    HTC and Sony are the two most underrated companies ever. both are great phone but the xz premium takes the slight edge for me for the headphone jack, display, battery, and software. and camera if you learn to use manual mode

      MrWalker1000 And it records videos in 60 FPS as opposed to HTC 30 fps :O

      more expensive but better overall. XZ premium has good sound quality as well

      completely agreed, alot of people use "samsung" and "android" interchangebly , as if its the same thing . It's not their fault, it's just that it's all they know, and it dominates the market. It's unfortunate that people don't know about the other companies that make amazing phones like sony and htc. All they know is samsung and apple

      people are sheep so they are easily swayed by populairty, advertisements etc.

      The *U11* however is both CDMA and GSM compatible, whereas the Sony is only GSMA. The HTC "Sense" is another continual draw to the brand. HTC & Sony are my two choice brands over a/thing else in the marketplace. *EDIT to my post* ...the HTC with all it's apps is the most customizable phone out there, and as far as the difference in battery size, there's not enuf difference to really measure. People don't run their batteries down to *ZERO* unless by accident.

    both phones are amazing much better than the s8 and + for me camera looks better imo and the features are amazing the only thing i dont like about the htc u11 is the lack of 3.5mm jack (i know that in the future we might not care about this but i do ) and the squeeze shortcuts isnt my favorite thing on sony side i am actually quite bored with the desing all my sony devices (not counting erricson) have the exact design so its kind of boring but i love that it looks stylish as always would love a new design though but i like bezels cuz they are practical gives you a place for your thumbs.

    im curious about the passion some of you have for a pocket telephone / computer?

      havocproltd Why?

    • @havocproltd
      @havocproltd 7 лет назад +1

      well, curiosity is it's own answer but to be more succinct....
      a phone, a gee-whiz pocket computer are handy and cool things.
      but holy katz! some of you need to get out of the house. You, tariq, yeah, maybe you're making a couple cents on the click but come on! I'm a professional videographer and photographer and don't get as twisted about cameras as some of these people get about cameras on a PHONE!! I was in Honalulu last year and I was walking around holding my D810 up to my head and talking into it. no one gets the joke.
      And i won't even touch the whole bevel - no bevel circle-jerk!
      In any event, Im supposed to get my XZ premo on sunday. Wanna know why? I shoot a Sony a6300 in 4k when the need arises. I make my own 4k content. zipping that from camera to phone sounds like a no brainer......
      any more questions?
      woo hoo!

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад

      +Ihab Khalil I can't make a direct comparison, but it looks like it's on par with XZ which means it's bright enough and natural.

    • @ihabkhalil9854

      Quick Expert Reviews well that's my only concern because I always take pictures in dark places like clubs.. and I had the first Xperia Z and it was awful.. now im using S6.. but I really love to get the XZP.. if you send me some photos using the flash.. it would be much appreciated.. thank u for the quick reply :)

    • @usmantariq7997

      Usman Tariq yea i know what u mean because i got the galaxy s6 and it's amazing at night when i use the flash... though I want to change the brand :D because the s8 looks similar to s6.. and I like the Sony.. Ill try to take photos in the store using XZp and decide .. thanks:)

    As someone who worries about battery life, and REAR camera performance, which of these two do you recommend?

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад +1

      +Hariz Nonis In regards to rear camera what kind of picture taking are we talking about? Premium is better for moving objects and pictures in poor weather conditions, where U11 is better in low light due to f1.7 aperture. In terms of battery life, Premium is waaaay better, wins hands down, and that's even before you put on stamina mode.

    • @hariznonis
      @hariznonis 7 лет назад

      Quick Expert Reviews I just want a camera that captures details better, and is sharper overall. The Xperia camera tends to be noisy, especially in low light. But if the battery life is that much better, than I'll have to make a tough decision.

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад +2

      +Hariz Nonis I had Xperia handsets since Z, up until XZ Premium now. They've fixed the noise and purple haze issue with XZ already, but I have to admit that they've mastered this with XZ Premium. It really makes a lot of difference. The U11 camera sensor is very similar to S8 unit. Now I know that S8 captures more light, however what I don't like about Samsung phones, is that the pictures look very soft, like "milky soft" lol

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад

      +MrWalker1000 There was a video on XZ Premium that was showing off 4K and HDR however I found it pointless as I wasn't capable to record at 4K with the equipment I've got, but I'll try and source something to do it :)

    • @MrWalker1000

    • @MrWalker1000

      alright thanks. Display is another one of those big things that needs to be compared just like the camera. since I would argue they both have the best display technology.

