"Let's pretend that it didn't happen" is a common reaction to love town - in universe or otherwise. "Our love opened the door to a vehicle I'd rather not enter" might be the cheekiest line in Mili's library.
Because that's what they all do. Once they get off the train, they pretend that it didn't happen. Also, you misspelled the word "rather" as "razer". Edit: YES, for anyone who misunderstood, pretending that it didn't happen means forgetting and being restored.
And yeah, you're totally right with "merging into one" thing... I remember just reading a story, thought that it's kinda long, skipped it and then go absolutely "WHAT THE ACTUAL F HAPPENED"
its not as obvious in this version, but in the key ingredient version it sounds ALOT more like 2 people having a conversation, then during the last verse they combine singing together which still HURTS AND IT GETS ME SO BAD
The moment Ruina went from great to unforgettable. Outside of string theocracy this is the first mili song you will hear and I wasn’t expecting to hear one of their songs as a battle theme, combined with the very long series of cutscenes that led up to this point the battle is very emotionally impactful and distressing. Even more tragic when (ending spoilers): I remember Tommy and Merry never get a happy ending even after everyone is released from the books in the ending.
@@nosmoke562 that's what they're referencing. Vergilius lost to the Purple Tear at that time, and it is understood the Purple Tear took Tomerry away somewhere after that.
You hit the nail on the heas with the Nina comparison, but fortunately no children (that we know of) were harmed in the making of this man made horror beyond comprehension lol The whole story of Love Town is a giant can of worms thats frankly very difficult to do justice I recommend checking out the video Love Town Is An Existential Nightmare by Frey Chacema (probably misspelled that) But the basic idea is these people get on a train thats advertised to go anywhere in 10 seconds flat, but what isnt advertised is that time works differently inside the train and its closer to 2000 years for the passengers
We never really got a confirmation at what point it ends though, that i know of. 2000 years is just as far as we could see until they signed an invitation. We just know that it's thousands of years, as stated by the cleanup agents. At least not millions.
Yeah as mentioned the train is a literal train The actual thing they get merged into together is… idk how to describe Tomerry. Capable of crushing a person into a sphere Tommy and Merry aren’t children, and they were dating before Love Town happened. But the strain of thousands of years in stasis, having been merged, broke their minds and they became very childlike. It was something they agreed to initially to protect the rest of the passengers from the ones who lost it early, sold on the idea that it had to be them because their bond of love would make them strong, hence LoveTown. But so much time passes that their individual personalities erode away until they don’t even recognise their prior names. Tomerry isn’t two people anymore, they’re not even one of the two or a combination of their lived experiences. They’ve lost pretty much everything that defined Tommy and Merry. Lovetown marks an interesting spot for the game. Your first “proper” boss fight and big difficulty spike. First mili song after the opening. And the first point Angela, one of the lead characters, sees suffering equivalent to her experiences. Evidence that her misery wasn’t even unique, a sign that there are still things that can horrify her. The first guest to show genuine, uncomplicated kindness towards her, and from Angela a sense of regret and discomfort. She asks Tomerry about Tommy and Merry, and their just confused what the nice lady with blue hair is talking about. We will learn not long later that every train this company runs works like this, and they provide the premium transport for the entire City of 7 billion people. They have hundreds or thousands of trains running daily, mass producing suffering on an industrial scale and wiping the memories away. Lovetown is a personal horror story. Learning that it’s nothing remarkable is conceptually horrifying, in a way simply being told the scale upfront couldn’t be. And it ties beautifully to Angela. If her suffering justifies what she’s done, and will continue to do, the substantial harm she’s caused in the name of being “owed” better, then does Tomerry not deserve the same? Tomerry wouldn’t really understand “justice” or “revenge” though. At least they seem happy
Seriously, the pure shock you receive when you start the tommerry battle and the scenary shifts for the first time on the game and the "yes I have been so afraid" starts playing.

Very glad you got to this one, this song haunted me for months when I first heard it and then looked into the context behind it. I love it and hate it at the same time, definitely one of Mili's most brilliant works.
The train refers to (W)arp Corp's Singularity, the warp train, where it's marketed to take you anywhere in the city of this universe in 10 seconds by traveling through another dimension. The caveat being the 10 seconds on earth is 1000 years in the dimension. People are supposed to be in stasis during that time and W corp employees harvest the excess time to sell to (T)ime corp. Love town was an event where the passengers weren't put in stasis (whether on accident or on purpose) and survived about a year in the alternate dimension before agreeing to have their flesh melded together by scientists on the same train. This was only possible because of the dimension they were in, evident by people not needing food or water to survive as well as being unable to die from self inflicted pain.

