While i love Meryl and enjoyed the first movie, this movie was far better than the first movie. Lily wasn't better than Meryl neither the opposite but they're both in the same level portraying Donna
Lily is very believable not only as a young Meryl Streep, but also as the mother to Amanda Seyfried. Their voices, especially the vibrato are so similar. It just adds to the concept of mother/daughter.
Lily James played Donna so phenomenally. Her voice, her acting, everything was incredible. Me and my daughter have been jamming this soundtrack around the house for so long.
I love how her voice is literally like a mix of Meryl’s and Amanda’s. 💖💖

I adore both, but Lily's Donna is so refreshing and vibrant. She was just so ready and willing to take the world by storm and held herself with grace yet wasn't afraid to be herself no matter how silly. Meryl's Donna is funnier and makes me laugh every time she's on screen, but Lily's Donna is just wonderful in every way
