  • Martha Stewart shares her recipe for making savory buttermilk biscuits with fragrant, finely chopped herbs like chives, dill, and rosemary. Given how difficult buttermilk can be to find in a grocery store, Martha also teaches us how to make buttermilk from scratch! These light and flaky biscuits are phenomenal with breakfast sausage, eggs, bacon, or on their own with some butter. They are fluffy and flavorful and so fun to make!

    This is very similar to my granny's recipe. She didn't add the baking soda when using buttermilk. I'm going to try that. Also, she was adamant that you weren't supposed to twist the cutter on the dough...straight up and down or the biscuits won't rise she would say. Well, your biscuits look perfect so that must have been an old wives tale. 😆

    These biscuits look wonderful and I love buttermilk! They look very much like scones. Is there a difference?

    • @MarthaStewart
      @MarthaStewart  3 года назад +10

      They use similar ingredients but there is a small difference! The buttermilk we use for the biscuits make them extra fluffy, airy and flaky. Scones use on richer, denser, ingredients like heavy cream and eggs to get a sturdy, more crumbly result.
