I maybe see the 4cyl in the base model, but the Z71? The V6 should at the very least be an option. From my experience, 4cyl in that large of a vehicle = long term problems.
Gm has been putting the 4 cylinder in full size trucks since 2019. So far they been holding up pretty well
@@davidleeosbourne2727 2019 is not enough time to tell wether they are holding up. Maybe 20 years, and I will believe.
(People that would never buy a traverse anyway) “ugh 4 cylinder?! Pass!”
That wil make a great used car, 2 years from now for 30k
That’s the plan 😂
Then before it makes it to 50k mileage turbo failure causing engine damage that gm tells dealers ship to only repair top end.🤦🏻♂️ Hopefully they have a V6 option
Lmao exactly hell of a grab at $30k
With leaking valve covers, coolant issues, and slipping transmission. I want to like it. I really do and I keep looking at these reviews but I just have this gut feeling I need to go with the Grand Highlander. I’ll wait and see…
No cause trans will be slipping and will also need motor work.
Soft touch materials on the rear door panels awesome I wish other companies would do the same, nice suv good tech lots of space, not perfect but not bad at all cool review 💯
I could've used one of your lengthened reviews, especially driving; but Thanks for giving us what they'd allow. Can't wait for more to arrive on lots for a comparison review.
Saw the thumbnail, thought it was a Tahoe.
This light control gripe is blown way out of proportion. I always left my lights on auto before anyway. You still control the brights on the stock and the on/off is always on the screen.
I don't understand these small/heavy SUVs with small turbo engines (under more stress than a v6) Why not the straight 6 turbo? I guess it's good marketing for the car companies to ensure you get a new care every 5-7 years.
Emissions. Its happened across the entire industry the last few years. Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Crossovers, whatever.
Definitely an upgrade, just wish it wasnt slower than the old 3.6 v6. I guess extra power/torque and a turbo can only fight physics so much…
You lost me at 4 cylinder… good review Ben
its basically the same motor that is in the Silverado, and has proven very reliable, also makes a lot more power than the old v6
All good. You’re the Neanderthals we’re trying desperately to leave behind!!😂
Better than the old V6 that had timing chain issues
DUUUUR 4 cylinder baaaad. Evolve for christ sake
Great review! I’m a fan of the RS and would love to see it compared side by side to some of its competitors.
Fantastic design 🩶
Good looking suv for a Chevy
Can 3 car seats fit across the 2nd row?
I like this baby Tahoe of a Traverse.:)
For me, Ben, that drip part of the taillights reminds me of the old gen Camry 😅
Grand Highlander has a 2.4 turbo 4.
If GM had a good hybrid system and in this I would be on it.. or even Diesel.
Wow I thought that was a Tahoe at first
A $50K Chevy with an interior that warrants it.
Perfect, another unaffordable SUV.
They're around $40K starting, they're far from unaffordable
This would be a sweet car…if GM had simply kept the V6.
Imagine if they put the start button in the screen 😂
Man you gotta get over the whole infotainment thing. I rarely have to touch my screen and NEVER have had to touch the light controls. I know it's new and an odd idea but functionally there's very little impact. Like if the infotainment screen went out your vehicle is still driveable. Unless for some odd reason you had your lights not on auto but I feel like there probably a workaround.
six banger and lose the red interior. Why have a color in the interior. Jeep even got rid of that in the Rubicon. Geez
Not sure I would buy anything less than a Tahoe/Yukon. I’m iffy.
That thing is huge! It’s 204” 😂😂😂😂
Largest unibody SUV on sale now. Previous gen was actually about the same size, but this new more squared off design really highlights its size better.
@@jakes5530my neighbor has an older one, looks completely different and smaller despite still being the same length!
Our Jeep Grand Cherokee L is bigger than
4 cylinder and only 24 mpg hwy? My 2020 Silverado RST 4x4 crew cab gets 23. What a joke.
I had a new Silverado and I guarantee it didn't average 23mpg lol
@@ryanhicks5063 I didn't say average. That is highway. I recently got 26.6 on a 50 mile drive at 55-60mph. best 30.6. Its still on the dash. Usually average 18.3. Im in a rural area.
Lost me at 2.5 Turbo.
That 4 cylinder is a deal breaker for me
60 k for a 4 cylinder 💰💰💰💩🤣... I like it , but not close to 60 k like it , thanks for the content Boss !
Get one in a year for $40-45
Meh! Great review though!
If u look at those awful taillights from the rear 3/4 view it looks like a snake opening its mouth. GM cannot for the life of it build good looking taillights.
Might as well buy a Silverado for that price at
Not everyone wants a truck.... Duh
. Duh… how original you sound like a 2 year old
My dad had a saying, a polished turd is still a turd. every time i see a GM vehicle below a Tahoe/1/2 ton truck i think of it. Planned obsolescence at it’s finest.
Im not the biggest GM fan, but at least theyre trying. Similar spec Tahoe is $75k+. This looks pretty good, has great tech and features, and is basically the same size as a Tahoe but for $20k less.
Now do I trust it? Not really. But I dont know that Id trust a Ford/Jeep/Hyundai/Kia equivalent any more. Really would have to go Toyota or Honda to rest easy…
BEN Hardy I am very surprised that you have said that about giving Chevrolet CRAP........about the rear lights....I was told that all the designers went to the same design schools. How about Ford coppying the bed steps from GM . That 2.5 L. Is the 2.7L with a bit of the engine detuned. With SIDI turbo aka same as what BMW does to their engines, slot of people say it's about time they did this. How about the air vents that started on the Audi dash, which just about all manufacturers copped.😮
Dodge started the rear lights years ago and everyone else copied slowly
How can you make such a great vehicle with such a bad engine and transmission 🤦🏻♂️ gm common seriously wake up
$54K for a 4 cylinder? I’m out.
