against the Titans it would've been so bad ass.
That Guy Who Commented God Of War 1>God Of War 2, The Guy In Future: Let's Argue God Of War Chains Of Olympus Is Better Than God Of War 3 💀
Hot Take :- Blade of Chaos in GoW 2018 don't have that same felling ..as we have experience in GoW 1,2,3
Yes, i love them, this series have such an amazing landscapes
Yes. It is lacking in billions of ways.
In Playstation All Stars Battle Royale The Blade of Olympus is A Very Powerful Weapon
I agree, I am grateful that someone thinks same as me, I have always loved god of war 1 while everyone was praying the second
15:30 Thank you Mustafa for reading my comment.! it made me so happy. I've been your big fan since the Iceberg video. thanks for the smile 😁
I haven t played gow ascension so I probably shouldn t say thus but nigga wat
@@orimexit3659 Play of watch GOW ascension then
The Sisters were Controlling every mortal and God's fate( Thanatos mentions them in Gow Ghost of Sparta)
Hot take: Colossus of Rhodes is the best opening boss ant has the best soundtrack in the background while fighting
Hot take (maybe):
God of war 1's and 2's Soundtracks are better than 3's.
Non is better than the other one. there all unique and they all are amazing.
The first let's argue that is 25 minutes ? I love it
Hot take: The Spud of War costume is the best costume in the series and it's not even close. Also it looks the sexiest of em all, don't @ me
I just ended both And i kinda agree, i liked more Gow over Gow 2.
Main reason is i freaking love Pandora's temple, wich is 75% of the game.
But i understand most everything is better in 2, combat, plataform, puzzles, level design.
But there is something about a giant puzzle dungeon that gets me.
Hot take: GOW 1 has the best magic attacks in series and also it has the best narrative in the original series
Pure dammage gow1 magic take the crown, overall 2 take the crown
@@IIKratosII yeah I agree Poseidon's rage and army of Hades wipes out the battle field
@@IIKratosII I personally prefer gow 1 magic attacks much better because of theses reasons
While euryale head is a better Gorgon head I personally don't use Gorgon heads that much compared to the other attack because it isn't as satisfying as the others its like "I will shine some light and they are dead"
Poseidon Rage in my opinion is better because it gives you invisibility alongside a massive amount of damage output compared to Cronos rage (unless full upgraded) but I still like how we can place multiple electric spheres with Cronos rage
While Typhoon bane has an amazing magic attack when fully upgraded it is something expensive compared to zeus fury which can be upgraded to full level with 4000 points and Fully upgraded zeus fury is op as hell considering it can literally 2 shot cyclops which are some of the hardest enemies in gow 1
That bow I-frames thing is gonna be pretty useful next time I play GoW II
love the hot takes videos....i never have hot takes.
Thanatos's daughter builds up Thanatos as well , it's just a very scary family
GoW3 is my favorite and GoW2 is my 2nd favorite, but yeah, thinking back to that game more, I can absolutely understand why it's starting to appeal to you more.
bro discovered the bow dodge and it's a new game completely I understand it's cool asf
hot take: zeus' move set inside gaia was weird with the constant laughs and clones
hot take : gow 2 best (balance,physics,real good smoothness...etc)
I think gameplaywise GoW2 is better cause it has more smooth gameplay mechanics, but overall I prefer GoW1 because of the story, and the creative level design.
Omfg yes, the first game has the best level design in history
I honestly like the atmosphere in pandora's temple more then the atmosphere in the temple of the fates and the level design in pandora's temple was amazing
@@sinisterknows6178 YES ABSOLUTELY! 👍
@@HAMZA-OLYMPUS the beginning of Kratos 👌God of war 1 ps2 2005 and now Ragnarok comes next month on my BIRTHDAY 😢😭Can't wait to see Atreus and Kratos in this game
Hot take: baldur is the best opening boss in the series (or at least is in the top 3)
In cinematics we have that great introduction with the dialogue we already know, but also a nice ways to change scenaries (like the minigame in the cabin roof and the introduction of the rage)
And in game is the only human sized op boss, which is something original for the gow games, the battle is fun and we have details in the arena like trees falling down and rocks being destroyed when kratos or baldur crashes on them
In summary is a classic 1v1 with great moments and fun mechanics that starts perfectly the story of gow2018
Hot take : the rage in the god of war 1 and 2 are really faster than the rage in god of war 3 it really feels slow like you are becoming flash in god of war 1 and 2 and you really become flash itself in god of war 1
though it is really cool being able to use the blade of Olympus and it not even slow that much but for some reason it feels slow
22:55 my mans really just said "whipping out animation" without a joke to follow it up?? Missed opportunity lol 😆 love the videos as always man!
