Levi Hildebrand The succulent at 3:21 is most likely and echeveria, but could be a graptoveria (less common). The succulent at 6:20 look like a type of lace aloe but could be some kind of hawarthia I've never seen before (they pup slower though so not likely). In case you were interested 🙃
The "We don't know what we're doing but we're having a blast!!" Vibe is really good here And also let's be honest, sassy old ladies are the best old ladies
Ever since the pandemic started, I became obsessed with house plants. However, I am poor so I just asked for cuttings from other people and used plastic bottles as hanging planters. I live near a grassy area so I just get soil from there. Now one side of our house is full of hanging plants. My next goal is to plant tomatoes, chillies and lemongrass
You guys should definitely print a letter and ask the other residents of the building if they intend to use their garden spaces, if not to use them to produce more and give them some in exchange or so
As a plant lover, might I just say that your description of your house plants was very entertaining lol 😂 Monty the Monstera now knows where he got his name!
I love the video! “this is an ivy something...” 😂😂😂 and Peggie is so funny. Here in Vancouver is full of community gardens, I’ve seen even by a Sky train station or in downtown!.
You should also plant nasturtium flowers on your roof top garden. The entire plant is edible and the flowers have an amazing peppery flavor that is great on salads
I love that you guys are just as clueless about plants as I am! Just because you’re helping the environment doesn’t mean you’re an expert at all things green.
Whether it’s the GLAM plant tour... or the NON-GLAM plant tour... either way, it’s all good... except for the “Succulent Black Market”... that is ridiculously crazy!! And we’re the most intelligent species on the planet⁉️😜 What a world we live in!! Great video, thanks... and I love Peggie!!🍫
Adorable! I love seeing your brand new gardening excitement. You also do a great job with your small spaces. We have 21 raised beds in our front yard and we love it when people come by to talk about growing food (though my husband has 95% of the knowledge).
Don’t forget to eat the greens of beets and radishes (so many ppl just compost them but they are delicious!) I’m pretty partial to radish greens pesto 😊
I'm going to try work with my earth club to create some public box gardens for ppl to get healthy food from. I wasn't thinking about it very seriously but this vid pushed me to pull the trigger on it. Thanks guys!
I am excited I got a community garden plot this year that is close to where I live instead of a twenty five minute walk away. New one is a five minute walk.
There's also a huge poaching problem with Venus Fly Traps in North and South Carolina! They only grow in a small area across the two states so there is a huge demand for them on the black market. The podcast Criminal have an awesome episode about it 😇
That rooftop garden is amazing. We belonged to a community garden across the street from our condo and it was great to go grab fresh greens for our salads. You must have a nice long growing season. Here in Edmonton it's unfortunately pretty short.
Pre-orders for the Framework laptop (Fairphone equivalent) just started! Would be awesome if you can do a Levi-esque deepdive/review of it as a company and/or product at some point! And sidenote: Can you negotiate to hijack neighboring plots until your neighbors move in? They're wasting away idle and empty while spring/summer is in full bloom!
Haha! Get yourself a water meter to help with knowing when to water. Also check that you don’t have fungus gnats with indoor plants, they can damage the roots and cause visible leaf damage
Quick tip! Look around your neighborhood if there are side walks being made etc and see if they have a pile of plants that were removed because you might be able to just ask is you can have them instead throwing it away (Me and my mom did this recently, a we don't really buy plants as much a possible because they tend to die so we just ask for some from neighbores, friends and family
I love this!! if I don't end up living in a small house with a garden after university, I'll definitely check out if there's something like that wherever I'll end up living hahah
Good thing I got some succulents before the pandemic, that’s just crazy. Also have Aloe vera and a pair of orchids, of which is having some issues. We’d love more plants, but majority of the windows face north, or only get limited sun.
Watching you go through the plants and naming the species in my head was fun. The vine ones are Pathos and the Spikey boy is a Dracania Colorama. 😍 I love fostering unloved plants from my office and watching them thrive.
Mizuna is the yummy spiky leaf veg in your rooftop garden, which is so neat! What a great idea! Am curious to see how many residents will use theirs and how many sit empty.
I happen to be into house plants. You don't need to know the names of your plants to enjoy the overall increased well-being plants produce, but you DO need to do some research to learn how to make your plants happy.
Who needs to know the name of the species, when they have proper names? Go Larry and Monty! Btw, growing and picking fresh vegetables yourself has another upside. You can pick and eat the parts that don't fit in the stores! Radish leaves are delicious and peppery, celery and fennel leaves are amazing herbs, etc. If you know what's edible then you'll have lots more options, and less waste. (Word of caution: not everything is edible just because a part of a plant is edible. Don't go eating tomato or potato plants for instance)
The plant that has blight is an anthurium and I have one that I split into two, I keep one bare rooted in water and the other in a pot with soil and perlite and the one in just water is thriving so much better, maybe consider changing it to water? And if it has black spots on the backs of the leaves cut them off it will really help 😊 love your videos so much this little tour was the best! Boobie pot for the win
in the vase of flowers the woody looking things are called pussy willows, and you can put them in a thing of water and the will grow roots and then you can move them to soil
For the plant that you're not sure whether to water more or less... Try watering less first. Plants come back from underwatering better than overwatering. At least, that's what I've heard. I'm no plant expert... I just watch plant experts on RUclips 😆.
I have a question for you, I love the idea of creating pieces of art with some type of motivational purpose which I could spread across the neighborhood to promote sustainable and mindful living. But what is the best approach? What image or sentence would be effective to motivate others? Should it be extreme and confrontational, or more mild and comfortable? Anybody have any ideas? What would work as an inspiration to eat less meat or not litter our neighborhood?..
That's a great idea! I think you have to gauge what your community needs but I personally think that being approachable (especially in public settings) is the best path to progress. Good luck and check out Von Wong for inspiration!
Give this video a like for Peggie! Hahaha frig she makes me laugh...
Liked, commented and subscribed. Love this feel good type of content :D