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад

      +Maky Jaki Tv I personally went for XZ Premium. I used to be HTC fan and that screen is brilliant, but not in the same league as 4K HDR Display on XZ Premium.

    • @markozigo1623
      @markozigo1623 6 лет назад

      Quick Expert Reviews Its true Htc phones have been the best before.I remember the htc one x beast but today it is lagging behind.

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  6 лет назад

      +Maky Jaki Tv I've started my whole Android journey with HTC Desire and HTC Sensation. Always preferred them over, let's say, Samsung. My last HTC was One M7 which I've loved. I couldn't afford One X back then but absolutely loved it. But got M7 later on and never regretted it. U11 is absolutely mind blowing, and with recent updates (1080@60) it's really where it has to be, but I prefer HDR screen and DualShock 4 native support over squeezing my phone to launch the camera. 4K is nice on the handset but the screen is still too small to truly embrace it. Luckily the Oreo update on XZ Premium has further enhanced the speakers so they're waaay louder. Not yet on par with, HTC but definitely getting there.

  • @selfproclaimednobody4614
    @selfproclaimednobody4614 7 лет назад

    The HTC U11 only comes with 4 gigs of ram and the Sony XZ premium is 4k all the time ,not only in 4k situations! I know you slipped up a little and caught yourself saying that HTC has ever had an AMOLED screen technology ! Gotta right a script for yourself to at least keep track brother! Good review comparison though

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад

      +Chris Gardner Thanks Chris! I do like a good criticism, as it allows me to grow :)
      Truth be told, I forgot the model name when I mentioned HTC, but HTC A9 was the one I wanted to mention, as it has an AMOLED screen.
      XZ Premium is not 4K all the time sadly, it's only on when 4K content is played, exactly the same way Z5 Premium was, even though Snapdragon 835 could potentially be able to have it on constantly. And that's official Sony UK statement (which doesn't mean they can't be wrong, but that's where I obtain my info from).
      I love the script idea, thank you Brother!

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад

      +Chris Gardner And yes you're absolutely right about 4GB of RAM which can be even seen in the video. Missed the "6GB on selected Asian markets", bit.

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад

      +kyriakos The S8+ single mono speaker is louder than XZ Premium, but it lacks bass, it lacks "punch". And obviously it's a single speaker that's easily covered by the palm of your hand.

      @@QuickExpertReviews True, but I know of nobody with a glass back phone that doesn't have a case on it. And I'm baffled why companies even make 'em with the glass back really...they're always covered with a case because they're too slippery and they would need to be continually wiped off after each use!

      +Trish S I went for XZ Premium, I can't have a phone that's not capable of recording videos in 60 FPS. I also went for Premium due to DualShock 4 pairing. I know 4K on a phone is a gimmick but I prefer this, rather than squeezing my handset. On top of this I'm in the same boat with pictures. But it all obviously depends on one needs :)

      jad hzim agree, I've always loved HTC for that. ironically, the early HTC phones were plagued with audio problems. i remember my MDA was horrid , and the sequel to that phone also had major issues. I was so happy when they fixed it because they went above and beyond :)
      p.S. my HTC m8 is my favorite so far, but we'll see if that lasts after I get the u11 ;)

    • @QuickExpertReviews
      @QuickExpertReviews  7 лет назад +3

      +dreanki I was always an hTC fanboy, had MDA Vario, HTC TyTN, HTC Desire, HTC Sensation, HTC One M7 (that had AMAZING speakers), but then I jumped ship on to Sony Z, Z1, Z2, Z3, Z5, X, XZ, XZ Premium, and never looked back. As an overall package Sony is more suitable for me, but that's me :) Love U11 sound quality

      Quick Expert Reviews admittedly, I've never used another brand except for briefly using friends phones. but personally, htc's designs and options are usually aligned with my needs and wants. I still haven't found a phone I'm willing to give up HTC for, not for lack of looking though.
