Kurt appeared to present Willie with an award as Kurt's album, which featured a duet with Willie had sold 90,000 copies in Norway.
As far as I know this is only the 2nd time they have been seen on stage together in Norway.
There was no rehearsal for this, but that makes it kinda special.
The video is a bit rough since the venue was packed.
Been a Willie Nelson fan from birth. The man is a master songwriter and valiant freedom fighter. Stumbled across Kurt Nilsen a few days ago. His voice is fantastic; the range, style, emotion and tone! They can't play his music in shops cause everyone stops shopping and stands dumbfounded.

i had the same reaction when i heard him sing "hallelujah" not a country song, but when he opens up and pushes into his upper range, i say, i say, boy, where you from? Tennessee, maybe? Norway? Nah! He's obviously listened to a lot of country. With the right hat and boots on he'd blow out the doors in Nashville & the Country Music biz.
Since we heard that Kurt Nilsen and Tommy Kristiansen are coming to SXSW in Austin, Texas in March 2014 we have started a fan page for them called "Kurt Nilsen and Tommy Kristiansen United States fans" please like our page!

I was also lucky enough to be at the Hamar show two years ago when Kurt joined Willie for the first ever live performance of Lost Highway. That was a properly rehearsed event and it was magic.
u just hear the guy in the background as soon as kurts start singing.. oooooaohhh.. that sais it all xD kurt is a beast when it come's to singing

Kurt was brilliant, considering he didn't know that he was going to sing until he was on stage. Kurt and Willie have a rather special friendship. Both nice guys. :)

Been listening to alot of Kurts singing and his voice is awesome but he always sings "too fast". He needs to chill and feel the music.
