      Lauren Frances Hair Lauren, I don’t see the videos with bangs. Would the One-step blowout styler work okay on my bangs? They are to the top of my eyes. They’ve been getting thinner and I have a high forehead so don’t wear it all split down the middle like I used to...

      I feel like the Hot Tools only has more tension because it is newer... Maybe? I noticed that the bristles on my Revlon are a bit all over the place after 1 year of use... Could that be a possibility?

    I’ve been using the Revlon one for a while now and just bought the Hot Tools one on your recommendation! I have naturally curly 2C/3A hair and I really like how much more grip the Hot Tools one gives me. It also feels like I get a much smoother end result than with the Revlon!

    I thought the Revlon side looks shinier. I have that tool and I love it. I have very straight hair but it definitely provides some lift and structure to my hair without having to switch hands constantly and juggle the dryer and the brush, changing positions etc. The only thing I don't like is the noise it produces. I have a sister who is deaf so I'm probably more aware of loud noises close to my ears than the average person. So today for the first time I used earplugs and that helped a lot.

  • @VAL702

    I have both of these and I absolutely agree that the hot tools has a better grip to the hair which in turn contributes to a smoother blow out because the hair is gripped tighter.

    I have both of these models so I was very curious about your opinion! Personally I like the Hot Tools model better because of the Boar Bristles, it makes a huge difference in the grip on the hair as you mentioned. The one thing I don’t like about the Hot Tools is that the High setting is ridiculously scorching while the Low setting is just warm, if I left it on Low it would take forever to dry. I’m going to try rough drying it with my regular dryer beforehand as you recommended. Great video! I actually ended up giving away my Revlon to my hairstylist, as she had never tried one of these types of stylers before.

    Just purchased the 24k Hot Tools dryer/brush on Amazon. Been researching and watching a lot of reviews for both product lines. Both good reviews for both but HT got me sold by the final outcome of others ladies blowouts. It just seems like HT does a completely better finish than the Revlon. Even your your end finish looks so much better on the HT side. Again appreciate your review and demo!

    Great video! I just got the Revlon one and for some reason I am not liking the results. I have really thick wavy hair and I feel like the Revlon makes my hair more poofy and not as smooth as when I air dry my hair and use my flat iron. Also the ends of my hair look better with my flat iron. They are sleeker and I can put a curve to it. The Revlon seemed to make my ends look weird lol I am going to keep trying it or maybe I will try the hot tools one. Maybe I'm not doing it right 😂😂😂 I have been doing my hair for a long time though. Maybe I am just a flat iron kinda girl. I also think mine might be defective because it doesn't get hot at all and everyone says how hot it gets. So idk. Love the comparison though!

      I think it has to do with the high heat on both models. The low speed was too low and didn’t do anything for my hair. I have coarse thin curly hair. After the using the hot tools twice I noticed a ton of breakage by the crown of my head. I returned right away. The revlon damaged my ends after using about 10 times. It was really disappointing since they are super convenient and did a great blowout.

    I’m curious to see how the Revlon is over time. I’ve been using mine for a long time and thinking it’s the reason my hair is so dry?

  • @sabinahertzum9728

    I missed a “what’s the same and what’s differently”comparison in this video... it’s hard to tell from the sped up video...
    You mentioned the bristle on the hot tool, but what is it that makes it grip better?
    I love comparison videos, but more information is always better....
    I had a hard time seeing if the difference between the two were because the tool was different ( and how) or if it was because you didn’t do it excactly the same on each side....
    The hottools side you went in with bigger chunks from the beginning, and because of your sidepart that side had more hair in general.... for a realistic comparison you could have sectioned off the top of your hair and compared the sides with equal amounts of hair....
    The reason why I’m mentioning this is because when I was watching for the ‘grippynes’ of the two tools, it didn’t really seem that different, both tools had hair that loosened and fell out during, maybe you felt that way because the hair was generally longer on the hottools side....

    Hi, could someone please tell me which one you found to be more long lasting? The Revlon is cheaper, but I keep hearing that the motor will give out or the bristles will break. Is this the same case for the Hot Tools?

    Did you notice a difference in amount of heat in highest settings? My revlon gets sooo hot, so I’m wondering if the hot tools is the same.

    • @LaurenFrancesHair
      @LaurenFrancesHair  4 года назад +11

      07tishtash hey! I would say it is the same. The reason being because you have hot air that is blowing against metal, which is also a heat conductor so it will definitely get hot. I recommend using the cool setting on every section. It sets the hair, and it allows it to cool down before the next section. So you aren’t overheating!

    Would it be too much to use the Revlon and go over it with a Flatiron? i have thick coarse hair. Or will this alone do the trick?

    • @LaurenFrancesHair
      @LaurenFrancesHair  4 года назад

      Jennifer Trevino so a lot of people think it takes the place of a flat iron which it does not. So if they want that super straight look, you will always have to use both! This will only smooth out curl and reduce friz for someone with thick curly/ frizzy hair! So if you want it super straight definitely use a flat iron!

      LoveMachine :] yeah! So I highly recommend prettying your roots with a normal blow dryer! Then use this tool to smooth the midshaft and ends! At the end of this video I use the tlw oil to tame flyaways and add a tiny bit of shine! It is a lightweight oil that I put on my hands and lightly dust the top of my hair with it! I linked it in the description! And it’s super affordable and smells good! 🙌🏻
