Me too hahahaha now we have 22.
Remember when i watched this first time in 2008 :D memories..
Dude!!!! Same here, I was 14 or 15 at the time
The 80's BMX era was the best. Thanks for posting this video, it brought back some great memories.
Classic,i remember this vid back in the days. Long live 80's and bmx/freestyle. Eddie and Martin rule.
it took me so long to find this video again!! brings back so many memories
Lol same! I have been looking for this one for a while, the music too!
Update: I’m still coming back, it’s 2021
Without the old school bmx the new school bmx would not exist....and that is a 100% fact.
Same with like everything
I remember these days, this was around about the time i started BMX when I was a youngin. good times good times
Man ! These old school bmx bikes were and continue to be so cool. They were easy to identify.
Take me back to the 80's! Help, I'm trapped in 2014!
these guys did miracles on bike thes are the people that got me started
Awesome !!! those guys made me dream when I was teen, something you can't imagine....
I started racing in 1974 when I was 5 years old until I was about 19. I use to race at the Vallejo track mosly in the 70's and then the Napa track and Fremont a lot in the 80's and then roseville and stockton, etc. BMX was awesome.. I was so addicted as a kid... still am...
For all the haters just think. How many kids in 2014, could do the tricks we were doing/developing in 1984 ??? I remember a mother telling me she went and woke up her son when my friends and I came into her street and began 'bustin some moves' :D
No one had seen anything like it at that time, we really showed the way............ Now, at 45, I have a 30 year old tangerine orange GT Performer and a 32 year old white, orange and chrome Aero Reflex
>sigh< Oh how I wish I could go back to those carefree days..........
C'mon, how can anyone dislike this?!
Awesome stuff!!
Oldschoold isit was something new and rad during the 80's , so RESPECT is what it deserves, BMX ACTION FOREVER...38 years old Elite (many years ago) European rider...The same happened with snowboard...THIS IS RAD!!!!
This bring old memories, and keep me going. Old school, my way.
josh white rules. to my old school brethren, please disregard new school haters. one must not argue with those not in the know. After all, they are playing an 80's game, and there should be no argument about that. Kids, be thankful you are able to be different in an age of uniformity, simply because 30 years ago, some kids dared to be different as well. Ride on.
they make it look so easy. brings back some fine memories.
and great song. who didn't like new order in the 80s and 90s?!
thanks for the video!
i used to have this video but lost it probably 18/19yrs ago, just an explosion of memories to see it. BEST times of my life. i had forgotten about the 14 inch seat post
540's, look back's 1 hand 1 foot, flatland, man this takes me back to my childhood... spent years on my "gt performer and my vdc changa"!!! 1980...wat a year !!
Gotta love their suits, helmets, super high seats, and sick moves!!!
i have been looking for this video for so long,i used to have it as a kid and i would watch it endlessly for some reason, i dont knwo why i was never really into bmx.... i think it was just the tricks and the music and i was hooked
gotta love the high seat posts and the old flatland stuff.. love it!
F'in awesome! Look at how high those seats are. This was when GT was a real bicycle company. Wish I still had my Hutch.
Holy crap, this brings back memories. Team GT was the bomb in the mid 80's. I was always a Haro guy, but still great stuff.
i dunno what i like more...the footage or the tunes!
Man some of these tricks were just awesome. You don't see anybody doing backwards rocket nose wheelies!
These are pioneers and legends. If only we knew where they are today...
This is just before I got into BMX and I can totally appreciate it. These guys are the god fathers of what is now the X-Games. I love it. Brings me back and I actually feel like going home getting me bike and hitting the trails right now!!!
this is the sickest oldschool bmx video i had ever seen
This was my time 1984, in indonesia..great HARO TEAM, thanks for share...greetings from Indonesia
Airgrabbers Uk veteran here, awesome vid, brought back some good memories of mis- spent youth :) Last bike I had was a GT performer with blue tuffs, loved that bike.
I think it's great how these guys stil do what they do with their seat jacked up super high. Old school chrome riders rule.
Man I miss those days! I remember practicing decades in my front yard so when I crashed I wouldn't get as hurt, once I got that mastered we started rolling decades and it just went on and on. Best times of my life, if I could go back I would and just ride my GT Pro Performer all day!
I miss tricking. Best times of my life.
I remember seeing this Dyno team at the local mall in Philadelphia area. Had to beg and plead my mom to drive me out there. Still remember that show like it was yesterday!
wow this brought me back 2 my riding days.
old school is always going to be better
Heck yeah man! Im still riding out some of these tricks even till this day! Stay Rad dudes!
man this brings back memories! Martin and Eddie and Josh..I still have my 88 Haro Sport freestyler too
7:17 is the best. old skool is so good to watch. makes you appresiate how its come to where it has now, so much dedication and passion involved.
I love the quick-spin in the beginning!!
its far more extreme and/or awesome than anything you will ever find in life
Wow this could be the best YT vid I've seen in a while!
I love everything about it. The footage, the music, the seat height. If you you didn't grow up in the 80's,
then don't try to relate... seriously
damn this makes me feel old. =(.....
i so envy these guys when i was kid..
Love old school BMX. That being said, I feel the need to get a sweet jumpsuit. Sweet pre-detangler tricks.
Aaahh the days of freestyle on my performer or TA, good memories must get one of the latest machines even though Im pushing 40!!
