This was so helpful! I was searching all over to find what a cubic yard ACTUALLY looks like, and this was perfection. Thanks for putting it up. I hope your business has thrived the last 6 years.
I really appreciate you showed both on the truck and the tarp! We will need a little more than I thought because we are doing large pine bark nuggets. Wish we lived closer to your company.
Thank you for the visuals! I wanted to make sure I know exactly how big a pile I will have to haul by hand from the front driveway to the backyard before I commit. This is incredibly helpful!
I live near a sawmill and they heaping load my pickups or trailers for $10 with once shred of oak or walnut, generally. It turns to black gold within 2-3 years and I don't have to mow during that time. My fruit trees and dogs love it and it helps with rain runoff to my neighbors.
A Full size truck can carry that easy. I have an F-250 Crew Cab with a short bed. I added two 500 pound support springs($69 Kit) to my rear axle and carry two yards of gravel or two yards of sand all the time. I added the coil springs because I wanted a little more support to assist my leaf springs. I used my truck to transport ten yards of gravel and four yards of sands when recently installing a 32 foot galvanized culvert. I would have ordered 18 yards of gravel, but the culvert was not installed yet and had no way for the dump truck to get on the property. Now the culvert is finished, we can get on with installing our driveway and clearing a paddock area for camping while working on the property. Very good video guys, and very informative.
Tyler MacConnell maybe not bright for you to do. Adding the Support springs makes the difference for my truck and your fear of doing something that is totally safe when done by someone who knows what they are doing, means it is completely fine for them. I have been driving trucks most of my life. With the two yards of aggregate and all my tools, the tires do not bag or sag and its not bottoming out on the axle, in fact the new added coil springs are barely touching. I and other guys in my town do this all the time for decades and decades and never a story about someone having an issue. Some use air support systems, some leaf-spring add on's and some coil springs like I used.
Awesome video to see EXACTLY what 1 yard and 2 yards of mulch looks like! That is just what I needed to know! Thank you so much for the great video! I don't know who disliked the video, or why, but it was awesome! Great job!
Wayne Bishop if you have your own truck just buy it by the cubic yard, unload the first one and see where youre at. You can really only fit one yard at a time in a regular pickup truck bed. Maybe 2 if your loader is skilled, you probably lose some on the drive home though.
haha. Yeah, but seriously, there are foreign bot farms all over and their main focus is to downvote anything having to do with America, etc. They're POS.
1 cubic yard isnt much, i get ten yard loads dumped here all the time and they give me great size loads, but ten yards doesnt go very far! Very honest video, even tells you they have damaged customer vehicles loading before! But like he said they have loaded 1000's, its bound to happen with humans! At least they only load you with a 1 yard bucket. The yard here uses a massive bucket, gotta be at least 5 yards, they fill the bucket, slowly tilt it until your 1 or 2 yard load is dumped. Imagine if they accidently dumped the load too fast, joystick stuck... etc, the whole 5 yards of gravel could really do some damage being dropped into a 1/2 ton
Very well put. Thanks for showing this I've tryed to explain it customer. No one I know dos this for it customers. Good for you .its awesome you do this.
I estimated 4 loads like this and ended up with 50 😆. I used so mulch last season that I get a bulk discount. So far I'm at 80 yards this year. They bring it in 20 yard dump trucks.
Well holy shit... now I know what to expect when the dude comes by today and delivers 4.5 cubic yards of mulch...didn't realize how much that actually was
I LIKE IT. Thumbs up, BIG ! ! My truck bed is 2.005 Cubic feet. Lowes Hardware swiped my debit card three times because twice it didn't take (I have receipts still). So I paid for a product three times over. Lowes honesty (Big No). My bank (can't name it or I will be prosecuted for telling the truth) said they couldn't do anything about it. Railroaded twice. Home Depot has 4 self checkouts and one live clerk to force customers to work for free by self checking out and then cutting employees. So home Depot is also not operating fairly.Vomit situations.
Oh NO! Too bad! I hope somebody has got your back. God always evens things our for me when others cheat me. He promises to pay it back to us as long as we actively honor His law and don't cheat others!
Good video. I've heard it all over the years. One delivery will suggest the last time 1 cubic yard filled their entire 7x12' dump trailer & the next wants to argue another angle. Don't risk being generous by giving extra to anyone or else they'll say you shorted them the next time. I try & reason that a cubic yard is a real measurement, 3' cubed, duh.
OUTSTANDING! 50' away when he loads the truck! No seriously thank you its one thing to talk dimensions but its difficult to understand 3'x3'x3' or 3 1'x1'x1' cubs stacked next to each other, most people understand the size of a pickup bed if you would have said it was a short bed or long bed truck or full size truck or mini truck but combined with the tarp that seals the deal. The tarp would represent what it would look like on your driveway in a pile. Now what more help would be how many yards would it take to lay down on a 1500 CF lawn 1/2" thick or lets say a 10,000 cf lawn A dump truck load might just be the way to go, if you get too much you can store the extra until next season in your compost pile. Why risk damage to your truck? Well if that's the way you think Why buy a truck? Go buy a car they get better gas milage. Trucks are made to move hual and tote items around its not a cadillac. If you drive a truck to an office every day to park and work inside your destroying the planet for no good reason trucks are no safer than cars are.
bobbg you'd be good as long as you were sitting in the driver seat before he pours it lol. Otherwise you couldn't climb in/clear enough to reach the pedals.
The savages that I go to don’t give a damn about their customers trucks, they dump the mulch all over and I’ve seen when they’ve actually hit the truck with the scoop.
Thank you. There are plenty of calculators online for how much my garden needs, but I really wanted a visual. This video is perfect.
exatlcy why im here
This was so helpful! I was searching all over to find what a cubic yard ACTUALLY looks like, and this was perfection. Thanks for putting it up. I hope your business has thrived the last 6 years.
Perfect! I know your video is 10 yrs old, but it EXACTLY answered all of my questions. 💯 Thank you!
Thank you very much for posting this video. I know it was posted almost ten years ago, but it is just what I was looking for.

