Mark Appel still got to do what almost every boy who plays baseball has dreamed of. Play in front of a 40,000 sold out crowd for at least a minute. I find it very ironic and coincedental that in three top major sports leagues in the US (NBA, MLB, NFL) 2013 was amongst the worst drafts for all three. Very odd year indeed

Oh yeah, he’s definitely got plenty of time left in the league, especially compared to most of these guys. Considering how beloved he is in the clubhouse, he could be a guy that sticks around forever.
The funny thing with the 2013 draft was that it was terrible in any of the Big 4 American Sports. The 2013 NFL draft is one of the worst in recent memory, the 2013 NBA draft would probably be considered the worst if 2000 didn't exist, and even the NHL draft was very bad
If Brien Taylor and Mark Appel ever fought, Appel would probably win since Taylor likely would have missed the punch and fell over on his shoulder.
I was coming to say…
Anyone know the title of the music at the end of the video?
its honestly a shame about what happend to clint because i loved him on the yanks
imagine if the astros who do a fine job drafting and developing players drafted kris bryant instead of mark appel the astros would have been a dynasty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when mark appel came out of stanford he had 4 PLUS PITCHES in his repertoire !!!!!! most young pitchers have 2 at most !!!!!!!!! he was sooooo good they could already put him in the hall of fame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i do not think appel had much adversity to deal with and i think he literally WAS TRYING TO STRIKE EVRYBODY OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the mistake was bringing him up to double too quickly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice organized video presentation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! about the kris bryant 492 foot homerun: i drove to wrigley field overnight from new york where i live and i remember THAT HOME RUN KB hit off ruby de la rosa ( who had even greater expectations than mark appel) !!!!!!!! that homer in the 5th inning was the first cubs hit in the game!!!!! eventually we would score more runs and arizona did get a couple of 9th inning runs but the cubs prevailed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice world series highlights of 2016 !!!!!! i have no complaints !!!!!!!!
Hey, the one fun fact about Phil Bickford that blew my mind , that wasn't in your segment on him was that he was the Dodgers reliver that gave up HR #700 to Cardinals Legend and soon be HOFer Albert Puljols!😜
the hillbillies instrumental in the back is too fire
Mark Appel looked good out of the Phillies bullpen in 2022. I thought he was going to stick around.
You have some good taste in music!
The best one of them who had the greatest potential was Frazier but his attitude was a huge problem here here in New York he should’ve been a superstar here in New York with his red flowing hair and everything
If he had a butt like Paul Dejong it would've worked out. He could've been an IG model.
I find it very ironic and coincedental that in three top major sports leagues in the US (NBA, MLB, NFL)
2013 was amongst the worst drafts for all three. Very odd year indeed
Weird right? Can't be a coincidence but there's no apparent linking thread.
at this point 2019 stats should have an asterisk next to them
It's really funny that almost every hitter on this list had their best year in 2019
@@AndThatsBaseball yep. i just saw that the MLB-wide OPS in 2019 was 50 points higher than in 2022
Ive never seen a route like that before wtf 🤣 13:45
love the beck instrumental in the background
When I turn the TCR up to 150
Kris Bryant had one the best starts to a career in mlb history. As we know injuries can ruin it all.
Oh my god so I DID see Colin Moran at the airport. I had no idea he was traded to Tacoma but i saw the beard and thought "Is that Colin Moran?"
No one will EVER be a bigger bust than Brien Taylor. Maybe it's because I'm a Yankee fan LOL
I will prob do a video on him one day. His story is so ridiculous it doesn’t even feel real. Should’ve listened to Crash Davis when he said never to punch with your throwing arm
He wasn't a bust. He was just an idiot for getting in that fight.
I was at Clint Frazier's debut game. Fun game.
I'll be honest. I have no idea how we're at the All-Star break already
Season’s flying by for real
Can you do a Pedro Martinez video lol I can’t get enough Pedro. Or a How Clutch Was Papi video… bc he was clutch lol
Can’t talk about the Red Sox being good for that long, sorry
@@AndThatsBaseball #FireChaimBloom I get it… I haven’t watched a Red Sox game in 3 years bc they’re so awful
I got to do play by play for some of trey ball’s games while he was at new castle, he was an amazing high school talent played outfield and pitched, had stupid good hitting a ability too. i was so hyped my team drafted him too but obviously id never panned out.
It’s so tough to project how talent will translate. Wonder what would’ve been if he began his pro career as an outfielder
This video was 🔥🔥🔥
Cant wait for the 2014 Draft video, the a rare draft where the first 2 picks didnt make the majors
I’m pretty sure Kolek was touching 102 in high school. It’s a shame that didn’t work out
I always felt bad for Clint Frazier on the Yanks it felt like they were in this weird limbo of we dont didnt wanna trade him because he has future star potential but we literally dont have a place to play him....wasted at least 4yrs of his career😂
It's weird how nfl nba and mlb all had bad drafts in 2013 it's like kids born In 92-94 weren't great athletes
19:30 that happy look
With bat speed like that Clint Frazier could be something special but I feel like maybe something like his attitude could be holding him back 🤷♂️
Bryant was never the same after he got hit in the head by that fast ball. Dude was electric when he joined the Cubs. He was damn good on that Giants team too. Injuries are weird sometimes, unfortunately.
i still remember when kris bryant made his debut it lit the baseball world on fire
CC said what every Yankees fan thought at the time, love that dude.
Love the use of Where it's at
What was it about 2013? The NFL draft sucked this year, the NBA draft sucked this year, and so did the MLB
Anthony Bennett is somehow a bigger bust than Appel