i played the love town chapter recently for first time, i was in discord with a friend, she shared me a music video or something and i was shocked about the song was so creepy and out of context, then i realized it was my Library of Ruina game that i was playing on second plane. yeah i was kinda distracted but even after reading it over and over again the pre-battle scene i was so confused and "shocked" about what i was listening to. so sad, so desperate, so traumatic, man that hit me out of nowhere and got touched by the story so hard. after reading some comments yeah i can agree to those "let's pretend that didn't happen at all" "we don't talk about love town" comments. love town it's just... too much. but yeah, it just get worse once you start the battle and the songs plays... god what a game
The story for the song is that peoples were aboard a train that was supposed to use time manipulation to go anywhere in 10 seconds, but while it did go in 10 seconds anywhere in the real world, within the train thounsands of years passed. At first, peoples are panicking normally, up until some peoples started trying to end their life, and it turned out that the train made them immortal, but unable to heal and still able to feel pain. The wounded are quarantined in the bottom wagons, but eventually they go insane and try to raid the other wagons to injure other peoples. In response, 2 young adults, tommy and merry, which are the characters in the song, volunteer for a procedure that fuse their while granting them incredible strength to hold the mad injured at bay, thus founding "lovetown", an area protected by them. The reason they sound childish is because after thounsands of years they mentally regressed to basically childrens
again great video, got a lot right, even the FMA stuff, but also 1 thing somewhat wrong, the couple talked about in the song is not kids though they look rather young, its more the innocence of the characters being portrayed.
Re: Merger. Yes. Re: Kids. They were young adults, probably 18-20, which is about as "child but still responsible for your own actions" you get in Ruina Lore. Re: Train: Train is literal, they aren't a part of it. Info below! Just imagine the moment a train left the station, it took you, ran a "Save" command, then just casually threw you into a voyage where your personal time is frozen for something along the lines of a billion years. At the end of the voyage, it just "Load"ed you, and then shot you off the train. That's the summarized way Warp Trains work in Library of Ruina Lore. The trains only take 8 seconds of real time - but in reality, they are shot into another plane, disconnected from our time. Think like, Minecraft Nether but in reverse. The travel time in the other plane is immense, but once you reach the exit, you leave that plane, and arrive back in the real world, 8 seconds later. There's time fuckery going on here, basically. Often this results in people going insane and attempting to kill themselves - a feature the train summarily denies, by preserving their life using an anchoring mechanism - so even if someone tries to behead themselves, they remain 'in one piece' - even if that just means a strand of skin, or even blood. They will remain in that pain for the rest of their voyage. Love Town is one of those trains mid-travel. It is caused by two people who get on the train but are able to transfer their consciousness to the real world's time (and thus not go completely fcking nuts), but are able to basically Shou Tucker people in order to give them strength. Tommy and Merry (two young adults on the train who are struggling as they watch each other slowly go mad defending against insane people trying to harm them for thousands of years) agree to a procedure under pressure, and are told their love will make their union strong. Which it does. Tomerry is an abomination, incredibly powerful. After another several thousand years, they lose all individuality, melding into 'Tomerry' and regressing into childish, infantile speech, referring to one of the people who did this to them as 'Mommy'. In this state, they are directed into the Library, converted into a book, and sealed forever. ... Just kidding! This is technically spoilers for the Library of Ruina and Limbus Company connective tissue that is PM's Leviathan. You've been warned! So, in the true end of LoR, EVERYONE is released from their books and distributed slowly throughout the city. This includes Tomerry, who - without being placed back into the train they came from - cannot return to normal. They are forever Tomerry - two young adults warped so thoroughly by a billion years of existence fearing they would spend those billion years in unending agony watching each other fail to die, that they became little more than a fleshy child hulk. They then kill nearly the entire orphanage Vergilius was protecting after being dropped on it and just trying to 'fold' the children like they did the insane train people. They arguably kickstart his entire arc we're seeing in Limbus Company, even! Oops!
btw this is probably my most barebones summary yet. it is so hard to explain love town. it requires *so many cutscenes* to explain it in-game. just post your reaction to googling "project moon ruina wiki love town", look at the Passengers tab, and then look at the "Love Town" tab. this is the shit ruina people love to see because it is a universal disgust
You are pretty dead on with some aspects so I just point out the few parts that you got sorta wrong. Spoilers: The pictures from the songs from Ruina aren't really connected to the game, while the ones from Limbus are slightly more tied to the game. The example being, 'Between Two Worlds'. They're not children but the ones involved (in the song) have been mentally regressed into being children who do whatever their 'mommy' tell them to do. Funny enough, there are living 'trains' in the games before and after this one, with this one being the exception.
Weren't involved in the story, but technically i think that children could also take warp trains like anyone else, along with their family. Just makes you think about it.
One of the the more serious spoilers for Library of Ruina: The situation takes place in a WARP train. It is a train which uses portals to take people anywhere in the world in 10 seconds. The dark secret, however, is that inside the train several thousand years pass during the voyage, and the people are just reconstructed with no memory of anything inside the train upon arrival. The main characters of this song are Tom and Merry. (I am not sure of their age. They're not children, probably about 16-18 years old.) They're taking the WARP train to have a date. When they get trapped inside the train, most of the passengers start going insane and hurting themselves or others. (note: nobody can die on a WARP train) They meet Jae-heon and Elena (two of the main antagonists of the game), which get them to agree to get stitched together into a single creature in order to protect the people in their carriage from the crazies in the other carriages. The last time we meet them, they have also lost their minds, calling Elena and Jae-heon their "mother" and "father", following their orders, and protecting Love Town, consisting of all the people they wanted to protect. (with an extra large helping of body horror)
nothing happen in love town, and you should probably don't try to dig deeper, because you won't find anything, at all, oh, and the song is just about 2 cute couple, nothing suspicious here, at all, and even if it did, it's just your imagination.
