Fantastic reaction! Starlight Glimmer was in my opinion the best villain in the series. She appeared to be an innocent unicorn, not a tall demon, not a lovesucking changling, just an ordinary unicorn. Until she brainwashes an entire town, manipulates children, and goes on a quest for revenge. This was a definite wolf in sheep's clothing sort of villain similar to Queen Chrysalis but on an entirely new level. This season finale was slightly better than the god tier finale of S4 and they continue to push the quality to the next level. Amending Fences & Crusaders of the Lost Mark were works of art in this season, and i cant wait to do a top 10 episodes/songs video. It's gonna be hard to pick favorites but i will try. Now to get the popcorn ready to binge watch all the other reactors!

Trivia: 1. A reality in which Trixie took over equestria was scripted, but was cut from the final product due to time constraints. 2. A reality in which Derpy ruled was proposed but was cut as it took away from the tone 3. Another scrapped reality would have been Twilight meeting with an older Starlight standing over a desolated world. In it older Starlight would have pleaded with Twilight to forgive what she did and beg her to stop her younger self. This was scrapped as it was deemed too dark for a child's show

39:46 - 39:49 I know the episode is like old, but after hearing this I immediately thinking about how ABSURDLY lucky the CMC got their cutie marks at the same time. It's satisfying yet... it's sad. Imagine if only one or two of them only get their cutie marks...
When Twilight fought Tirek, she had the power of four alicorns. Here, she just had her own, so her exhaustion is understandable-- particularly since she hasn't had her alicorn abilities as long as the other princesses. I think Discord wasn't in the last scene because he doesn't live in Ponyville, but I agree that it would've been nice for him to be included. The finale was really enjoyable. I liked it. I do feel Starlight's redemption was a bit too 'clean' and quick, but otherwise, I don't mind it. Hopefully, there'll be another (non-redeemed) scheming type villain later on. A refreshing change of pace from the powerhouse villains.
Chrysalis' future is worse than Sombra's, because there was still a chance that Equestria could win against Sombra. But they already lost against Chrysalis.

Remember that in the Tirek fight, she had the magic and strength of THREE other alicorns to draw from, and managed to make a stalemate with him without breaking a sweat. But here, she's just one alicorn who had the rotten luck of going up against a unicorn with even MORE raw magical abilities than her! So yeah, you got nothing. :P

Meanwhile Starlight was being brought back to the past with plenty of time to relax and refresh. I can't beleave they topped Season 4. Now for my thoughts: When I first saw Tirek, he was my favourite. When I first saw Adagio, she was my favourite. When I first saw Starlight, I thought she was better than Chrysalis, but weaker than Discord. But the more I thought about how smart she is, how she talked and touched everyone, how good of a manipulator she is, she grew better and better. She used Fluttershy to lure out the "traitors" and then at the first sign of trouble, would have sent her back to the cottage. If that buckest of water hadn't been, she would have won, because the mane 6 would have given into the reconditioning by the end of the week and Fluttershy would not have had any oportunity to get the Cutie marks. Then her own friends would have told her that Flutters didn't give in yet. Then I found out that she would be in the finale and wanted to wait to judge further. She was remarkable (no pun intended). She had a good, natural reason for what she did, other than just looking or being evil. Not every villain needs a big backstory. She made the fate of Equestria seem lost even more than Tirek, because she actually, kinda succeeded about six times. She showed real emotions. She is a full character, just like Discord, now. But he was too careless as a villain. And they did it in less episodes.

I really liked this one, my thoughts about some of the other reacters was that they were thinking too much about, we got cameo's from all of the shows villains they all made appearances and I felt that the way Twilight overcame things was really clever and the fact that Starlight didn't know what effect she was having on the future.

Minor note at the halfway point. It feels like people forget but the Wonderbolts are not just a stunt team. They are part of the Equestrian Military. Remember they come from the formation EUP guard after Nightmare Moon and are meant to protect Equestria. They're performances are just like how the air force does shows for the public from time to time.

So we pretty much live in a timeline where there must have been some serious friendship fuckup in the past :P Fortunately, this episode might be a key to how to fix it. I mean, all these ponies breaking the 4th wall at the end of the episode and staring at us eloquently, as if they wanted to tell us: "Yup, we're talking about you now. Take the lesson, Celestia dammit!" :P
I liked the episodes. I love time travel. I wanted to see more of the discord future it defantly should have been a bigger plot point than then the flim flam brothers. discord had two time the mane 6 had to stop something he had done (season 2 opener and season 4 opener because the vines were his)

What if Starlight Glimmer simply *faked* her backstory, because she knew that Twilight will fall for it as a Princess of Friendship and will try to redeem her? What if her redemption was also faked and according to her evil plan, because all she really wanted is to gain Twilight's and her friends' trust and infiltrate mane six to break them from the inside? ];-> MUAHAHA! That would be a perfect plot twist for Season 6! :D

and yeah i couldnt decide which present was better but i loved all 3 of them (sombra, Chrysalis and Nightmare)
So we pretty much live in a timeline where there must have been some serious friendship fuckup in the past :P
Fortunately, this episode might be a key to how to fix it. I mean, all these ponies breaking the 4th wall at the end of the episode and staring at us eloquently, as if they wanted to tell us: "Yup, we're talking about you now. Take the lesson, Celestia dammit!" :P

I liked the episodes. I love time travel. I wanted to see more of the discord future it defantly should have been a bigger plot point than then the flim flam brothers. discord had two time the mane 6 had to stop something he had done (season 2 opener and season 4 opener because the vines were his)
