Here's what Jam pedals say about the Double Dreamer.
Double Dreamer
Description
Creamy tones, detailed response and gain-wide articulation, times two: The Double Dreamer!
Housing our two single overdrive units the Tubedreamer and Lucydreamer under one roof, the Double Dreamer hosts 3 unique key features that offer maximum tone variety, practicality and functionality in the smallest footprint possible while remaining 100% handmade just like all of our designs!
- High-gain-stage footswitch
- 3-way-toggle switch that routes the high-gain-stage footswitch to work with either the Tubedreamer, the Lucydreamer or both
- Internal dip switches that reroute the IN and OUT jacks to work as Send-Returns for each Overdrive side, allowing you to individually engage each side with your switcher, or place them in different points in your signal chain. If you are using a stereo setup you can pair the TD side with one amp and the LD side with another for lush parallel overdrive sounds!
The Tubedreamer (Left Side) is our take on the legendary 808 Tubescreamer with a carefully tuned midrange frequency register delivering a warm and rich overdriven sound through any amp! A pivotal difference between the TD and other Tubescreamers, is that we chose to go with 3 diodes for asymmetrical clipping instead of symmetrical, enhancing the responsiveness of the pedal to fretting and picking nuances. The Tubedreamer employs the JRC4558D chip to deliver its classic sound, just like in the original, sought-after 808’s.
The Lucydreamer (Right Side) is a Dry / Wet overdrive which has less of a mid hump than our Tubedreamer, and allows for more low end to come through. It can track every little nuance of your playing with a wide gain-stage spectrum, ranging from highly dynamic tube- amp-like break-up, all the way to full-bodied high-gain saturation with the assistance of the high-gain-stage footswitch, while effortlessly maintaining chord-voicing clarity! The “secret” chip it bases its sound on, along with its different clipping implementation compared to the TD, allow the Lucydreamer to pair perfectly with the TD adding layers of harmonic content on tap!
Combine the two for new and exciting gain structures and assign the high-gain-stage footswitch to taste, making for up to six different gain-stages accessible in real time!
*The Double Dreamer features soft-click (relay) switching.
The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

Great content. Jam pedals are churning out fantastic stuff-quality, creativity and artistry.
Great demo - sounds great!
Sweet sounding pedal , quite versatile !
Mmmmh very nice demo and smooth defined tones - but are you serious - now I have to convince my master of finances that I need the Pink Flow and the double dreamer
Beautifull Guitar with A Great Clean Tone. Subscribed.
Just realized thanks to you the M is Mix, thought it was Mids, my fuzz sounds so fuller using that knob!👏🏻👋🏼
Never had this on my radar before seeing this video. Looks like my perfect drive pedal...
Check out all of his other videos. They sound exactly the same.
Just found out about jam pedals from Kirk fletcher. Man……what a great tone! But then again you get a great tone on all your videos!
Thankyou sir
Great demo - very helpful and also inspiring. 😎 Appreciated your practical approach of starting with clean sound and then titrating the amount of desired gain. The A-B with the Ibanez was also great. It was doing side by side comparison of the Double Dreamer that led me to purchase it to begin with. Was actually for a cleaner sound on “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton. Whoulda thunk? But it sounded so much better than what I was comparing it with that it carried the day. And like you said, it’s really versatile. Can use for coloring or beefing up pedals downstream in the signal chain, or simply use it on its own.
You have a very good channel. You are an excellent guitar player who knows how to show off gear. Bravo!
Cheers Johnathan.
Yeah he doesn’t get nearly enough credit. He’s one of my favorite guitar players on RUclips. Always tasteful choices of notes and chords, very skillful.
Cheers
Paul...when you recommend a tool...
I listen and put on list to try😉😎👍
5 different and useful gain stages...!!!😎👍
Cheers Richard.
Sounds excellent. Great features. The test chord with your index lifted off and on again sounds like a song called Paper Thin by John Hiatt The tune is from the 80s. Paper Thin is a B side of a hit Perfectly good guitar. I think it was a hit. We liked to play a hit song then the B side. Like White Wedding by Billy Idol then There’s a hole in the wall. Once somebody in a bar recognized it. Thought we were cool man.
Nice one I’ll check it out.
Cheers
Is that a new tele? lovely
I have the jam chorus pedal! It’s simply top notch! The vibrato side is a bit odd but it’s there if you need it :) my favourite drive pedals are by Thorpyfx. I do own a tube screamer and I never use it! a lot of pedals have bettered it to be honest
What amp are you running into? The pedal sounds awesome!
It’s a Matchless independence 35
Can it be run with a special acable by a voodoo lab plus ???
How are the pedals with tubes vs regular overdrive pedals like the jam
Great demo and playing. Thank you.
Just wanted to ask your opinion on using this pedal with a clean amp. Or any suggestions if not.
Thank you again for the demo. ✌🏻
From this side it doesn't sound like a tube screamer, it sounds better.
Useful pedal, but what a shame the in and out sockets were mounted on the sides!
Do we use PAULDREW as our Jam Pedal promo code?
That will add 20% to the checkout
I would have subscribed but you kept deleting my comment on your video about the xotic you bought on eBay - weird
I haven’t deleted any comments. Did you put something in the comment that RUclips might have seen as spam?
Two overdrives in one..every brand are doing this now..
Hi. Is this pedal based on the TS 808, TS 9 or TS 10 ? Thanks
I believe it’s stated on the website for the pedal that it’s based on 808.
But can I unsubscribe? Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe after the live stream.
WHY SHOULD I PURCHASE ANY OF THEIR PEDALS WHEN YOU GET THEM ALL FOR FREE???
Put out great demos highlighting their usefulness and comparing them to others, build up a channel with thousands of followers, and you can do the same. And spend hours filming and editing like he has - it’s a lot of work to make good videos like these. Otherwise, I suggest you don’t take his word for it: try some side by side with other pedals and see if you don’t conclude they’re worth the investment. Certainly was what I found!
@learnfromthemastersmusicou7241 cheers fella, it great to know there are people like you out there as opposed to that guy.
Eh, still sounds like a TS
Whichever guitar, amp or pedal this guy uses he sounds exactly the same. In every video.
