- A Canadian-made documentary on abuse and missing children at the Indian Residential School near Williams Lake, B.C., was nominated for an Oscar last week.
Sugarcane is also a personal story for co-director Julian Noise Bravecat, whose family attended the school.
Bravecat and co-director Emily Kassie share their thoughts on the nomination.