*whips out meat scepter*
@@ExtremeGameplays1 there it is lmaooo 😆
God of War (2005) easily has the best level design in the history of gaming, and generally is one of the best games ever made, FUCK me with no condom
Hot take: God of war 1 has better magic mechanics than 2 because army of hades was better compared to crono's rage
Mechanic and convenience goes to 2, dammage 1
Ayyyyyyyyyyy I was so happy and surprised by the honorable mention hahahaha thank you bro
( what I meant is that upgrading the weapon for more damage)
Love your content keep it up
Hot take : god of war ascension is so underrated .This game has amazing graphics ,beautiful scenaries ,a really cool multiplayer and a huge variety of combat where you can combo the living hell out of the enemies
>Ascension is underrated
Not appreciated by no stretch of the imagination (for pretty good reasons), yes.
Now remove what makes you unstoppable and you'll see the problems.
>multiplayer
A wasted mode taking the place of 'Challenges' and Arena.

Hot take: zesty is a flashy and stylish comboer
That is the same to saying that gow1 endgame kratos is the strongest or at least, the most powerful kratos ever, meaning that is his prime
Yeeaaaahhh GOW 2 is better. lol
I'm about half way through my playthrough of GOW 2 after playing GOW 1 and there's definitely a level of polish in the second game and I think the spectacle that the GOW series is known for really hit it's stride in the second one. Not saying I don't like the first one, I do, but the second one just feels better imo.
My hot take is that GOW Ascension is a great game! Though I might have my nostalgia glasses on..
I do prefer 1 to 2 tbh but i kinda think has more quality and good changes
Hot take : Fighting Scylla was better than the Basilisk
that my beautiful queen line is so freaking funny with the picture you put on it Lmfao😂
Hot take: gow1 menu music is better than gow2's
Hot Take: The Spear Of Destiny Is A Cooler Weapon (In Terms Of Looks) Than The Blade Of Olympus
How about Arms of Sparta
Hot take:
It would be cool if Zesty made a video about
Top 5 Pixels in God of War
The levels in gow 2 are big but gow 1 has more stuff put in them like the ship and of course seeing ares do all this cool shit in the background you could see the mini war going on, just way cooler
Hot take - if you only account for the gameplay and visuals, Poseidon is the best boss fight in gow 3, with hades and Zeus at close second. I just love the concept of being on a titan which is fighting WITH you against still such a formidable foe. (Remember, this is only with gameplay and visuals, otherwise Zeus with all the buildup and emotional means would definitely be better)
Zeus in Gow 2 could turn Giant and Shoot Massive Lightning
Hot take: GOW1 Kratos looks more bigger/taller than GOW2 Kratos.
Hot take: L1 + x from gow 1 is way better than gow 2 and 3's L1 + x
Idea : you are gonna like this one what if they had added the swipe or slash that Zeus does in gow 2 to completely annhilate the sprtan army after reaching 25 or 50 hits focking cool in the gow 3 rage mode or maybe a bigger version of the cyclone
Hot take: Hades Is a the best boss battle balanced because you are in begenning of the game"GoW3" and Is like Blades vs Blades and 1v1, X:"but Hades Is 3 size up of Kratos"
Me: "So?"
Hot take Posideon's Rage from God Of War 1 is the best magic attack in the franchise. It's really good looking it has probably the most damage of the magic attacks in the series.
after learning to cancel animation on god of war 2016 and do things like through the axe insanely fast im tryin every god of war with this mentality and is so fun to discover new ways to do combos
God of war came out in 2018.
@@alexmichaelraccoonplays8777 yes, and you miss the point.
Even though I’ve played both once, I did prefer God of War 1 over God of War 2 despite the improvements it had in certain areas
