Martin and Eddy even rides today but obviously they became rusty somewhere. At least they still go out and have fun and to me, that's what it's all about anyhow at least back then as pros did not make much money at all unlike anything in sports today. I rode for MCS before Billy and Kevin went to gt and the mcs team went under as Lynn Swoope was responsible for taking the mcs ramps around and at the time, Marlow and I was not at the gt qualifications in north Miami Beach when Martin , Brian Acura and Josh white was hosting the event.

Great video. I still have my all original '88 Pro Performer. Blue w/ white mags, fold-down fork stands, Skyway axle pegs...got it for my 13th birthday. Still ride it in NYC sometimes, get stopped all the time, people want to take pics with it.
I rode in the expert class of the afa events in 86-89 then started the pro class in 89-90 in Florida riding for MCS for 2 years before the team seperated going their own ways between GT, Six flags and 2 stayed with mcs but it never taken off again unfortunatly. I miss riding back then and seeing some of these videos bring back a ton of memories. I prefer the old flatland freestyle and sponsorships in comparison to the more recent freestyle still today but nobody can deny that the sport has indeed became much more advanced as other sports have but a good reason is the winnings is worth increasing ones skills unlike back then also. A lot more time must be spent to train to keep up.

Outstanding video! I miss the mid 80s contest actually. It is outstand to see some footage of Mike Dominquiz also when he rode for diamondback. I have not heard anything about him in so long but he was one of my few favorite ramp riders back then. Has anyone heard any updates on him?
It's funny seeing these flatlanders wearing motorcycle helmets while doing ground tricks. These guys dressed like they were on Team NASA preparing for space travel. Maybe they took the name Skyway a little too serious. I love the 80's, such a fun and unique time.
