I was looking forward to seeing this brushless upgrade of the Miss Geico. I like the look of the boat but the drawback is that it is brushed. I wanted to see what components he recommended with this upgrade if he was to purchase them for this purpose.
Man, the conception and birth of that little motor made me howl! 🤣 You're a certified lunatic Big B!! Okay, I'd go for the Small Bolt. One thing I do know about TP Power motors is that the magnets they use means they pack one hell of a punch for their size with loads of torque. On 3s you'll be getting close on 60k rpm on the shaft, but with good cooling I reckon you could go with small high rake prop (if you can find one!) and that little hydro would seriously kick ass! The only caveat would be the current - so 2s with a bigger prop is also an option. What a dilemma 😅
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂best intro ever Big B!!! MG17👍 I had a MG17, I put an Atomic ball bearing supported strut and flex drive on the back, 4500kv motor and 3s battery and a metal gear mini servo. Torque roll was a bitch to control-however I see you pretty much got that under control in previous mg17 videos, I was impressed. What ever you do I know it will be a blast, can’t wait to see it.✌️
My vote is try it in all of them,, and like Lamby G , can’t wait to see you get a Geico 36 twin motor, Think I might email Horizon on this too. Love the channel BIG B🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey big B just wondering what is a good prop for top speeds with the pro boat sonickwave 36. I have upgraded water cooling and 1650 kv tp motor but stock esc just wondering what prop i should get thanks.
Dasboata props are the best preped props on the market. Message him tell him what boat/power & what your trying to accomplish he'll get you hooked up dasboata
Oh great... 🙄 20 seconds into the video, and now I have to clean all the coffee of my computer monitor... AGAIN! Thunder Power, unlike so many other manufacturers, actually provides all the motor constants for their lineup. According to FECalc your TP 2030/7D on 2S would turn a cut-down X427 at 33,006 rpm at 43 amps with maximum efficiency at 35,853 rpm, so a smaller prop would improve efficiency. The same setup on 3S would move your Amp draw to 81 amps or close to 800 Watts. That motor is rated at 300 Watts maximum (mainly due to its ability to dissipate heat). On 3S, you would want to keep it at 30 amps or less. On 2S you could push 40 amps for the same Wattage output. Remember, that motor can take the Voltage, but it's physically limited in maximum Wattage output. You can add water cooling and up the Wattage output somewhat, but you will still be in about the same overall range. With all that said, that motor will be a real powerhouse in almost ANY application. If I were King for a Day, I'd put it in the MG17 and consider some of those nun-chuck style Airsoft batteries with each cell as low in the sponsons as is physically possible.
I’m thinking small hydro on 3 s or mod the tiny rigger it would fly. I think thats a carbon wrap I have pulled a few Kevlar rotors out and kevlar looks like fishing line and is a gold colour
Hey man, love your vids. I’m new to this hobby and I’ve learnt loads from you. I’m thinking of buying the Miss Geico 36, haven’t seen this in any of your vids so assume you don’t own one - would that be because you don’t rate. Interested to hear your thoughts?
Got a proboat blackjack 9. I need to find something with cooling in 15mm barrel. I think a 2030 will be too big still. also need a tiny cooling plate for the esc. maybe i should send this to you to have fun with.
Did you add a cooling plate to your Smallbolt? I see more outlets than mine has. My Smallboat hatch has warped, Ive tried steaming it. Any suggestions?
No sir it's basically the stock cooling setup I did switch the cooling I'm & out on the motor for better flow. As for the hatch, steam or heat should get the water out.
@@IRONCLADRC Ill go for it again w steam and really hit it. I did get warp out, but the next day it returned. I even taped it to the boat when it was hot still.
@@IRONCLADRC Do you have any clue what Octura prop I put on this thing years ago or what was suggested? I'd hate to loose it not knowing. I use fuel tubing as a 'lock' on the prop nut.
@@IRONCLADRC Dang autocorrect. What I meant was, how about using two of those high kv skinny motors in the vintage hydroplane. Looks like they would fit nicely even with a water jacket.
My wife & I were just talking about the NQD hydroplane build. She want me to build it it's her favorite looking boat. That's a good idea brother thanks
Ms. Geico for sure! She has huge potential

Yeah throw it in the BOLT, is my vote. Mate that opening!!! And you reckon im a trip!!! Haha the creativity!!
The Geico boat !
Hi man Sebastiano from Italy here. I think that it is good for hidroplane with a small prop.....
My vote is for the "Tiny Titan 12". It looks there is plenty of room and doesn't mess with the other plans.

😂😂Laughed my ass off at that intro.
You're the best too funny. That's a bad ass little motor.
Put it the wooden shovelnose
Lol..great start big b..lol I vote the kneeler

Thanks yea that makes sense black carbon wrap. Thanks again for pointing that out
I’d Put it in the Small bolt hydro.
That's what I'm thinking to! :) It should be a real Ripper!

You'll love the mg36 she's a solid boat for sure. I don't have one yet. Yet.
Or maybe one of your other small fiberglass hulls from DeadAhead, that motor just might be the thing for a jet drive 🤔

There's old-school small aluminum cooling rings for nitro engines that may work with small motors.

The mg17 needs that 🤣
Where can I get this motor from
Tp power USA 29 series
Yes Geico boat
Mg 17 brother !!!!!! Bg4l
How about the vintage judo? You could use 2!
Judo? Maybe auto correct misspelled?

Wait til she sees my birthday wish list! All I can say is OSE is going to love somebody! 😉
Tiny Titan 12
Baby motor baby geico keep it light
You wanna sell that baby tp I wanna use it in a typhon grom build!!
Someone sent it to me, probably hold on to it
@@IRONCLADRC I will trade you a brand new tenshock vz1540 2958 2950 kv 7turn motor! Which I bought for this build but it's just too big!
Tfl small bolt all the way only cause I want to see that 380 in the MG 17
My thoughts exactly
Geico 17
Hydro!!!
The Small Bolt deserves it. Probably be more driveable on 2s, or is that just boring??
She would probably fly on 2s
FIRST X RATETED VIDIO FOR YOU B. THOUGT I HAD THE WRONG CHANEL
lmfao
Kneeler
what is happening lol.
