they are now selling the artwork case edition, it removes the scratches issue and it let's you add your own artwork. And several clear colors, not just crystal clear. And it now includes USC port with a braided USB C cable. great video, this is just a June 2022 update, it seems very well improved today vs. this one. kudos to the video and super kudos to them for making improvements
enjoyed the review. looking forward for your review on the silencing cause I always notice how loud this controller is when just watching clips of people playing.
It looks pretty cool and ideal for traveling or taking to the arcade. I do think for just a stay at home controller, I would prefer the full size of the Hitbox even though that is missing the l3 and r3 buttons. I just really find the hitbox the perfect size for comfortability and I do think I would prefer the sanwa buttons over the alternative from the Snack box micro even though they are louder. I live directly east of Tokyo on the central coast of California and sadly we don't have any arcades around here anymore so the hitbox suits my needs for a home controller for fighting games on PC, PS3, and PS4.
Great video editing and environmental shots! This is your best editing yet. I really like the Micro bc it fits in a really tiny bag and feels the most like a mechanical keyboard. The MPRESS is hella nice too but it has a unique feel unlike metal cases.
Ive already had hitbox arcade, it was perfect except travelling to tournaments, so now Im looking for this tiny friend especially with evo design. Sûre Im gonna enjoy it at home on the table in front of my laptop, but afraid that I could not to use it on my legs (Im a big person) thé way I play it in tournaments
@@KaliburJP yea I had to find out the hard way, the way I fixed it was putting the case in between some cutting boards in the dish washer on high. It’s not a permanent fix but it works
I personally just can't justify for myself to buy this when it looks this cheap, Like something from the DIY category. Those nubs as the extra buttons at the top also doesn't help , And its even worse that they aren't even labeled which is just a huge turn off for me and all of that together helps make the controller look even MORE cheap to me. A friend of mine who bought this also said that it really sucks to lab with this controller because of how these extra buttons at the top are, Not nice or intuitive to the touch AT ALL (Also said he is always afraid to break them by mistake lol). And I really don't feel good being tied to ONLY 1 type of buttons, That just feels wrong to me so I wouldn't mind if it was a bit more fat in order to fit buttons like Sanwa. Micro USB in 2022? Nah fam, Just hella naaaaaah. The LEDs are nice but not something I look for in my controller at all and really would remove them entirely if that would reduce the cost because I think its absurd this is priced as much as it is considering all those things. Also, That extra space around the buttons is indeed really prone to collect dirt and that's just asking for problems. if it was cheaper in price that I would totally be ok with it because this looks like something that is supposed to be a cheap alternative for people to get into this style of controller (or just a more portable one) but instead its actually kinda pricy, Almost the same as the OG Hitbox or even some tournament level arcade sticks which house the joysticks that add to the overall price itself. imo the only selling point to this product is its size, I don't think people would even look at it if it wasn't for that aspect alone, EVERY person I talked too who owns this and 1 is a personal friend of mine always talked about that fact first before talking about the other aspects of this product. if if i'm buying something that is not from the big companies, This definitely ain't it unfortunately... if either Razer/Victrix/Hori/Qanba won't be getting into this market, i'll just opt to getting the OG Hitbox even though I have my gripes with it as well. On a more positive note, your video really did this controller justice, Really good camera work and nice video quality and editing!
@@iwillgosomewhere I just looked it up, While it is definitely not for me, For its price its hella worth it! I would be recommending it over the Micro any day, easily.
It works, and that's great, but the fact that they say it's open source on the website is a fucking meme. No led customization, no firmware contribution, c&ding home made versions with no patent. wouldn't give them any more of my money after preordering an art case being promised November and then it's still not even in production yet LMAO. There are much cheaper alternatives with better customization including choosing socd. Only thing this pad has going for it is durability
i'm still not very sure about this one , i play on pc but i also have a switch and ps4 XD but im also new to versus fighting game ... and spending 200 euro on this one seems pretty expensive but i look so great xD

Awesome review! Their website says all units from March 2022 onward will be USB-C. Just put an order for one, here’s hoping I’m in the USB C window
Thanks! I'm sad that I missed out on USB-C but real happy that they actually improved upon it for future users. I hope you get it!
this video just has the vibes
This review is super high quality. Subbed
You can also get a 10 foot usb c cable for the controller

I love the snackbox micro I had it since April of last year, my only problem is that the first version of the case warps in the heat.
oh wow that's the first time hearing about that! Thanks for sharing!

do you know the know the name of the store that you bought your gamerfinger buttons from?
Do they make one with the same layout + Stick?

Look up the Crush Counter! 100$ flat, customizable firmware and LEDs. Hot swappable and has native I2C connection

I agree, This thing should not cost as much as it is. it has too many flaws
im new to this style of controller. what are the cheaper alternatives ?