@@helenobrien60 thanks for that! I’m not big into succulents, more so foliage based plants..so those were the ones I couldn’t recall from memory!
M. deliciosa, I had high hopes, Linnaeus would have been proud. : ))))
Edible fruit, if it ever gets big enough.
The "We don't know what we're doing but we're having a blast!!" Vibe is really good here

Man, looking forward to seeing a summer salad you through together from your garden 🪴👌🏼🔥

Gotta love Peggy!
Love that you still do gardening even though you're not an expert. Learn by doing instead of being intimiated by the challenge!
WOW your community garden is amazing! And love Peggy :D
Yeah she’s an absolute legend 😂👍🏼
Living for this! 🪴🌿🪴🌿
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Also love Leah's hair.
definitely going to take some inspo for our garden pod as well! solid video man 👌🏼
2:33 is the heart leaf philodendron and 2:40 is philodendron brazil my personal favourite 🤩🤩
Thank you for this!

Heck yeah! The community garden vibe is a special one. 🙌🏼
This comment is for the planet and for the beautiful plants!!!
Omg! I love Leaha’s hair! The fishtail looks soooo good! 😍
That "I'm smart 🤓" energy… I felt it 🙈
You guys are lucky to have access to a community garden.
Yeah we definitely are! There's a waiting list to get into ours thats years long!
"Make America great slur." Hahahhaha brilliant way to refer to that slogan. Haha
Sometimes I impress myself lol

This video made me so happy! I love Peggy!!!🌱🌱
I’m just now getting into gardening. Living in Germany the past year has helped me to appreciate my garden, balcony, or terrace space.
Thank you for blessing us with this content today Levi
After seeing your raised beds and Peggy’s raised bed, I suddenly feel the need to make my raised bed even more packed with plants.
Hahaha well Peggie sets the bar pretty high. 😂
Adorable! I love seeing your brand new gardening excitement. You also do a great job with your small spaces. We have 21 raised beds in our front yard and we love it when people come by to talk about growing food (though my husband has 95% of the knowledge).
As a plant fanatic, Leah calling those philodendrons ivy was really getting to me. Still love you!
Hedera the world over are plotting revenge. ; )))))))
... and all their cousins, for full list see;

Love getting to see all of your lovely plants 🥰also loving Leah's side braid in this video 😍😍😍
Thanks so much 😊
Yes! The side braid was so pretty!
I never knew there was a community gardening place nearby, but apparently there is one really closeby :D
Don’t forget to eat the greens of beets and radishes (so many ppl just compost them but they are delicious!) I’m pretty partial to radish greens pesto 😊