The fact you mentioned the Tucker Incident is actually pretty close. That’s all you’re going to get from me. We don’t talk about Love Town… But I am not apart of the “We” Long story short there is this thing called a Warp Train which gets people to their destination in 10 seconds. The problem is that the people on the train perceive time going by at such an altered state that it is for them only who knows how long. It could be 10,000 years or longer. By then the train goes into chaos and it becomes a war zone due to self mutilations and lack of death and the insanity that is caused by it. The two “children” as you put it are two people who underwent the “Tucker Treatment” with each other. They became one abomination of a being and lost their individuality. They created Lovetown which is a part of the train that you do not want to be anywhere near. If anything avoid the trains. I repeat avoid the trains. If you have to use one get the most expensive tickets. Cryostasis Chamber.

project moon fans rise up also, we dont talk about love town round' here.
The reason they sound childish is because after thounsands of years they mentally regressed to basically childrens
again great video, got a lot right, even the FMA stuff, but also 1 thing somewhat wrong, the couple talked about in the song is not kids though they look rather young, its more the innocence of the characters being portrayed.
they were indeed merged, they weren't children at the time they were adults but they regressed later. also it happened on a train! not far off
We never EVER speak of Love Town
i dont know what's with this warp train fuss. I took one and it was a 10 second trip just like what they said it was gonna be 🤨
This song still gives me ptsd
Remember people " We DO NOT TALK ABOUT LOVETOWN"
In your disc, you seem to have linked Children of the City by accident! Wonderful analysis though!!
Dah shiet i probably forgot to change the link. Sometimes I'll borrow the bulk of the text from a prior upload
We Don't Talk About Love Town
Mili song, this especially reminds me of japanede song. Upbeat melody, depressing lyric..
Re: Merger. Yes.
I'd discuss what I thought of this video, but we don't talk about Love Town.
What a perfectly normal train, I hope nothing happens aboard.
You actually nailed some things about the story but I will NOT say which. 💀
we STICK together
Do you take in recommendations? If you do i hope you listen to iro ha nioedo tururu wo mind blowing music
"I wonder if the lyrics will spell it out"
The lyrics: L-O-V-E L-O-V-E
Well it spelled it out alright
This would be where i talk about the context of the song, however....
We're not allowed to talk about Love Town
We don't talk what happened in love town and what is love town.
i'm da brave boi
😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨 no not this one emotion damage
You dont want to miss it? You'll want to miss it ngl
it wasnt child marriage but a regular one,but you were right about the nina thing
We don't talk about love town 🙂
You are pretty dead on with some aspects so I just point out the few parts that you got sorta wrong.
Spoilers:
The pictures from the songs from Ruina aren't really connected to the game, while the ones from Limbus are slightly more tied to the game.
@@Disorder2312 Oof. True. There are restrictions on powerful people, such as Colors, but so far none for children.
@@Disorder2312Ouch, turns out you're completely right about children on the train. 😅
@@callofhaloinfinite6336 See, it makes no difference for the corporation.
@@Disorder2312 Why would there be retrictions for children? Warp trains are completely safe, and we wouldn't want anybody thinking otherwise.
Now that he has reacted to all Mili songs in Library of Ruina, will there be the librarian floor themes next?
P.S. We don't talk about love town
You got the wrong song in the description.
"Do not, go home, until, you finish, reading, the, value, of E"
love this depressing song NGL
Take the lyrics literally and you might get the context
Something did happen on W Corp ignore the people that's saying nothing happened these are just W Corp agents
It's just a little bit of body horror.

One of the the more serious spoilers for Library of Ruina:
The situation takes place in a WARP train.
This one...
Yall ive been on this train for 4 days, anyone have a charger?
Nah, I only got this fuse
I dont dont know what you guys are talking about. Love town and the WARP train are totally safe, and nothing bad happed🙃
You got the fact that they literally merged right
actually i love non project moon mili song much much more
while not PM related (i think), my man should check out mili's painful death for the lactose intolerant
nothing happen in love town, and you should probably don't try to dig deeper, because you won't find anything, at all, oh, and the song is just about 2 cute couple, nothing suspicious here, at all, and even if it did, it's just your imagination.
Ah yes This Is Definitely Original From Children of the City 100%
The fact you mentioned the Tucker Incident is actually pretty close. That’s all you’re going to get from me. We don’t talk about Love Town…
But I am not apart of the “We”
Long story short there is this thing called a Warp Train which gets people to their destination in 10 seconds. Cryostasis Chamber.
ah yes... "we dont talk about love town"..., your not a true PM fan till you know what it means my friend..., play library of ruina :3
