Not only that but did you spot inquisitor cal?! Modders have done that and they’re still doing it too! I’m still not going to be fooled or convinced by EA but BF2 and JFO have been solid. Especially after BF2 got itself out of that micro-transaction mess.

We've all been hoping for this
Too many comments in Fallen order videos that said "Wish there was an arena mode for the game or something" and "Wish I could play wearing the inquisitor Cal costume". This FREE update gives us exactly that and it proves that respawn listens to her fans. Also I see this as a big thank you for supporting their game. They could totally move on the next instalment since fallen order is already a success but they decided to give us this update.

people are too quick to forgive, ea is still very much an awful company. I have the game pirated (because of course i wont pay ea a single dime until they fully change even if the game's good) and i wont even bother with downloading the new update. sure it's nice, but its not that big of a deal. I do hope ea continues in this path of becoming less greedy tho!
@@kvproductions2581 I mean IMO I doubt they're gonna do something like BF's 2 MTX again considering how major the backlash was and the fact that they got investigated by a government. Like BF V doesn't have anything like what BF 2 had, the only MTX are for unlocking skins (which is really that unique amongst most Multiplayer shooters).
@@ianbailey4213 EA's ultimate goal is to monetize everything as much as they can while giving the least content in exchange. they WILL try again, and even if not, battlefront was still mediocre. the star cards were a boring awful mechanic, there were only a handful of weapons, there was a ton less content than in the old game even though its made by a much bigger company and with better tech, there are no private servers or mods, which is awful and stops fans from improving the game (no the stupid reskins don't count as mods, i mean mods like in the OG battlefront)
that's just the objective downs, if you want my opinion, i also find the abilities stupidly arcadey and the gameplay really shallow and boring. It's not a BAD game, it's ok, but it is very "meh" and fans deserve better. EA could've done a lot better if they actually gave a fuck
@@kvproductions2581 They want to make money, yes, but part of making money is reputation and appeal. Investors don't want to deal with the drama of a company being massively disliked and unpopular, let alone being the one that started to get fucking governments talking about regulations for MTX.
Will they try it again? Maybe, but it won't be for awhile when you consider how much of a stink it caused. Companies have other ways of reliably getting money, like MTX's for event skins or season passes. If we were to see something like BF MTX I would bet on it being more likely to come from a different company like Blizzard.
I never played early battlefront so I can't comment on what it was like with star cards or balance, only where it is now, though I will say the lack of initial content has to do more with how complicated/ making game making has gotten. Tech has gotten better certainly but the cost hasn't been offset as much, especially with the photorealistic tech Dice was using for the game (although the fact that it was pushed for the coincidal release of Episode 8 didn't help)
Weapon options I think are fine. All the current weapons serve distinct purposes and I'd prefer that over there being a lot of weapons that did the same thing. Star cards are nice because they can help you tailor your play style and make you distinctive from people playing the same class,

Battlefront 2 had a shitton of free updates. Granted it was after their money-grubbing tactics almost completely tanked the game, but they did their part to right their mistakes.
Here's hoping it's a sign that things are starting to change over at EA. Probably too good to be true, but they're low key on a roll right now.

The battlefront 2 news is awful but I'll give credit where it's due and say well played for letting respawn add more to such a great single player game.
yeah. Also adds sales to the game. Since the game has been out for a while and the price is lower(cause its on sale right now), they are gonna get a bunch of new purchases. So new content = new purchases. just makes sense. tbh I wouldn't mind if they added multiplayer now(like what CD projekt RED is doing with multiplayer. Making it after the game comes out). Make it more lightsaber focused. Would be cool.

Caio Canto there’s a lot more wrong with the game than that. I would love to see a sequel with improved combat mechanics, better story, more endgame content (or not I don’t really care), better bosses, and better animations. Don’t really care about customization because it’s a story game that doesn’t really need it much.

I'm not sure. Some people have said you need to complete the game to unlock them. I'd already done so, and they were in the saber customisation screen when I went into new Journey+.

@CRW why being mad? Battlefront II May had a weak start, but has developed and evolved since then. It's a solid game now. Even though there will be no new content, that doesn't mean the game is dead.

First, can you access Combat Challenges exclusively in New Journey+, or can you play them in your old save? (Edit: You can access in your old save.)
Second, can you have multiple New Journey+ save files connected to the same main save, or can there be only be one New Journey+ save attached to a save? (Edit: Still haven’t tried this yet.) (Edit 2: Thank you Aubin Arozeno. Also your English is fine. The answer is yes, thanks.)