Ass a bmxer in 2012 I never liked freestyle but one this is Right I See How 180 360 manuals n tai whips and bar spins came out of Freestlye Props to them . Those Highlighter Color Days were cool I wish I can live in the 90s
I remember riding my Dyno Compe about 20 miles to see a Haro demo at a local bike shop. I was so damn excited to see Matt Hoffman and Brian Blyther and Rick Moliterno. I still have their autographs in a frame somewhere. These guys were BMX Gods and I was so nervous to even go up to them. Man I miss those days.
ahhh the days of chrome redlines, haros, and robinson frames....Still have my chrome redline SL2000 from 20 years ago and my ramp riding days
The pink GT performer!! I had 1 of those....ahhhh good times!
This brings back a lot of memories. I remember all the old school bikes like Haro or Hutch. Those bikes they sell at Walmart these days are a joke
When Bmx, was Bmx. Amazing !
classic!...that's exactly how I remember it!
bmx'n has come a long way....fassion wise anyway!
remember those years in 1984-1987, bmx was the best way to go about and ride..
Gives me memories to the mid 1980s when I was in Jr High School.Remembering "Mongoose","GT","Redline",bmx bikes(by the way,I like that first song by "New Order").
04:33 was a really fun trick!. i dont bmx myself, but i enjoy these oldschool clips alot more than modern bmx. Thanks for the vid
FANTASTIC OLDSCHOOL!!!!
I love this, i rode hutches but GT, and Haro had killer teams back then. Good stuff
Still coming back even in 2021
Thanks Bill
these guys go so hard, sick 360's
Pioneers with skills that still blow minds even by todays standards.
Bloody fantastic stuff!!
I am 35 vused to be semi-pro. Rode a Haro team master and loved it but it got jacked. I just bought a GT Pro performer and getting back into it. Your never to old to stop riding. Love me some freestyle
i remember all the bike mags had plans and Blueprints of how to build your own Quarter pipe and do an aerial in your own back yard ! totally great .Nothing like seeing the pros do it in person . Standing next to the ramp the hang time is a lot!
Good stuff brings back the memories!!
takes me back to the days of my P.K. Ripper lols....loved that bike, briight yellow with chrome CWs'
I am from Maryland and during the summer G.T,Haro and Mike Buff and R.L. Osborne would put on a huge show in Rockville in front of thousands of people and they never disappointed. In fact the Washington Post did an article on them.
My GT Performer was hot pink, had a solid white plastic GT seat..., I was 12, so it didn't hurt...
It was the sickest bike ever!
Nice.. I am a 42 year old.. Female.. Whoactually had some skill. My last bike was a CW California Freestyle. I stopped riding after a serious injury. "Table-top"...... Gone bad. My son is now into it and I love it. Long live BMX Action...
I was racing and freestyling back then. Now I look back at it and wow how embarrassing. Glad I switched to skateboarding through the 90s.
love it, high saddle and thin Q pipes. nice post.
Good old times !!!!
totally remember those days in grade school where we got to watch bmx performances

That trick freak me out too.
Hahaha.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ! :))) wonderful.
Simply awesome!!!
Those guys rocks! Godamn freaking awesome!
Thats nice, it's actually more common than you may think, and i'm comparing the high seats to todays bmx riders
Oldies but goldies :D
lol look at that pink bike. this is good stuff. nice music too
That pink bike is legendary.
HAAAA!!! my god how far we've come. Look how skinny the frames were and how tall and wide the bars were. This is a GREAT vid, the music is perfect. Really brings back memories. If anyone missed this era of bmx, that's a shame. It was all so new and fun. I'm glad I got to experience it and the 90's revival and now the current scene. Good job on the video.
Oh man... hoppong and balancing tricks... those were the days !!!
Yep, one piece cranks were the shit back in da day. I have only broken 1 piece. But I have bent many.
I love watching old school BMX.
Oldschool BMX was awesome.
Guess it doesnt matter what you ride. BMX has always been the same. People out there having fun doing what they love. I like the old vids once in a while. Looks like seats have gotten lower since 1982 though lol
WOW!!! tricks now a days are so much smoother than they were way back then huh eh?
Awesome Vid! I was a kid in the 80's but always loved the bmx freestyle roots and do alot of riding myself to this day.
Sweet vid man...old school for the win!
This was when riding put more pressure on you, because back in the 1980's no one was supportive of any of this except your friends, if you were older than 12 and were seen doing tricks on a bicycle you were looked down on by either your parents, school teachers and other "mature" adults, now parents want their kids to ride to get exercise instead of being on the computer or TV all afternoon. So I give these a LOTof credit for sticking with riding.
The best times...GT forever...!
Great stuff. Old school to be sure. I has some of these video clips many years ago and did many of the tricks in the video. I had the Dyno T and GT Pro Freestyle Tour bike and all.
remember t "Bicycle Motocross Action" ? Then it became BMX Action" ? Stu Thompson was my hero. On the cover all the time. I remember getting my first "snakebelly" tire. It was yellow! I would not shut up about this tire! Are those still around? How about those crazy Oakley III's? Fun for a while but to much work to be shifting them back into place all the time.
DX pedals came out and that was a revolution! I had those awesome CW handle bars that brace went straight across the top!
This takes me back to when I had hair, couldn't give a shit, lungs as big as a house and RAD moves! Happy days!
the pioneer of BMX.
Obviously those negative comments are from the mouths that even did´t exist when these videos were shoot. Today´s youngsters really don´t think before they leave comments or then they just don´t have any respect for the old timers and overall people who have lived life much much more and are more experienced than they witch is kinda sad. Anyway thanks for gierk for uploading this one. It remembers me of good old dayz. This goes 5 out of 5 stars definitely!!!!
Ahh, this brings back memories =)
Great vid
ha ha nice and the song i remember that under my mind dust...old time but Independenza recordings team is always in the mood od BMX ans sport
rocking! wow i missed it so much...
WHOA!!!!!! this is sick!
I feel old after I watched and recognized some of the riders. 45 tooth chain wheels will not be missed
