does that still apply if I'm only six years younger than you..... and I was listening to Pink Floyd for the millionth time wearing an old torn Speedo at the beach today? I don't think so.
You remind me so much to my former wife who is from the Ivory Coast because she detected by looking the CSI series the music of The Who another brilliant British rock band also founded in the 60s like Pink Floyd. She is also very young and it was her first contact to the rock music from the past and she was also fascinated and didn't know how old this music was. I love it if your generation will let live these musical gems for the future it's a treasure of mankind!
I really like seeing your reactions, Sara, because seeing the pleasure with which you listen to the music that I also love, feeds me back to my 65 years of age. Thank you. Greetings from Mexico.
Your soulfull feelings and reaction and stunning beauty, soul and apperance is just wonderful, I´ve been crying for 48 years to this anthem of the millenium...
Ahh the music of my youth. I was lucky enough to see them twice. The Animals Tour in 1979? and the early 80’s. Mesmerizing live performances. And yes it touches your soul
I can see from your reactions that you really like Pink Floyd's music and I'm not surprised. I am 56 years old and I have been listening to them thanks to my father and cousin since I was ten years old. Welcome to a huge community of fans from all over the world... I consider this song an absolute masterpiece and a musical gem!
Masterpiece. They were masters at letting the music breathe which is remarkable compared to the engineering of sound available today. I'm glad you reacted to the studio version.
"They were masters at letting the music breathe..." Splendid observation. I would never have come up with that description, but it is both accurate and eloquent. Thank you Randy!👍
In 200 years time or more, people will still play this and be astounded at its brilliance, just as we now do for the great composers of the last few centuries, an absolute musical masterpiece, heard it 47 years ago upon its release, still has the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, just love seeing young people dig it too.
My most vivid memory is seeing Pink Floyd live in 1977 at Madison Square Garden during their “animals” tour! As well as Led Zeppelin the same year, same place. Both life changing epic events
I am 70. I started listening when they came out with Meddle in the late 60's. Now I have everything they put out. Studio. Live. DVD. Love this song live.
Pink Floyd is the rollercoaster of emotion. I feel I am experiencing old feelings again by watching your love of hearing these songs , hope and joy to you mi lady from bonny Scotland.
As much as I enjoy this, there is a song called "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls" by the great Pat Metheny which is over 20 minutes long. Simply pure genius and my favorite track to Center me. Not to say one is better than the other, it's just a personal Favorite of mine and just wanted to share with others who have never heard it. Peace
My favorite Floyd song. Bought the album the day after it was released. Put it on the turntable and was amazed at how great an album it was. The slow fade in and build into the main part of the song is still amazing all these years later. A beautiful and heart felt "Love Letter" to their fallen leader Syd Barret.
Good on you, doing the whole side, just as Floyd meant us all to listen to their albums. And providing the lyrics too! What a great morning you're giving to your faithful and new watchers!!! The lp cover, on your screen, shows 2 (music industry) businessmen making "a deal"... One is always BURNING the other (and the stuntman actually got injured doing the photo shoot!). Others may write about the famous founder, Syd Barrett, and his several connections to the writing of the album, by the incomparable Roger Waters... With this kind of content, you will continue to see your subs go rapidly up, regardless of being speechless, or what goes on in the comments!
God I loved your reaction. Pink Floyd has always been my all-time favorite band and you could see the music touching your soul. Thanks for your review.
...their "Magnum Opus" for me, space, emotions, sound, lyrics, music, ...everything has it's place in this 40 minute masterpiece. Saw them with the "animals" tour in 1976, my first concert at the age of 15 and still loving them. Glad to see younger people recognize and feel the "music" which was made 5O years ago. Gives me hope.....
Most Pink Floyd songs or their music always leaves you speechless. Sometimes they can punch you in the gut hard, they dig out your emotions memories etc...
Nothing cheers up a music fan as much as watching someone else get their first "Floydgasm". Welcome to the club. And by the way, when someone asks "How long is the song?", the answer is "Never long enough."