That's some beautiful mulch; REALLY, really nice looking.

Putting 4500lbs of weight in the bed of a 3/4 ton truck is not that bright.

Beautiful. I'm a relatively new homeowner and have had no clue how to estimate this. Thanks for the detailed video!

@@csmith6237 Why you have a tarp
@@EliteStricker cuz it'll blow away otherwise. Plus, some jurisdictions may require legally to have your truck tarped down the road.
@@RS-ol8or Yea I know, you can possibly get a ticket especially if on the highway and mulch, or rocks spilling everywhere
Been figuring out for days. Finally, I know how much I am going to get. Thanks a lot.
This video was very helpful, it allowed me to see what 1 and 2 cubic yards of mulch look like. Very interesting and helpful video...Thank you!
Having the visual was such a great reference, thank you!
34 Dislikes are from Lowe's and Home depot
John Gallo lol
LOL!!!!
haha. Yeah, but seriously, there are foreign bot farms all over and their main focus is to downvote anything having to do with America, etc. They're POS.
From a guy that use to work at Lowe’s in outside lawn and garden I would most defiantly encourage everybody to get their mulch from this place.
lmao
Having the visual was very helpful; thanks for making this video!
Thank you for the visual reference. It helped me a lot.

Nice visualization. Just what I needed. Thanks!
This is a really helpful service. Home Depot was definitely trying to tell me I need 10 cubic yrds of playground mulch for my kids playset. 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to help
Great video, and super helpful.
This was extremely helpful! Thank you so much
Very well put. Thanks for showing this I've tryed to explain it customer. No one I know dos this for it customers. Good for you .its awesome you do this.
This video is perfect!!! all my measuring and paper/pencil calculations can't compare to the visual. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this visual. I am about to order river rocks ans this helped more than you know. I wish you were in my area.
Thank you for making this video! Just what I needed to see!
Thank you so much for this video! Nothing helps calculate it like actually seeing it on video. This was very helpful!
Thank You! I always believe buying local is the way to go.
Thanks for the video. I bought a small dump trailer an want to start offering mulch installation.
Thank you for the visual!
Wanted to see how much a cubic yard was. This was perfect. Thanks!
Very nice and informative. Think about all those bags.. this is great!
Thank You. Was just trying to figure out how much I could get into my Colorado. this helps.
This was Incredibly helpful. Thank you so much.
Thank you for explaining this. This helped me out a lot!!!!!
It's hard to imagine how much mulch to order for the average homeowner.
Exactly! For one job I ordered 40 yards of mulch! Way too much! Had I seen this video, I could have ordered much less!
@@RiechCruz 40 yards of mulch?!?!? lol were you trying to landscape your entire neighborhood? gwiz
This was super helpful! Thank you
This video is very helpful. Thank you
Great video! Thanks for sharing this. I just developed a flower garden in my backyard and I now know exactly how much mulch I need!
Thanks! This was just what I needed.
Thank you so much for making this video. This is exactly what I wanted to know.
That was a surprisingly helpful video.
Not all loader drivers and company's are nice enough to carefully fill pick up trucks like in the video. Don't get your hopes up
Fantastic visual thanks!
Thank you. Nice visual!
much appreciation for showing this!
Thanks for this. It really helped me to determine how much clean fill I will need for my home project!
Great video. Informative for a first time home owner.
GREAT video!
Thx so much . Gave me great idea of how much I might need for my project.
A compact truck like our Ranger is good with one yard of material. A utility trailer is what we typically use though.
Thank you. This is a great help!
Really good job sir. I thank you for explaining everything. Yeah, think of a 3 foot by 3 foot cube. Thank you again.
Excellent! Thank you so much!
Good video, good information. Always wondered what a yard of mulch meant. Thanks.
Exactly what i needed to know! Thanks for the informative video!

Use it for like wood hot link and sometimes we pick up leaves and put it in the back
Thank you for this video.
I found out the hard way. I bought one yard with a Toyota pickup. It was so heavy that the tires were rubbing the bed. I had to take 2 trips!
Did it weigh down your Toyota pickup truck
Thanks!
I wonder if a huge boulder will fit in the back of that Ranger?

I like to know what happens when truck arrives at my driveway. Do they dump it into my yard or do I need a place to hold it ?
Yeh I yard is pretty big, I was only able to fit half a yard on my Toyota Tacoma
Has a blue version of that f250 this is an 05 it's on RUclips on my channel I have videos of it
How do you dump 2 cubic yards of mulch into a 2001 celica with that loader?
Its got a sunroof will that help?

When in doubt, just get more.
Is it possible to spread around 18 cubit yards of mulch single handedly around a 30x55' area in 1 day?? One guy??
Thank you! very helpful.

What is the price for 1 cubic yard of mulch?
texasleo123 down in Houston its about $35 a yard
The savages that I go to don’t give a damn about their customers trucks, they dump the mulch all over and I’ve seen when they’ve actually hit the truck with the scoop.
typically, how much does one yard of mulch weigh? I am wanting to transport it in my f150 and wanted to make sure it wasn't too. much weight.
It is typically 600-800 lbs. One yard should definitely be fine for an f150!
Very useful!
Thank you - now I know.
good man, thank you
