  • The Tories are making themselves repulsive to most voters as polling and Times Radio interview with former Telegraph journalist and true Conservative Peter Oborne shows.
We are about to live through a seismic election event and wipe out of the Tories.

Subsidised food and drink in Hoyse of Commons but restricting free school meals to vunerable children. Austerity cost lives. People on universal credit died. Some took their own lives in despair. Social services cut. Children and spouses dying in the home. A Tory vote will always be an "I'm alright Jack "vote . Thankful for brexit, the reason that I escaped, thankful for the Spanish immigration police who after a thorough grilling gave me residency, thankful for King Felipe and his declaration, thankful for my small town home, my neighbours the laughter from the street cafes and the natives who laugh at my attempts at the language but also are there with patience and a ready smile. The sense of cheeky fun is always there and a spirit of family and home is in every street. The police turn up in numbers to have coffee in the cafe in our square and always have a smile and a hello. A place to live and enjoy a civilized life where little things mean a lot. Love from a town where folk don't have a lot but are happy, Gran Canaria.

Brexit - a bad idea done dishonestly by a bunch of ideological spivs with no planning or preparation. The Tory Party had to sack its best politicians in order to get it through which left us with only the bottom of the barrel scrapings to form present governments. We're obviously in a real mess despite all the resources of government being focussed on hiding the damage. A tragic mistake done badly - what could go wrong apart from everything?
Worst of all, I do not believe that civilisation can sustain itself without us realising that the only way forward is to stop the silly flag waving and arrogant nationalistic boasting and realise that we must learn to share and cooperate - cooperation means peace and plenty for all but sadly Britain loves conflict, war and winning even though that guarantees poverty, war and loss.
Best in the world? Britain is now the shame of the world- a country with so much but too selfish, paranoid and small minded to move into a better future for Europe than the past millennia of constant war and destruction.