It is clear from your Viewing figures that this channel must now become the Sarah Dengler Pink Floyd channel! You get everything right, you do not interrupt the Music, you listen and more importantly feel the music and you have a beautiful soul. Time for Animals yet? if you are not ready then a little Division Bell will make your day :)
Oh, what a wonderful rabbit hole you've fallen into :D As an old music nerd, it's nice to see someone listen to this for the first time. Almost makes me feel young again (almost).
My favorite band of all time. Try and listen to their albums from beginning to end as many of them are concept albums like reading a novel. If you listen to one song on its own it’s like picking up a book and starting on chapter 10. They are the most unique and creative band of all time. Pure brilliance
Glad you hear and reacted to one of my favorite songs for over 40 years. I felt those tingles you experience and I really enjoy watching younger generations enjoy songs without using the f__k words. Thanx
Took the words right out of my keyboard. There are a lot of bands that write music, but I wouldn't necessarily call them artists. What Pink Floyd created here, is as much art as anything I've ever experienced. Seems the older I get, the more clearly I can see the level of sophistication in their work.
Great reaction...thanks for not pausing this masterpiece and including the lyrics...nice touch, I like it. Have a listen to Wish You Were Here, the live Pulse version of Coming to Life, Sorrow, High Hopes, etc.
Watching Pink Floyd comfortably numb live is a completely different experience! And it warms my heart to see you digging this band just as many other people have done throughout the years..
When they originally recorded this song in the studio a homeless looking man came into the studio control room off the street. He said nothing and quietly watched. Eventually one of the older engineers asked the guy next to him "You know who that is don't you?". No who is it? That's Sid. Founding member Sid Barrett came into the studio to watch. Sid left the band because of mental health problems and spent a chunk of his life institutionalized. Pink Floyd was a very different band with him than without. This song was a tribute to him.
You reacted so deeply to the song, the notes and passages as this went along and developed. Words don't apply in some cases when one is quite simply so moved.
Pink Floyd, “Wish You Were”, album you must listen to the whole album it’s a must, also “Dark Side Of The Moon”, Animals, “The Wall”. If you’re going down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole best way to go, listening to the whole albums.
Best band that is no longer touring. Nightwish (Finnish band) is the best band still touring. I rate them the same overall. Pink Floyd was my favorite band ever until I started to listen to Nighwish.
There's something soooo satisfying for someone rapidly approaching geezerdom like myself watching bright young people listening to, loving and feeling the sheer majesty that is Pink Floyd. Great reaction that was clearly genuine, Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you and subbed.
Thank you for bring back a great memory from almost 40 years ago. First time I heard this, I was in a convertible driving through the Arizona desert about 2 in the morning. The scent of blooming cactus, the wind, a good buzz and this song was just amazing.
@@SarahDengler I've read that our sense of smell is the closest sense related to memory, lol. And since certain cacti only bloom at night, it's a rare scent. Thanks for the reply. Your awesome !
Great reaction again Sarah. I enjoy watching people hear this for the first time and be moved by it. I particularly enjoyed noticing this time how Mason on the drums and Waters on the bass play so well in time with each other, feeding the sound with a subtle yet surprising depth. Have a great day :-)
This song is a tribute to Syd Barrett, who founded Pink Floyd, but left the band due to psychological problems (and too many acid trips). There are a lot of references to Syd in the lyrics. E.g. Piper is a reference to the first album " Piper at the Gates of Dawn" where Syd was the driving force in the band.
I love how much you're loving Pink Floyd.

I love how much you love her loving pink floyd. ❤

I am very great fan of Pink Floyd....their music is a drug for me....i love the emotion on your face 😊 PINK 🎵🐄🎼 ❤ 🐷🎶🐑 FLOYD

AMAZING
Their music takes you on a journey to a different place.
It does! Very relatable
The saxophone solo by Richard Parry is so good I thought it must've been Mel Collins. Sublime beautiful tones and ambiance..
And David’s guitarmelody in the back. Magic.
