- King George Whiting Fishing ,Squid at Weed at Palace! GoPro attacked by Cuttlefish Perth W.A
Perth fishing for the elusive prized fish, KG Whiting on a cold windy day. Found a few weed beds to fish from and came up with the goods in short time.
GoPro underwater captured schooling KG amongst the weed beds, plus a surprise attack buy a cuttlefish.

Do you need to find the ground on the sounder or just Burley up anywhere in the Cockburn sound offshore?
Ive never used a sounder..just by sight. Look for broken ground of weed and sand..put the bait in the sandy areas. Burley helps to keep them close.

Well, you found the whiting mate. Great to see. Some nice fish there mate. That cuttle fish and other underwater footage was great. Seeing the whiting schooling like that shows nicely why they were such willing biters on the day.

From the boat i could see it attack the Gopro..but in defence the camera moved a bit and didnt capture the whole lot.lol..chee r s mate🤙

Haha, same KG’s are one of my favourite eating fish, Blackares Cod is my favourite personally. Sweet little eat up tho! I don’t have a family boat but I love watching you guys fish of them, cheers for the banger of a vid!

From the very start, Dom posed a question "Am I recording" & answered it with a "Yes" and produced another great video. The GoPro took a dive into the shallows to reveal the sandy bottom & weed beds, home of King George Whiting."Fish on!" A KG. When it looked like the fish was in the bag it slipped the hook & escaped. "Bugger!" Undaunted Dom continued & was rewarded with a good catch of KG, squid & cuttlefish. The wind eventually closed down the fishing session. Dom DID NOT DO a catch & cook this time. Maybe next time? May all your squirts be big ones & I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Been having fish every second day! A few times i have used them for live bait but only small snapper. They are very good for live bait in the right area!