I keep coming back for the great content...and that sweet sweet yellow sofa.
For people who 'don't know anything about plants' you're doing a very very good job! Woohoo!
chugga chugga choo choo. yall are the cutest.
Love the garden tours! Your downtown plot is a couple blocks from my work. It’s a beautiful space. 🌼🌸🌺🌱🌻
I love the « spiky little weird thing » it has like red highlights that are kinda cute

Love that plant stand. Great roof top garden
This video is so wholesome :) Also I love Peggie and Janet
Haha! Get yourself a water meter to help with knowing when to water. Also check that you don’t have fungus gnats with indoor plants, they can damage the roots and cause visible leaf damage
I LOVE Peggie. Protect Peggie at all costs!

I get to work on an organic farm this year. I’m so excited to grow some food!
That's awesome! Enjoy the experience!
Just sitting over here in Alberta waiting for the snow and frost to be over and feeling so jealous!!
Hahaha you’ll get there eventually!
Indoor plants is great!!!

Over here from Downie's! Great tour guys, love the community garden and the friends there :)
For Peggie...🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫 (one dozen chocolate bars)!! 🤪
LLLLOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE the boobie pot. This video is so my vibe! Loved it
LeVine plants are the best!
I wish all or most buildings put gardens on roof tops (Especially in my school cause that would be awesome!)
ooooh what a nice community garden. Is there maybe a possibility of a foraging video in the future?
The plant after "side-show bob" is a schleffera or umbrella tree.
Mizuna is the yummy spiky leaf veg in your rooftop garden, which is so neat! What a great idea! Am curious to see how many residents will use theirs and how many sit empty.

Thank you!
salvaged plants make me so happy. I have 2 rescued orchids.
love it! thank u guys 4 sharing 🥰
This was awesome! Super helpful video

Yes! We are hoping to do a bunch of pickling and canning this year!
happy growing!!!!

Thanks for the info! We've definitely got some work to do there haha
Awesome!!
I literally have no idea what you're growing or what you showed, but I watched the whole thing.
loved this!
Awesome Video!
I need more Peggy in my life.
Love it!
I might be moving into your building 😁
Thank you. That’s nice. I also do gardening in a balcony
😍😍love love love your vlogs😍😍
I didn't know there were naughty plants! Succulents are awesome but maybe I should keep my love of them secret,
I think they’re fine for the most part but the fascination with “rare” or unique plants is a problem
Amazing content 😁 Did you come across any content on the peat compost environmental issue and its rapid worsening while researching?
I have the same plant as Larry, but his name is Darryl!! 😂
Ivy thing... ... just insulting. : ))))))
"This is a tree?!?"
Oh hun.... Half of those are trees, lol.
Wish we had plant boxes on the roof dont understand why flat roofs arent used more
YAYYYYY Plant tour!!
YAAAAAASSS i love houseplant videos
Beautiful!
And here we have Spikus weirdii....
in the vase of flowers the woody looking things are called pussy willows, and you can put them in a thing of water and the will grow roots and then you can move them to soil
I love plants too but cannot, for the life of me, memorize their names as well! 🤣
Yeah I am just not that interested. I find food plants more interesting so I can retain information about them more easily.
You've got an amazing array of plants! If you ever have houseplant questions, let me know!
For the plant that you're not sure whether to water more or less... Try watering less first. Plants come back from underwatering better than overwatering. At least, that's what I've heard. I'm no plant expert... I just watch plant experts on RUclips 😆.
Do the rooftop gardens attract pollinators?
I think it depends on the plants that are on the rooftop I would imagine!
I think you guys get cuter.
MYFLA hats? where's tentree at on this?

And all I can manage to keep alive are aloes
Yeah that's Jade for us... Just a tough ass plant.
LEAH, PLease share where you got your white cardian/sweater. I'm in love. Please let it not be from a thrift store.
It looks like some of the sweaters from TenTree. Hope that helps!
@@TheKarebear666 thanks!
@@TheKarebear666 It absolutely is from TenTree!!
"ivy thing" translation = heartleaf philodendron
Thank you ✊🏻
@@LeahandLevi so happy for you both- all about that plant and homesteading content 🌿
